Melissa

Melissa is a deaf student of Kimberly's aerobics/dance class.  Rita Repulsa sent down Gnarly Gnome to capture a few girls leaving the Angel Grove Youth Center.  Gnarly Gnome's music put the girls into a trance, except for Melissa.  Melissa followed the Gnarly Gnome and the girls to a cave.  Melissa was unable to enter the cave and return to the Angel Grove Youth Center to find some help.  Using a piece of paper, Melissa wrote down the message that her friends were in trouble and showed it to Jason.  Jason immediately left with Melissa.  Melissa led Jason, Kimberly, Trini, Billy, and Zack to the cave.  She went into hiding as the Rangers rescue the girls.  Melissa would later ask Billy to dance.
