Chase Randall - The Black Dino Charge Ranger

Chase works at the Amber Beach Dinosaur Museum.  Chase hails from New Zealand, but now lives in Amber Beach.  He also enjoys skateboarding and has a fondness for the ladies.  A museum guide is giving a tour of the dinosaur exhibits.  Museum Guide:  "The world was teaming with life.  But asteroids hit the planet and the dinosaurs went extinct.  That was 65 million years ago.  Now, just follow me over here."  Chase is pushing a cart through the museum when he is stopped by a young man, Tyler.   Tyler asks, do you work here?  Chase replies, I do mate.  Tyler points to his journal and tells Chase, I'm looking for this cave.  My dad did some exploring here, ten years ago.  Chase takes a look at the drawing and recognizes the Sampson Caves.  He points to a fossil and tells Tyler that fossil was found there.  Its about fifteen miles roughly from the city.  Tyler thanks him.  Chase replies no worries, and places his head phones back on and gets back to his job.   Chase continues on his way to Dino Bites Cafe.  He enters the busy cafe and sits at the counter and watches the activity around him.  One young woman, Shelby, is a bit distracted as she searches for her guests.  Shelby accidentally bumps into a chair and some drops into Kendall's soup.  Kendall responds, Shelby, as Shelby scrunches up her face in embarrassment.  Shelby makes her way to "her" table.  Shelby glances behind her shoulder as she distributes the food. Shelby continues to glance back as she asks her guests, is there anything else?  One of the customers responds, we haven't even ordered yet.  Shelby tries to play off her mistake by telling the customers, you didn't need to order.  I read your mind.  Enjoy.  Shelby hurries away.  Shelby tracks down Chase, who is going about his rounds.  Chase greets her by calling her Sherry.  You bringing me a present?  Shelby tells Chase her name and asks if he is going fossil hunting.  Chase responds, yeah.  Suppose to be a great fine.  Shelby notices the image of Triceratops.  Shelby tells Chase, you're digging up my favorite dinosaur.  Shelby points to the dinosaur picture on her nametag.  Chase states, let's just cut to the chase and check out a movie.  Shelby is in disbelief and asks, does that line work on New Zealand girls?  Chase replies, nope.  Doesn't work on them either.  Chase starts to push his cart and Shelby follows him.  Shelby suggests instead of a movie, how about you just take me on the dig with you.  Chase apologizes.  Sorry, no can do.  Museum policy.  Chase and Shelby ends up in the docking area of the museum and Chase gets to work as Shelby harasses Koda and then Kendall about going on the dig.  While waiting on Kendall, Chase balances his skateboard on his head as Koda polishes off the burger he snatched from Shelby.  Once the Amber Beach Dinosaur Museum truck is loaded, Chase, Koda, and Kendall head off their next dig.  They eventually arrived in a wooded area.  Chase sets up the work area as Koda unloads the crates.  Later they return to the Amber Beach Dinosaur Museum. 

