Page Thirty-Five

Shawna, despite herself, is impressed.  Shawna tells Kimberly she can't believe Kimberly is being so nice to her, after she had been so mean.  But Kimberly had figured out what was going on.  Shawna's parents are divorce as well.  Every time someone close to Shawna leaves, it brings back the memories of when her dad left.  Kimberly knows how Shawna feels and tells her that she soon realized that although her dad was not with her all the time, he still loved her.
