It's A Mad Mad Mackerel

Kira is excited over her internship at Channel 3. Kira tells Conner and Ethan that her internship is on "The Funky Fisherman Show". The guys are happy for her. Cassidy, who overheard the conversation, is not happy and complains to Devin. On the set of "The Funky Fisherman Show", Kira discovers that the start, Funky Fisherman, is nothing like his happy television personality. Kira runs into Devin, who had been granted the other internship. Devin is not thrilled with his job of watching the security cameras. Marty the Mackerel joins the two and tries to offer words of encouragement. The show airs, with Elsa watching. Elsa decides that Marty the Mackerel would give anyone nightmares and decides to capture. Trent thinks the idea is ridiculous and Zeltrax defends Elsa. Trent and Zeltrax agreed to a dual to determine who will be Mesogog's right-hand man. Kira is on the set eliminating green M&M's from the star's buffet, when Elsa and several Tyrannodrones appear. Kira is unable to morph at first, because Devin is there. Devin leaves to get security and Kira morphs. The Funky Fisherman is shrunk and stuck in a TV set, while Marty the Mackerel is captured. Kira contacts Conner and Ethan and they met her at Channel 3. They cover up the set that the Funky Fisherman is trapped in with a black cloth and decide to take him back to Dr. O's lab. The Funky Fisherman remains ill-tempered throughout his journey. Zeltrax and Trent met at the beach and begin their duel. Marty the Mackerel is transform into the Mad Mackerel monster. At Dr. O's lab, Hayley comes up with a solution for Marty the Mackerel and the Funky Fisherman. Devin is let go of his job because the star is missing. Cassidy finds Devin and is startled when he accidentally mentions his internship at Channel 3. Cassidy quickly gets over her dismay when she finds out Devin has film of the Yellow Ranger. They take off to get the tapes, but are captured by the Mad Mackerel. The Rangers arrive in the city and battle the Mad Mackerel. The Rangers trick the Mad Mackerel and the Funky Fisherman is freed from the TV and back to his normal size. With the destruction of Mad Mackerel, Marty the Mackerel is return to himself. All the captured citizens are also freed and returned to normal - including Cassidy and Devin. The Funky Fisherman realizes he had treated Marty badly and they become friends again. Trent defeats Zeltrax and proclaims himself the new number 2. Things are much more relaxed on the set of "The Funky Fisherman Show" now that the Funky Fisherman has reformed. Kira had decided to stay with the internship and Devin is back as well. Devin is carrying several tapes of the Yellow Ranger that was recorded on the security camera. Devin is knocked forward by Marty the Mackerel and the tapes land in the punch. Devin is upset that the tapes are ruined while the Rangers are relieve.