Koda and Chase are walking away from the  loading dock.  Koda tells Chase, I'm very hungry.  Chase replies, Koda, you're always hungry.   Moments later, Chase and Koda enter the Dino Charge Lab, aware that Tyler, Riley, and Shelby are there.  Kendall also enters the lab.  Shelby is surprised.  Keeper is already there and Chase, Kendall, and Koda go and stand beside him.  Kendall walks up to Tyler and tells him, you fought to defend a stranger at great risk to yourself.  That's why the Red Energem chose you Tyler.  Tyler smiles.  Kendall walks over to Riley and tells him, your discipline and intelligence have given you the skills to protect others.  The Green Energem was very wise to chose you Riley.  Riley gives a hesitant smile.  Kendall walks over to Shelby and tells her, why the Pink Energem chose you...is anyone's guess.   Riley states, okay, Energems, dinosaurs spirits, and bonding.  I'm sorry, but this all sounds a little unbelievable.  Kendall smiles and then tells Chase and Koda, show them.  Chase and Koda step forward.  They hold out their hands, and the Black and Blue Energems fly into their hands.  Kendall explains, I helped Keeper track down Chase after he bonded to his Energem.  Then we found Koda.  Images of Chase and Koda's dinosaurs appear above their hands.  Koda welcomes them to the team.  Chase tells them, you are officially Power Rangers.  Shelby responds, Power what?  Keeper explains, the Energems have given you magnificent powers and the dinosaur spirits give you strength.  Kendall continues, the five Energems have been found, but five more are still lost.  Kendall points out the empty recharge area.  Kendall tells them, you must use your new powers to find them before they fall into evil hands.  Shelby responds, evil hands?  Like that thing we fought in the woods?  Kendall nods her head yes.  Shelby asks, you expect me to fight monsters?  Really?  I just want to dig for dinosaur bones, not bond to one.  The alarms go off and a screen appears.  Tyler asks, what's going on?  They all hurry over to the screen.  After taking a look, Kendall tells them, I'm seeing more seismic activity. Same location as yesterday.  Chase suggests they take a look.  Tyler introduces himself and states, I'm all in.  Kendall replies, good.  Riley tells them, this all seems crazy but...I'm in too.  Everyone, except Shelby, is happy.  Koda tells them, we go now.  They all get ready to leave, but Shelby stays behind.  Koda, Tyler, Chase, and Riley stop when they realize Shelby is not with them.  Keeper tells Shelby, you fought bravely to save the Pink Energem.  Now the world needs your help.  Kendall tells Keeper, it's her decision.  She's right to be hesitant.  Clearly this mission is just too dangerous.  For a waitress.  Go without her.  Chase and Koda immediately start to head out, but Riley and Tyler stay where they are.  Shelby shouts, wait!  Chase and Koda stop.  Shelby states, sure I'm a little scare.  Who wouldn't be?  But I know more about dinosaurs than any of you.  Fact is...you need me.  And I want to help.  After giving Kendall a look, Shelby joins the guys.  Tyler is very proud of Shelby.  Chase tells them, don't forget your Dino Chargers as he grabs his.  Riley and Shelby walk up to the charging area and their Energems fly into their hands, and they join Chase and Koda with grins on their faces.  Tyler walks up to the charging area and holds out his  hand, but nothing happens.  Tyler is confused and another alarm goes off.  Kendall tells them, something is interfering with the Red Energem power.  Keeper tells Tyler, he must stay.  Tyler really wants to go.  Chase, Riley, Shelby, and Koda stand in the doorway, uncertain.  Tyler gives a small nod and agrees.  Chase, Shelby, Koda, and Riley head out.  Chase, Koda, Shelby, and Riley race through the woods.  They suddenly stop when they spot the volcano ahead of them and getting ready to erupt.   Moments later, the volcano erupts and T-Rex Zord emerges.  Chase tells Shelby, you want dinosaurs, welcome to the Power Rangers.  T-Rex Zord charges forward.  Later, the four are contacted and told to head into the city.  Red Ranger laughs as Chase, Riley, Shelby, and Koda race up to him.  Koda tells Red Ranger he looks good.  Chase adds, for a first timer.  Riley asks, are you really in there as he pats Red Ranger's helmet.  