Angela - Renee Griggs
Angela is a lovely young woman and the object of Zack's affections. Angela was at the Youth Center. She had several hula hoops and was doing well with them, when Zack walked up. Zack asked her if she had any time for the Zack man. Angela tells him to get real. Later that day, Angela is at the counter. She is getting a tray of smoothies from Ernie. Zack accidentally bumps into her. The tray goes flying and the smoothies dump on Bulk & Skull. The place erupts in laughter.
The Youth Center was having a costume party. The place was packed with teens decorating for the party. Angela was there to help with the decorating. She carried a decoration to be hung up. Angela walked by Zack. As soon as Zack saw her, he left Jason to offer Angela his assistance. Later that day, the costume party was in full swing. Angela was dressed as an Egyptian Queen. She stood by the refreshment table. Zack and Jason were standing close by. Zack does some "Egyptian" dance moves to impress Angela. Zack asks Angela to dance. Angela replies go back to your tomb, Tut and walks away.
Angel entered the Youth Center. Zack had been trying to convince Tommy to go ahead and ask Kimberly to the dance. The sooner you do, the sooner your mind will be at ease. Tommy doesn't quite buy it. Tommy replies, if you're such a pro, let's see you in action. Zack is more than happy to demonstrate his moves on Angela. Zack gives a play by play. First you have to catch her eye with your walk. Angela gives Zack a look and continues her way to the counter. Tommy grins as he watches. Zack continues. Then you have to impress her with some smooth spins, which he then demonstrates. Angela continues walking. Zack concludes - finally you just have to bust some moves. Zack does some great dance steps, but none of them impress Angela. Zack slides over to where Angela is standing at the counter. Angela tells Zack to get a life, before walking away.
Angel Grove was hosting Power Rangers Day at Angel Grove park. Angela was among the crowd, along with Ernie and Miss Appleby. Angela walked through the park grounds with Miss Appleby. Zack spots Angela in the crowd and calls out to her. Angela walks over and Zack asks her out. Angela turns him down and tells him if he was a Power Ranger, she would say yes in a minute. Angela tells him to keep trying and walks away. Soon the whole crowd is watching Bulk and Skull on stage as they announced they are Angel Grove's newest superheroes, The Incredible Bulkster and Super Skull, Boy Wonderful. A couple of young boys asked them to show them their powers. Bulk and Skull did several super hero poses, much to the amusement of Angela and the rest of the crowd. Suddenly Bulk and Skull vanished from the stage. It wasn't long before Angela vanished as well. Rita was using an dimensional vortex beam to make everyone, except the Rangers, vanish from Angel Grove.
The Rangers were able to destroy Cyclopsis, which released the citizens of Angel Grove from the dimensional vortex beam. Angela and the rest of the crowd were very excited to be back. Bulk and Skull reappear on the stage. They scream, we're back! They are so grateful to be back, they begin kissing the stage floor. Mayor Carrington walks up on the stage and shoos them away. Ernie very excitedly points out that the Power Rangers have arrived. Miss Appleby exclaims, my heroes! Mr. Caplan comes to the conclusion that they must have saved us The citizens begin to applaud and cheer. Mayor Carrington asks the crowd to clear the way for the Power Rangers. The Power Rangers walk through the crowd as they make their way towards the stage. Bulk and Skull are very disappointed over the crowds' reaction. Skull asks, what about us? The Power Rangers walk up on stage. Mayor Carrington tells the crowd, as the mayor of Angel Grove city, it is with great pride I stand here before you in the presence of true heroes. They have risked their lives countless times for the safety of our city and it's people. They are true examples of good triumphing over evil and now it is time to thank them. They are the Power Rangers. The Power Rangers step forward on stage and wave as Angela and the rest of the crowd erupts in cheers.
