DERRICK
Derrick - Dwayne Cameron
Derrick is on the Reefside High School soccer team. His weakness was that he was unable to score a goal. Derrick was practicing his kick on the soccer field. Conner would set up the balls and Derrick would kick the ball everywhere but the net. This infuriated him. One of the balls knocked over a young man's lap top out of his hands. Derrick smiled when he saw that. The young man angrily came towards Derrick. Derrick was amused by the young man's outburst. He called him a geek and the young man told him his name is Ethan. Derrick continued to be amused over Ethan's anger until Ethan pointed out Derrick's inability to kick a ball. Derrick was mad and ready to swing at Ethan. Conner stepped in between the two and stopped Derrick. Derrick was still angry, but he let Conner walked him away. The following day, Derrick was hanging out in the all with Conner when Ethan showed up. Derrick was surprised that Conner knew the geek. More angry words were exchange. No matter what Derrick said, Ethan came back with a sharper response. Derrick was ready to fight with Ethan and Ethan told him to bring it on. The bell rang and the fight was postponed. Derrick made sure to tell Ethan that he would see him after school. Later in the day, Derrick noticed the commotion outside. He stopped to watch and chuckle as he watch Ethan ran away from a monster. Derrick was joined by Conner and he told Conner that he was so going to enjoy kicking his friend's butt. Conner was going to leave, but the pair were joined by Dr. Mercer, who not letting anyone leave. Derrick went to science class and watched as Ethan and Kira arrived for class late. Derrick made sure to stick out his foot and trip Ethan as he walked past. He watched in amazement as Ethan fell face down onto the floor. Ethan gave him a glare, but Derrick merely replied my bad. Dr. Mercer told Derrick that he believe that the school handbook told the students to treat each other with curtsey and respect. Dr. Mercer planned for Derrick to reveal the handbook in detention that afternoon. This did not stop Derrick from continuing to threaten Ethan. After school, Derrick, Ethan, and Kira serve detention in Dr. Mercer's class. Dr. Mercer kept them there until it was exactly 4:00. Dr. Mercer dismissed them and Derrick was ready to take on Ethan. Ethan's bracelet went off, and Ethan told Derrick that they would have to reschedule. Derrick thought Ethan was trying to get out of the fight, but Kira backed Ethan up by telling Derrick that it was really important that Ethan leave. Derrick told Ethan that he wanted to see him back in an hour, and he would come looking for him. Derrick waited for Ethan at the school soccer field. Ethan had a proposition for Derrick. Derrick though that Ethan was trying to weasel out of the fight, but he listened to Ethan. Ethan would show Derrick how to improve his kick, and Derrick had to leave Ethan and his friends alone. Ethan called for his lap top and Derrick edge closer to Ethan to look at the computer screen. He was impress when he saw his kick compared to a professional's kick. Derrick asked Ethan how he did that, and Ethan reminded him that he was a computer geek. Derrick smiled a little at that, and then continued to watch Ethan's laptop. Derrick thought over what Ethan had showed him and decided to try the kick. Ethan set up the ball and Derrick kick it into the net. He was thrilled. Derrick apologized to Ethan for what he had done. He didn't think a smart guy like Ethan would every talk to a guy like him. Ethan told him that it was a brave new world. Derrick watched as Ethan, Conner, and Kira walked away.