Iceage shouts at them, no more games!  I'll destroy all of you!  Koda tells Chase, that is not Fury.  Chase replies, that's for sure.  But whatever it is, it's about to learn who we are.  Chase shouts, it's morphin' time, but before he can get any further, Shelby moves to the front, stating, try to keep up guys.  Shelby shouts, Dino Charger!  Ready!  But nothing happens.  Koda walks up to her and tells her to click.  Abash, Shelby thanks him.  Shelby clicks the Dino Charger.  Chase, Koda, and Riley step forward and click their Dino Chargers.  The four spin around and insert their Dino Chargers into their Dino Blasters.  Each Dino Blaster shouts it's Dino Charger name.  Chase's Dino Blaster shouts Para Charger!  Engage!  The four spin the center device in their Dino Blasters, shout unleash the power,  and morph into Dino Charge Rangers.  Pink Ranger tells the team, we look great together.  Iceage shouts at them, you're still just weak humans!  Red Ranger responds, humans with dinosaur spirits!  Iceage warns them, I hope you're ready to lose!  Get them!  The Vivix run towards the Rangers.  Red Ranger states, it's about to get wild.  The five Rangers charge towards the Vivix.  Black Ranger blasts a couple of Vivix off their feet.  As he blasts more away, he states, call me a hot shot, I never miss.  Black Ranger inserts another Dino Charger into his Dino Blaster.  He leaps into the air and shouts Dino Morpher Blast as he fires at more Vivix.  The group of Vivix are destroyed.  Green Ranger, Pink Ranger, and Blue Ranger destroy another group of Vivix.  Red Ranger and T-Rex Zord destroy the Vivix Zords and Iceage.  Black Ranger, Green Ranger, Blue Ranger, and Pink Ranger race up to Red Ranger.  Red Ranger tells them, no one is going to believe this.  The teens return to the secret lab under the museum.  Tyler asks Riley,  can you show me how to handle a sword like that?  Riley responds, you took out that giant monster, how about you show me?  Koda tells Shelby he is glad she is part of the team now, but...Shelby tells him not to worry.  I'll still make you your favorite Bronto Burger.  Koda grins.  Riley can't wait to tell his brother about what had happened.  Kendall walks up to the group and tell them, incorrect.  No one must know what we are doing here.  Understood?  They all nod and Tyler tells Kendall, you got it.  Chase walks over to Keeper and kneels down.  Gently, Chase tells Keeper, that monster we fought was not Fury.  You said there weren't any other monsters on Earth.  Keeper replies, that monster belongs to Sledge.  A ruthless bounty hunter.  Sixty-five million years ago, he drove me to hide all the Energems, which Kendall has been helping me search for.  Somehow Sledge has returned.  He'll destroy anything to get the Energems, including you.  The teens exchange worried glances.

Inside the Dino Lab, Riley practices his sword skills by hitting the tennis balls as they are shot at him.  Riley is doing rather well, until a clanking noise distracts him and he gets hit by a tennis ball.  With his head phones firmly in place, Chase sings along as he works on his skateboard.  Riley looks at Chase, who is unaware of what happened, throws his arms up in frustration and then goes back to practice.  Shelby slides in and accidentally walks into Riley's practice area.  Shelby manages not to get hit by any tennis balls.  Shelby tells Chase, good morning.  Chase removes his head phones and is very impressed with Shelby's appearance.  Don't you look sharp.  Shelby replies, it is such a relief to finally come to the museum and not have to look....Shelby is surprised to see Tyler has entered and is wearing Dino Bites Cafe apron.  Tyler is very excited.  Isn't it great!  I get to be a bus boy at the cafe.  Kendall walks in and tells Shelby she is late.  Kendall removes Chase's skateboard as she tells him, please Chase, this is a sterile laboratory, not a garage.  Shelby asks Kendall, why is Tyler dressed to work in the cafe?  We're Rangers now.  You know.  Busy saving the world.  Kendall replies, sometimes you're busy saving the world and other times you're busy flipping burgers.  Today it's burgers.  Kendall notes Shelby's look of disappointment.  Kendall continues, that's how you blend in.  No one will suspect you're Rangers.  Kendall hands Shelby's apron back to her.  A very sleepy Koda enters the lab.  