Angel Grove is hosting the Oddball Games at the park. There are two teams, the blue team and the red team. Angela, Bulk, and Skull are on the blue team. Kimberly, Trini, Billy, Jason, and Zack are on the red team. Jason and Bulk compete against each other as they run through a path of tires, having to make sure they place their foot in each one as they race along. They both do well, but at the very last tire, Bulk trips and falls onto the grass. With a mouthful of grass, Bulk glares at Jason's back. There is also sack race. Angela and Zack are both in this portion of the games. Zack gives Angela a hard time as they hop along. Trini and Skull are waiting at their portion of the race - which is the wheel barrel race. Trini shouts encouragement to Jason. Jason reaches Trini and they take off. A few moments later, Bulk reaches Skull and they try to overtake Jason and Trini. Skull ends up getting his face shoved into the grass. From the sidelines, Billy, Kimberly, Zack and the rest of the crowd cheer the competitors on. Trini and Jason cross the finish line first. Everyone cheers, except Bulk and Skull. Jason helps Trini to her feet and they join their friends. Mr. Caplan announces the red team wins. But there is tie between the red team and the blue team in terms of points. Now the final event - tug of war. The winning team will receive the coveted Noble Lion Trophy. Everyone gets very excited. The two teams face each over as they brace for tug of war. Bulk shouts, we're going to whip you good Jason! Jason replies, give it your best shot Bulk! Zack shouts out to Angela, asking if she wants to defect over to the winning side? Zack man saved a special place just for you. Angela tells him to dream on! Bulk adds that Angela knows what side the real men are on. Mr. Caplan tells the teams, on the count of three, I will blow the whistle. Zack is confident they can do it. Mr. Caplan counts to three, blows the whistle, and the tug of war begins. Both teams are giving it their all as they try to pull the other team over. Bulk yells, that trophy is mine buzzard breath! Be prepared to eat mud. Mr. Caplan walks over to the blue team, to keep an closer eye on Bulk. Kimberly shouts, prepare to eat your words Bulk! Both teams continue to struggle to pull the other team over. Billy suggests they apply the law of physics. Trini shouts out, teamwork everyone! The red teams pulls the blue team over. Angela, Bulk, Skull, and Mr. Caplan fall face first into the mud. Bulk picks up his face, spits mud out, and glares at the red team. Kimberly, Zack, Trini, Jason, and Billy cheer, along with the rest of the red team. Billy thinks it's great they won the Noble Lion trophy. Skull and Mr. Caplan struggle to get out of the mud, along with Angela. Zack notices Angela's dilemma and walks over to her. He removes his red tank and offers some assistance as he lays the red tank onto the mud. Angela tells him, you're just loving this, aren't you? Zack doesn't answer, but the grin on his face is enough of an answer. Zack helps Angela up. Jason helps Mr. Caplan up. With an unhappy look on his face, Mr. Caplan tries to wipe the mud off his sweat suit. Later, Angela walks into the Youth Center. She is dressed to the nines. Angela glances around and spots Zack by the punching bag with Jason and Kimberly. Angela walks straight towards him. Angela greets Zack, and asks him how about you and me catching a matinee or something? Zack and Jason are both stunned. Zack glances back at Jason. Jason gives him a thumbs up and motions him to go with Angela. Angela and Zack walk away with their arms linked together. Zack glances back at his friends and tells them, don't call me, I'll call you. Angela and Zack head out. Kimberly and Jason are very happy for their friend. At the movie theater, Zack comments that it's chilly in here. Feels like winter. Zack puts his arm around Angela. Angela removes Zack's arm, telling him it's not that cold. Dejected, Zack watches the movie. Moments later, Angela becomes frighten by the movie and clings to Zack. Zack doesn't mind at all. Just then both Angela and Zack hear his communicator. Angela asks, what's that? Zack tells her it's his popcorn alarm. I'll be right back. Zack leaves the theater and enters the lobby area. (Zack teleports out to help his friends battle and destroy Goatan.) Zack is gone a long time and Angela is stewing when he eventually returns. Zack enters the movie theater, holding two buckets of popcorn and makes his way back to his seat. It is obvious Angela is very angry. Zack notes her expression and apologizes as he hands her a bucket of popcorn. Zack adds, it was a long line. Angela takes the popcorn and glances at it and then at Zack. Angela stands up and dumps the bucket of popcorn on his head. She then places the bucket on his head with a firm pat and walks out.
