Thunder Storm, Part I

A group of construction workers leave an area they have been working on, which happens to be where the Abyss of Evil is. Lothor escapes the Abyss of Evil. At Hayley's Cyberspace, Kira and Trent are working on their homework. Kira notices a young man walk in, who looks familiar to her. Trent tells Kira to go ahead and talk to him, and she does. The young man introduces himself as Blake and Kira is surprised that you can be famous for motor cross. Blake invites Kira to watch him at motor cross and has Jesse give her some passes for her and her friends. Trent watches this exchange, but says nothing. At the Wind Academy, the instructors, Shane, Tori, and Dustin put the ninja students through their paces. After the training session, Shane, Tori, and Dustin found a note from Sensei Kanoi telling them to met him at the highest point at Blue Bay Harbor. At Tommy's house, Hayley believes the new system she has installed is not working. Hayley points out to Tommy that the whole state of California is covered in a blanket of evil - if it was true, they would be in big trouble. Meanwhile, Dustin, Shane, and Tori meet with Sensei Kanoi who tells them that Lothor has escape. Sensei Kanoi tells them that Cam had made morphers for them, just in case and asks them to become Rangers once again. Dustin, Shane, and Tori put on the morphers and become engulfed in purple electrical shocks. When it is over, Dustin, Shane, and Tori are under the evil control of Lothor. Sensei Kanoi reveals himself to be Lothor in disguise and he plots with the Ninja Rangers on taking over Reefside and eventually the world. The real Sensei Kanoi is tied up and helpless to stop his brother.
Cam becomes concern when he cannot find his father. His cousins, Kapri and Marah, try to help him, but Cam decides to go and look for his father. Cassidy and Devin are at the Motocross because Mr. Cormier wants edgier stories and Cassidy figures the Mototoss is the perfect place. Despite her press pass, Cassidy and Devin cannot go beyond a certain point. Kira, Conner, and Ethan, wearing their passes, check out the action at the Motocross. They cheer Blake to his first place finish. Cam searches the woods and finds a torn scroll and purple slime. While Cam is in the woods, the Wind Academy becomes under attack by Lothor, his two new generals. Marah and Kapri are surprised to see Lothor is back. Marah and Kapri are relieved when Tori, Shane, and Dustin appeared and rush to tell them that Lothor is back. Marah and Kapri are further surprised when Tori, Shane, and Dustin are on Lothor's side. An attack is launch and all the Ninja students are captured. To save themselves, Marah and Kapri tell Lothor that they are superb ninjas and can help them. Lothor lets them join his group. Lothor and the Ninja Rangers make plans for their next move. Working late, Hayley continues to work and points out to Tommy that there is an intense area of evil around the Wind Academy. Cam realizes that the Wind Academy is in danger and to find the Academy in ruins and the students gone. Cam contacts Hunter who immediately leaves his Academy to join Cam. Hunter asks about the others, Cam tells him he hasn't heard anything yet. Blake is walking with Kira, Conner, and Ethan who enjoyed the motocross event. Blake invites them to eat, but then receives a message and has to back out. After Blake leaves, Conner, Kira, and Ethan are contacted via their bracelets. Conner, Kira, and Ethan head to Dr. Oliver's house where Hayley, Trent, and Tommy are. They are watching the computer screen and are stunned to see evil Power Rangers and Lothor. Dr. Oliver sends Kira, Conner, and Ethan out to battle. Kira, Conner, and Ethan morphed and face off the evil Ninja Rangers and Lothor. A battle breaks out. Watching the battle from above are Cam, Hunter, and Blake. The Dino Thunder Rangers retreat with the Ninja Rangers laughing at them. Back at Dr. Oliver's, the Rangers are discouraged. Dr. Oliver tells them they have learned one thing and that they are going to need more help. Mesogog and Elsa have been watching the battle and Mesogog sends Elsa to find Lothor and extend him an invitation. The Dino Thunder Rangers want to beat the Ninja Rangers, but Dr. Oliver reminds them that they are good people and something has happen to them. Dr. Oliver instructs them to defend themselves, but to not harm the Ninja Rangers. At Lothor's lair, Tori, Shane, and Dustin are gloating with Lothor over their victory. Elsa appears and invites Lothor to join forces with Mesogog.
