Lord Zedd had been watching Adam give a report on his kaleidoscope . This gave Lord Zedd the idea to scatter the Rangers' memories. Tommy, Kimberly, and Billy are at the park with Adam's kaleidoscope. Lord Zedd sent down several Putties. When the Putties arrive, Kimberly, Billy, and Tommy battle the Putties. During the battle, Adam's kaleidoscope is dropped. The three teens defeated the Putties. The ground shakes as Lord Zedd creates Scatterbrain. Scatterbrain's rays breaks it's victims into millions of pieces and then reassembles them, without any memory of who they are. Billy tells his friends they need to morph. The three teens morph. Scatterbrain hits them with a ray. The three Rangers demorph and have no memories. Tommy, Billy, and Kimberly are confused and they are unable to help each other. Scatterbrain laughs and vanishes. Later, Scatterbrain arrives on the outskirts of town. Unknown to Scatterbrain, Bulk and Skull are close by and witnessing everything. Four flashes of color arrive and it is Aisha, Kimberly, Rocky, and Tommy. Scatterbrain casts his ray at the four teens. They leap out of the way.
