MR. CAPLAN

Mr. Caplan - Henry Cannon

Mr. Caplan is the principal of Angel Grove High School.  Trini and Kimberly had set up a table to gather petitions to shut down a waste site.  Mr. Caplan stop at their table.  Mr. Caplan was impressed with their efforts but wondered if the site was as bad as the girls had pointed out.  Kimberly and Trini affirmed the waste site was causing a lot of pollution for Angel Grove.  Mr. Caplan was, once more, impressed and he walked away.  At the end of the school day, Mr. Caplan was walking down the hall.  He came across a hall that was mess with trash everywhere on the floor.  Trini, Billy, Jason, Zack, and Kimberly were in the hall and Mr. Caplan assumed they were the ones who had made the mess.  Mr. Caplan wanted to talk to them, but was called away when a voice on the loudspeaker announced that Mr. Quackmeyer wanted to talk to Mr. Caplan.  Mr. Caplan stepped away for a moment.  When he returned, the hall was clean.  Mr. Caplan was puzzled as to how the hall looked so clean.  Mr. Caplan gave up and walked away.

The Youth Center was hosting a Cultural Food Festival.  Mr. Caplan was there as the teens set up the various booths.  Mr. Caplan stopped to talk to Kimberly and Trini.  He hope the festival raised enough money for Angel Grove's preschool/daycare center.  Billy, Jason, and Zack joined the group.  Mr. Caplan liked the dish Kimberly held, but Kimberly yanked it away.  Billy held a jar and told him it would be twenty dollars.  Mr. Caplan decided he wasn't hungry after all and walked away.  Soon the doors opened and the festival was a success.  Mr. Caplan stopped at various booths.  Mr. Caplan stopped at Jason's and Kimberly's booth.  The booth featured food from the USA.  Mr. Caplan was very pleased to see such a good community turnout.  Mr. Caplan then walked over to Trini's and Billy's booth.  Their booth featured Asian food.  Billy and Trini tempted Mr. Caplan with various dishes.  Mr. Caplan was considering which one when suddenly a pie flew by and knocked off his toupee.  The pie hit Skull in the face.  Skull screamed food fight.  The teens went wild throwing food at each other.  It became very chaotic very fast.  Mr. Caplan took his toupee out of the punch bowl, wrung it dry, and placed it on his head.  Mr. Caplan ducked behind a table and peeked at the madness in front of him.  He yelled a couple of times to get some of the kids to stop, but no one listen to him.  Mr. Caplan got up from his hiding place, just as Bulk hit the table and knocked the food and punch bowl aside.  The punch landed on Mr. Caplan, drenching him.  Mr. Caplan screamed and everyone stopped.  Mr. Caplan was furious.  Mr. Caplan blamed the mess on Trini, Billy, Jason, Zack, and Kimberly.  Jason tried to tell him what really happened, but Mr. Caplan didn't want to listen.  He grabbed a broom and tossed it to Jason, putting him in charge of the clean up.  Mr. Caplan only hoped they had raised enough money for the playground equipment before he stormed away.  Later, Mr. Caplan walked into the Youth Center.  The place was still a mess and empty except for Billy, Jason, Zack, Kimberly, and Trini.  Kimberly apologized about the food fight.  Mr. Caplan told them he knew they hadn't been responsible for it.   Despite the chaos they had almost raised enough money for the equipment.  Jason, Zack, Kimberly, Trini, and Billy were heading trays of food.  Mr. Caplan was hungry as he had skipped lunch.  Mr. Caplan wanted one of the dishes and they reminded him it would cost twenty dollars.  Trini reminded him it would make up the difference for the playground equipment.  Mr. Caplan gave them the money and choose the spicy dish.  Billy tried to warn him, but Mr. Caplan had already started to eat.  Mr. Caplan began to ask for water in a choking voice.  The teens brought him a pitcher of water, which he dunked over his head.  His wig fell off again.  Mr. Caplan told the teens not bad, not bad at all.  They all laughed.

Mr. Caplan once told Skull that he was an airhead.  This made Skull think he had the mind of a pilot.

Angel Grove High School is doing the play Rumpelstiltskin.  Rehearsals are in one of the classrooms.  Mr. Caplan is overseeing the production.  Billy is the director.  Trini is his assistant.  The cast includes Kimberly as the miller's daughter, Jason as the King, Skull as a court jester, and Bulk as Rumpelstiltskin.  Zack and Tommy are watching play rehearsal.  The cast goes through their lines.  All goes smoothly until Bulk misses his cue.  Bulk hasn't been paying attention and Trini points out that he has missed his cue.   Bulk quickly starts doing his lines - with a little Bulk flavor added to it.  Mr. Caplan asks Bulk where is his costume?  Bulk replies that he is just adding a touch of the 90's.  Mr. Caplan checks his watch and then tells Bulk to get on with it.  The play rehearsal continues.   Bulk is very rough with the spinning wheel.  This upsets Kimberly as it is her grandmother's spinning wheel.  Bulk tells Mr. Caplan that Kimberly is making him mess up his lines.  Bulk spins the spinning wheel way too fast.  The wind from the spinning wheel makes Mr. Caplan's toupee fly off.  Bulk starts laughing.  Kimberly gets really mad.  Kimberly checks the spinning wheel and is furious to find it is broken.  Kimberly yells at Bulk that he has ruined her grandmother's spinning wheel.  Mr. Caplan calls a break before anything else gets broken.    The following evening, the Youth Center is hosting the play Rumpelstiltskin.  Bulk & Skull are sitting in a storage room, watching their cartons.  Mr. Caplan walks into the room and is not happy to see Bulk & Skull sitting there.  he asks them what they are doing?  Mr. Caplan yanks Bulk & Skull out of their chairs and tells them the curtain is up.  Mr. Caplan drags them backstage.  The play goes smoothly except for one mishap - Bulk bending over and ripping his pants.

