Dr. Oliver has had enough of being invisible. He ready to try an experiment to restore him, using his dino gem. Hayley is against the idea, as is Kira. Dr. Oliver is insisted and the Rangers and Hayley set up Dr. Oliver for the procedure. Dr. Oliver is hook-up to some equipment and the process begins. The equipment overloads. Dr. Oliver is back to being visible, but his dino gem is shattered and he is in a coma. They take Dr. Oliver to Reefside Hospital. Dr. Walsh tells them that the longer Dr. Oliver stays in his condition, the worse the chances of recovery are. While Kira, Conner, Ethan, and Hayley are at the hospital, Elsa has release Terrorsaurus II. Elsa has fed Terrorsaurus II with a crystal that has the same properties as the dino gem. A TV in the hospital room, alerts the Rangers that the city is under attack. Conner, Kira, and Ethan leave to defend Reefside, while Hayley stays at Dr. Oliver's bedside. As the Rangers battle Terrorsaurus II, within his mind, Tommy faces Zeo Ranger V.
Tommy is more bewildered when Zeo Ranger V wants to fight him. Tommy doesn't want to, but is drawn into a fight with himself as Zeo Ranger V without his dino gem powers. Meanwhile, the Rangers battle Terrorsaurus II. Trent arrives to help as well. Despite Trent's efforts, Terrorsaurus II soon has Trent demorph. At Channel 3, Devin and Cassidy are called into Mr. Cormier's office. Mr. Cormier tells them there is a monster attack and he wants Ranger footage. Mr. Cormier sends Cassidy and Devin on the assignment. Inside Tommy's head, Tommy has proven himself to Zeo Ranger V. But it's only the beginning, and Tommy soon finds himself facing the White Ranger and the White Ranger wants a fight. Once again, Tommy is battling himself as the White Ranger. Meanwhile, things are not improving for the Rangers, as Terrorsaurus II has the rest demorph. Terrorsaurus II has also fried their morphers and the Rangers find out that they are unable to morph. Terrorsaurus II leaves in triumph. Cassidy and Devin join the Rangers, wanting to know what has happened. Kira, and the rest tell Cassidy and Devin that the Rangers didn't show up. Cassidy and Devin find this a bit strange and report back to Mr. Cormier that the Rangers never appeared. Mr. Cormier tells Cassidy that she has the six o'clock spot with the story that the Rangers have abandoned Reefside. Cassidy is excited, but Devin tells her she will have to the story by herself. The powerless Rangers return to the hospital and talk about Dr. Oliver. Within Dr. Oliver's mind, the White Ranger has left and Tommy is facing his toughest opponent - the Green Ranger. Tommy knows by now, that the Green Ranger wants to fight. In the hospital room, the TV reports another attack and asks where are the Rangers? Kira, Ethan, Conner, and Trent leave to take on Terrorsaurus II, even without their powers, using Dr. Oliver as an example of not quitting. Kira, Ethan, Conner, and Trent confront Terrorsaurus II and have a very difficult time, but they keep at it. During the Ranger battle, Dr. Oliver battles the Green Ranger. Tommy declares to the Green Ranger that he would never quit and passes the test. Zeo Ranger V and White Ranger emerged and together with the Green Ranger tell Tommy that he hadn't been fighting them, he had been fighting for his life. Each Ranger has a piece of the dino gem, which they give back to Tommy. With the three pieces in his had, Tommy wakes up to a joyous Hayley. Tommy opens his hand and finds the his dino gem has been restored. At Channel 3, Cassidy begins her telecast with a disapproving Devin in the background. Cassidy glances his way several times while giving her report on the missing Rangers. Towards the end, Cassidy changes the report to reflect that she still has faith in the Rangers. The Rangers are still having a difficult time with Terrorsaurus II when Tommy appears. Tommy morphs and calls on super dino mode. Tommy makes quick work of Terrorsaurus II. With Terrorsaurus II defeated, the ranger powers are restored to Conner, Ethan, Kira, and Trent. But Terrorsaurus II is restore and bigger. Tommy know Kira, Ethan, and Conner can handle it from this point. The zords come out and the battle continues. The Rangers have a tough time, but refuse to give up and using super dino mode within the zord destroy Terrorsaurus II. After the battle, the Rangers all return to Dr. Oliver's lab. There Dr. Oliver tells them how he had to battle his former selves, in order to fight for his life. The Rangers have a dozen questions for him. Dr. Oliver tells them how much it means to him that they had stuck by him through everything. Hayley also tells them that they should be proud. The emotion brings Conner to tears - although he denies it when questioned by Ethan.