Zack was helping out Angela with a group of kids she was watching over at the Youth Center. Zack was performing a juggling act for the kids as Angela kept track of the kids with a clipboard. As he performs, Zack tells the kids, juggling is great. It tones concentration skills and improves eye hand coordination and it's a great way to impress the ladies. Zack grins and gives a wink in Angela's direction. Bulk jumps down the steps and towards Zack, closely followed by Skull. Bulk tells Zack, I can do that. Zack responds, let's see and tosses the balls to Bulk. Bulk catches the balls, but spills Skull's drink onto the floor. With his mouth full, Bulk tries to talk to the kids, but no one understands, even Skull, although he does his best to repeat it. Bulk gives Skull one ball and then acts like he is juggling the other two balls by tossing them into the air. Skull simply moves his arm up and down to act as if he is juggling. Bulk and Skull lose their balance on the slippery floor and fall. The kids laugh as the balls come down and hits them on their heads. Amused, Zack tells them, that's no way to do hip hop. Angry Bulk and Skull get up as Bulk declares, I'll show you how to hip hop. Bulk and Skull run towards Zack at opposite ends of the table. Zack quickly jumps over the table and Bulk and Skull crash into each other. Zack asks the kids if they want to see him make Bulk and Skull disappear. The kids gleefully shout yes. Zack stands in the middle of Bulk and Skull and utters a few magic words. Underneath his cape, Zack dramatically pulls out two plastic snakes, which he holds in each hand, and holds out to their faces. Skull and Bulk scream. Skull runs over and jumps onto Bulk. Bulk carries him as he takes off running in terror. The kids laugh some more. Zack reminds them, if you are ever in a jam, you got to think smart. Using your brain is the best ticket out. Angela walks up to Zack and she is very impressed. That was brilliant. Modestly, Zack responds, that was nothing. Zack exchanges the snakes for a bouquet of flowers that he gives to Angela. Angela gives him a kiss on the cheek and walks away. Soon Angela returns and talks to a group of kids before sitting at the counter. After a few moments, Zack sits next to Angela at the counter. Ernie is working behind the counter, but he can hear their conversation. Angela asks Zack, how come you didn't tell me you were so good with kids? Zack replies, you know me. I hate to brag. Ernie chokes on his drink when he hears Zack's reply. Ernie apologizes. Something must have got stuck in my throat. It's also affecting my hearing. Ernie moves further down the counter. Angela and Zack speak at the same time. Zack tells Angela to go first. Angela, shyly tells him, well, I was thinking, if you don't have any plans tonight. I was wondering if....if you would like to take me...Ernie was watching the TV and he tries to draw Zack's attention to the set. Zack doesn't even look at the TV and tells Ernie, not now. Zack eagerly looks at Angela, you were saying? Angela had glance at the TV and is surprised by what she sees. She stands up and points to the TV, stating, look! The TV screen is showing images of Peckster attacking the city. The kids have gathered around the counter, watching the TV. Zack tells them, it's alright. Everything will be okay. Angela adds, stay cool. One little girl isn't worried. I know the Power Rangers will save us. Zack suggests to Angela that he do some magic tricks to keep the kids calm. Angela agrees to the idea. They walk back over to the table, Zack had set up. Zack picks up his wand and says hey to Bulk, who he knows is hiding under the table. Bulk and Skull become startled and flip over the table. Zack asks Bulk, how would you like to make me disappear? Skull and Bulk quickly get up. Bulk asks, make you disappear? You got to be kidding. Zack walks over to the magic cabinet. Bulk and Skull follow him over. Angela and the kids watch the exchange. Zack tells Bulk, when I step inside here, you just wave the magic wand. Zack gives the wand to Bulk and continues, and say iamagoon. Bulk repeats the magic word several time as Zack steps into the cabinet. Zack briefly steps out to tell Bulk, to bring me back, just say Zack. Got it? Bulk nods his head in agreement. Zack steps into the cabinet and closes the curtain. Skull stares intently at the wand as Bulk continues to repeat the magic word. Bulk waves the wand towards the cabinet, saying the magic word. Bulk suddenly realizes what he is saying. Skull laughs until Bulk hits him with the wand. Angrily, Bulk pulls back the curtain and is stunned to see Zack is gone. Skull and Bulk dance around as they realized the trick worked and Zack is gone. After awhile, Angela is kneeling down, talking to a group of kids, when she feels a tap on her shoulder. Angela stands up and faces Bulk as he tells her, the Bulkman is all yours. How about you and me catch the submarine races? Angela replies, I rather give mouth to mouth recitation to a hippo in a mud bath. Skull makes stabbing gestures. Bulk asks, is that a no? Angela responds, yes, now bring Zack back. Bulk gets angry. Look Zack is history! Bulk realizes he said Zack's name and turns around and looks at the booth. Bulk slowly walks towards the booth. He is followed by Angela, Skull, and the kids. Bulk draws back the curtains, and Zack