Mr. Caplan had a meeting with Kimberly to go over the pep rally plans.

The Youth Center is packed with teens practicing for the talent show.  Mr. Caplan is supervising when Tommy and Jason walk up to him.  Jason refers to Mr. Caplan as Mr. C as he says hello.  Mr. Caplan is looking forward to a great show of talent.  Jason thinks it's going to be awesome.  Tommy adds it's a great idea and thanks Mr. Caplan for thinking of it.  A little later, Bulk and Skull had found some boiled eggs back stage.  Bulk is about to eat some, when Mr. Caplan walks up and asks them if they are looking for something?  Bulk replies that he was just looking for his guitar.  Skull adds that Bulk likes to check his instruments before he performs.  Mr. Caplan asks Skull what is he doing here?  Skull spots some cymbals and picks them up.  Bulk discreetly  mouths no.  Skull ignores him and tells Mr. Caplan, he's just checking his cymbals, which he then proceeds to bang together.  The sounds makes Mr. Caplan's toupee fall off.  Both Mr. Caplan and Bulk are visibly vibrating as they try to get their bearings.  Later that day, the talent show was a big success.

Mr. Caplan walks up to the water fountain for a drink.  He is soon covered with suds.  The "teens" (who are actually Twin Man and four Putties who Twin Man duplicated into exact copies of the teens and are responsible for putting laundry detergent into the water fountain) are amused by Mr. Caplan's predicament.  The water fountain continues to spray the soap suds everywhere.  Mr. Caplan tries to walk away, but slips and falls on the floor.  Just then classes end and students pour out of the classrooms and spot Mr. Caplan on the floor.  Mr. Caplan tries to get up, but slips onto the floor.  Mr. Caplan continues to struggle to get up off the floor.  "Trini" taunts gotcha!  Mr. Caplan screams at them, detention!  The "teens" laugh.  As they walk away, "Zack" comments, we really cleaned up!  Trini, Jason, Zack, Billy, and Kimberly walk into the hall and are surprised at what they see.  They hurry over.  Jason turns off the water fountain.  Billy kneels down to see if Mr. Caplan needs a hand.  Mr. Caplan replies, you five, detention now!  Kimberly exclaims what!  Jason has no idea what is going on. In a few moments, Mr. Caplan cleans himself up as he addresses the students in detention.  Not only are Billy, Jason, Zack, Kimberly, and Trini in detention, but Bulk and Skull as well.  Mr. Caplan tells them you all know why you are here.  Skull makes a raspberry sound and then looks around as if he didn't do it.  Mr. Caplan continues, your drinking fountain prank was the height of delinquency.   Jason starts to protest, but Mr. Caplan screams, silence!  Now you are to remain in your seats for the duration of the day.  I have a meeting to attend.  Bulk tells Mr. Caplan to go to his meeting.  I know the routine.  I'll fill them in on the rest.  Mr. Caplan leaves for his meeting, but warns he will be back to check on them shortly.  After awhile, Mr. Caplan found Kimberly out in the hall, trying to leave the classroom.  Mr. Caplan returns with Kimberly in tow.  Mr. Caplan tells Kimberly to stay in.  An embarrassed Kimberly joins her friends as Mr. Caplan leaves the classroom.  Eventually the teens tricked Bulk and Skull into covering their eyes and ears so they could teleport out and battle and destroy Twin Man and the Putties.  Later, Mr. Caplan staring cautiously at the water fountain.  Bulk and Skull stand in the doorway of the classroom.  Bulk yells, Mr. Caplan!  Those goody-goods split!  Mr. Caplan is skeptical.  Skull tells him, scouts honor.  Please go in and check.  In the classroom, Billy, Kimberly, Trini, Zack, and Jason have all teleported in.  They quickly scramble to get to their seats and look like they have been working.  Out in the hall, Mr. Caplan decides to look, but warns Bulk and Skull that if they are in there, you guys will be doing detention at age fifty!  Skull doesn't care, what's another two years. Mr. Caplan walks into the classroom and sees the teens sitting at their desks.  Bulk and Skull follow Mr. Caplan in and they are confused by what they see.  Bulk asks them, how did you do that?  Zack replies, it's magic.  Kimberly adds, with mirrors like this one.  The bell rings.  Jason, Kimberly, Billy, Trini, and Zack start to gather their things.  Mr. Caplan tells them, he hopes they all learned a lesson.  With a chuckle, Jason replies, we sure did.  Mr. Caplan faces Bulk and Skull and tells them he will see them tomorrow.  They wave him away.
