Unfortunately, Aka Ranger and Ao Ranger stopped Skull Mask. But Skull Mask hadn't given up. At the Black Cross Army Base, on a screen, Rainbow Mask is showing Black Cross Fuhrer, how strong his Rainbow Fortress is. A super alloy defense barrier shields the fortress. Several missiles are launched at Rainbow Fortress. The missiles explode once they hit the shield. Rainbow Mask brags that it's literally an impenetrable fortress. Black Cross Fuhrer is very pleased. Rainbow Mask is eager to go with the plan to attack five major cities in Japan. Rainbow Mask starts to leave, but Black Cross Fuhrer tells him to stop. Black Cross Fuhrer is expecting someone to arrive very soon. Outside the Black Cross Army Base, a car approaches, flanked by two Zolders on motorcycles. It is very bright inside the car and a powerful glare emits from the windows. A bright light shines inside the Black Cross Army base as the figure makes his way inside. Several Zolders salute. After he passes them by, the Zolders talk among themselves. One wonders if that is the legendary Sun Halo Mask. Sun Halo Mask is an invincible tyrant known for his victories in Africa. Sun Halo Mask enters the briefing area. The glare hits Rainbow Mask and he tries to shield his face. Black Cross Fuhrer greets Sun Halo Mask. Rainbow Mask is angry to see Sun Halo Mask. Black Cross Fuhrer tells Rainbow Mask, that Sun Halo Mask will be a help to you. Rainbow Mask doesn't think so and responds that his Rainbow Fortress is invincible. Sun Halo Mask tells them, he has seen the Rainbow Fortress. But that barrier is not perfect. This makes Rainbow Mask more angry - how could you criticize my fortress! Sun Halo Mask tells him, the barrier works great for attacks from the side, but when it's attacked from directly above...Did you forget about Variblune? Rainbow Mask considers this information. Black Cross Fuhrer asks Sun Halo Mask if he has any type of plan? Sun Halo Mask responds, you can count on me, sir. Rainbow Mask successfully captures Variblune and immediately puts it to use. Rainbow Mask and Sun Halo Mask are inside the cockpit of Variblune as Variblune drops several bombs over Tokyo. Black Cross Fuhrer is watching on his screen and he is also pleased with the clever scheme. Unfortunately, soon after, Akira Shinmei/Ao Ranger takes back control of Variblune. A battle follows and Rainbow Mask is destroyed by Gorenger Storm. Afterwards, Black Cross Fuhrer curses the Gorengers. Sun Halo Mask tells Black Cross Fuhrer, if Rainbow Mask had formed a united front with him, it wouldn't have ended like this. Black Cross Fuhrer summons Mirror Mask and tells him to join forces with Sun Halo Mask and defeat the Gorengers.