is standing in the booth. The kids cheer as Zack steps out. Zack thanks Bulk. Ernie shouts, hey everyone! Another live report! Angela, Zack, and the kids, except Mikey, gathered at the counter. Bulk and Skull are still trying to figure out what happened. The TV announcer states, we now know the Power Rangers are battling with a beastly bird in it's attempts to peck away the very core of Angel Grove city. Zack tells the kids, it's going to be okay. Angela offers reassuring words as well. The TV announcer continues, it appears the Power Rangers, as of yet, have not gotten the upper hand. No one notices when Zack leaves. Later, Angela and the kids are gathered at the counter when Ernie walks up. They are all cheering when the TV announcer states the Peckster was defeated by the Power Rangers. Mikey turns around and tells Angela, that was the coolest. Did you see the Black Ranger trick the Peckster with the balloons? He used his brain before using his fist, just like Zack. Angela looks around, wondering where Zack is. That evening, Angela walk into the Youth Center with the group of kids. Angela greets Zack and he turns around, surprised to see the kids with Angela. Angela asks, why are you so dressed up? (Zack is dressed in a suit.) We're only taking the kids to the cartoon festival. Zack tries to take in the fact that he will not be having a romantic date with Angela. Angela asks him, wait, did you think this was a date? Zack quickly replies, me, no. Trying to help out her friend, Kimberly tells Angela, Zack always dresses like that when he goes to the movies. Perhaps not believing Kimberly or Zack, she tells Zack, you are so good with kids, I just assumed....Zack tells her, no sweat. Angela tells him, we better we going. The kids walk in front of them as they head out. Downfallen, Zack tells his friends later as they head out. Zack asks Angela, what cartoon festival are we going to see? Angela replies, my favorite. A five hour retrospective of Woody the Woodpecker. Billy, Jason, Kimberly, and Trini cringe as Zack smacks his face.
At Angel Grove High School, Zack asks Angela out to dinner. At first, Angela refuses, but when Zack mentions a French restaurant, Angela changes her mind and agrees. Zack is excited and races off to find pearl earrings for Angela. The following day Angela and Zack go on their double date with Tommy and Kimberly. They arrive at the French restaurant. Zack lets Angela and Kimberly walk ahead of them as they make their way to the table. The teens pick up their menus and note that it is all in French. Zack reassures them. Don't worry. I got it covered. Zack calls for their waiter. Garcon! The waiter walks over. Oui, Monsieur. We are ready to order? Zack replies oui. He suggests to his friends that he take the liberty of ordering for all of them. Zack tries to impress Angela by ordering in French. After their food arrives, Zack notices Angela is not really eating anything, just pushing the food around her plate. Angela, don't you like it? Angela responds, about as much as you like your frog legs. Zack has a quick explanation. I'm just waiting for it to cool a little. The waiter approaches their table. Escusez Moi. There is a Mademoiselle Angela at the table? Surprised Angela replies, that's me. The waiter responds, tres bien. With a distasteful look on his face, he snaps his fingers. Bulk and Skull approached their table singing off key. When Skull sees who's table it is he stops. No way! But Bulk wants to prove his talent. Now wait, Skull. Let's show them what real music is all about. Zack can't believe how badly his date is going. Oh, no. Tommy teases Bulk and Skull. Well, I guess the audition paid off, huh, guys? Bulk and Skull don't respond, instead they sing. My baby's as fine as a porcupine. And her eyes are brown like mud. But she's the queen of mean. So why does she treat me like a French bean? Angela is not impressed. Some surprise Zack. In a last ditch effort, Zack gives his gift to Angela. Angela takes the gift but is reluctant to open it. I suppose this explodes or a can of worms jump out at me. Zack pleads with her to just open it. Angela is very surprised to see a lovely pair of pearl earrings. She tells Zack they're beautiful. Zack is very excited to see one thing go right. You like them? Angela responds, I love them. Angela and Zack lean in for a kiss as the waiter approaches their table with a large cake. Bulk and Skull are still enthusiastically playing and Skull accidentally hits the waiter with his guitar. The waiter loses his balance and falls onto their table, slamming the cake onto it. Skull then accidentally hits Bulk and both of them go flying and crash into another table. The waiter is furious. Look what you've done! Bulk has a mouthful of frog legs. Skull gets every excited and pops one of the frog legs out and starts eating it. Bulk spits out the remaining frog legs which Skull quickly gathers up. Zack and Tommy have both been splattered by the cake. They get up and try to wipe themselves off. Tommy tells the girls, I think we better go clean up. Zack agrees. Absolutely. Uh, we'll be right back, ladies. Don't go away. Angela softly replies, I wouldn't dream of it. Zack and Tommy leave. Kimberly persuades Angela to try on the earrings. Angela puts in one earring and Kimberly tells her it is so beautiful. Okay, try on the other one.
