After Mesogog punishes Elsa, he drinks a potion that separates him after Dr. Mercer. Mesogog orders the Tyrannodrones to take Dr. Mercer away and sets upon a plan to destroy the Power Rangers. Meanwhile, at Dr. Oliver's home, the Rangers are furious over Trent not telling them that his dad was Mesogog. Dr. Oliver is willing to give Trent a chance to explain himself, but forewarns the Rangers that he might ask Trent to turn in his morpher. Dr. Oliver leaves to find Trent. Kira has some sympathy for Trent, when she realizes that she couldn't just turn in her morpher. This leads to Kira, Conner, and then Ethan realizing how far they have come since they have become Power Rangers. The conversation also turns to their science teacher being a legendary Power Ranger and how they almost lost him when Trent was under the evil white gem's spell. Dr. Oliver returns with Trent and the Rangers prepare to hear his side.
Trent explains to the Rangers that things has not been easy on him. He tells them of how the white gem chose him and how he discovered his father's secret. Trent's struggle as the evil White Ranger and how he eventually destroyed the evil White Ranger. Trent believed his father could get rid of Mesogog and promised to keep his secret. Dr. Oliver tells Trent that Dr. Mercer is his friend and he understands his loyalty, but questions whether Kira, Conner, and Ethan feel the same. A monster appears on the computer screen. Trent wants to help and Kira, Ethan, and Dr. Oliver are willing to give Trent another chance. Conner can't believe his friends trust Trent again. The Rangers all morph and head towards the monster. The monster gives them a hard time. Conner goes Triassic and takes the monster to the Triassic dimension. But they soon end up back at Reefside. The monster is about to deal Conner a powerful blow, when Trent stops the monster. The battle continues and escalates to Zords. The Rangers are having a difficult time and Trent, using his zord destroys the monster. The Rangers return to Dr. Oliver's home, where Kira and Ethan tell Trent what a great job he did. Trent tells them he is ready to help them, if they still want him. Both Kira and Ethan vote to have Trent on the team. Dr. Oliver agrees and asks Conner what he thinks. Conner faces Trent and tells him that one day he will face Mesogog, and asks him can he do the job. Trent tells Conner that if Mesogog wins, then his dad is lost forever, he will do whatever it takes to defeat Mesogog.