Koda asks, do someone say burgers?  Koda sniffs the air as Tyler asks, Koda, do you sleep in that cave?  Koda replies yes.  My home.  Kendall tells the teens, Koda found the Blue Energem a hundred thousand years ago.  During the Pleistocene era.  Shelby states, so you mean, Koda's a....the rest chip in as well, caveman.  Koda smiles and does a muscle pose.  Tyler thinks it's awesome.  Riley is in disbelief.  Really, he's a hundred thousand years old.  That's impossible.  Tyler walks towards Koda's cave and Koda follows him in.  Kendall explains, once he bonded to an Energem, he stopped aging.  None of you will age when you're bonded to an Energem.  Shelby is excited.  So, I'll stay eighteen!  This job has some great benefits!  Riley has decided to enter Koda's cave as well.  Chase adds, and I will always look like this.  Chase gives a big smile.  Shelby responds, so there's some negatives too.   A few moments later, Chase and Shelby enter Koda's cave as well.  Inside Koda's cave, Tyler examines the spears lined up on the walls.  Koda explains, my spears.  Good for hunting Sabretooth Tiger.  Tyler notices the drawings on another wall and walks over to it.  You write on the walls?  Koda confirms that he writes his story on the walls.  Tyler is particularly interested in one of the drawings and asks, who is that?  Koda replies, that is Fury.  Tyler is a little startled by the answer and then leaves the cave.  Koda informs the rest that Fury very bad.  He fight to steal Energem.  Riley has a similar story as he tells them Fury had also tried to take his Energem.  Tyler walks back in with his notebook open.  He points to a page and asks his friends to take a look at it.  The page is a drawing of Fury.  Tyler asks, is that him?  Koda confirms it is.  Shelby adds, the one that was after your dad.  The alarms go off and the teens hurry out of the cave and back into the Dino Charge Lab.  Kendall is standing in front of a 3D model of earth when the teens join her.   She tells them, several objects entering the Earth's atmosphere.  Tyler asks, Sledge?  Chase replies, let's go find out.  Chase, Shelby, Koda, Riley, and Tyler hurry out of the Dino Charge Lab.  Chase, Shelby, Tyler, Riley, and Koda race through a wooded area.  Also walking  through the woods are Poisandra, Wrench, Scrapper, and several Vivix.  Poisandra comments, oh look, it's the Rangers.  The five teens face them and Tyler asks, what are you?  A walking lollipop?  Poisandra responds, well, it's lovely to meet you too.  Not!  Allow me to introduce the most magnificent, inter-galactic bounty hunter in the universe!  Sledge descends from the sky and lands in front of his troops.  Poisandra continues, the one, the only, my future husband, Sledge!  Poisandra walks over and places her hand on Sledge's arm.  Sledge asks, this is a joke right?  You're the Rangers who destroyed my monster?!  Shelby responds, Power Rangers.  Sledge laughs.  Koda sniffs the air and then spots Fury, which he points out to Tyler.  Tyler sees Fury above them.  Tyler states, that's him.  The creature in my dad's journal.  Sledge turns and faces Fury.  Fury acknowledges him with an arm motion.  Sledge continues, as I was saying, you're the trouble makers that stole my Energems!  Suddenly Keeper appears in front of the teens.  Sledge recognizes Keeper as Keeper walks towards him.  Keeper tells him, the Energems belong to no one.  Especially not to you.  Sledge responds, my dear old friend.  You thought that blowing up my ship could stop me!  Think again!  I waited in deep space for million of years for a comet to pass.  I caught it with my electro nets and rode it all the way to Earth.  But it was worth it.  Because finally I will destroy you and then I will leave here with the Energems.  Keeper tells him, the Rangers posses the power of the Energems and the strength of ancient dinosaurs.  If you try to take the Energems, you will be the one who will be destroyed.  Sledge growls.  Keeper walks back towards the teens and then vanishes.  The teens are concerned and Riley calls out a shaky, Keeper!  Shelby, although scared, tells her friends, no prob.  We got this. I guess.  Tyler is still distracted by Fury.  Wrench taunts them, looks like you're going to cry.  Sledge shouts, bring it on weaklings!  Chase pulls out his Dino Charger and shouts, Dino Charger!
