Devin Del Valle - Tom Hern

Devin is the camera man for Reefside High School's TV station.  He works closely with Cassidy Cornell.  Devin listened as Cassidy lamented on her frustrations on trying to get a hold of Dr. Oliver's school records from Angel Grove High School.  He found himself being yanked aside a car.  Cassidy was suspicious of the three students, Conner McKnight, Ethan James, and Kira Ford, talking together.  Devin agreed with her - students talking, very suspicious.  Kira walked away from the group and was taken by strange creatures.  Cassidy excitedly told Devin to get out his camera.  Devin stumbled to get his camera ready, but when he did he was really pleased with his shot.  He had gotten a nice shot of the sky.

The following day, Devin raced into the science class with exciting news.  Cassidy pointed out that the sky had turned black, something that had escaped Devin's attention.  Devin told Cassidy about mechanical dinosaurs in the city.  They got ready to leave class, but Dr. Oliver stopped them.  Principal Randall's voice came over the loudspeaker to announce there was an early dismissal.  Devin and Cassidy used this distraction to sneak out of the class.

Devin continued to follow Cassidy's lead on following stories.  Devin and Cassidy went to the mall to interview pop star, Kylee Styles.  Once that story was done, Devin and Cassidy spotted another one.  The Rangers were battling a monster and Cassidy wanted an interview.  Devin began shooting the footage.  The monster stole Devin's and Cassidy's youth.  Cassidy decided to take advantage of the senior citizen discounts at various places.  Devin followed along, although his hip hurt.  When the monster was destroyed, Devin's and Cassidy's youth was restored.  Later, at Hayley's Cyberspace, Devin was the first to cheer after the singing performance of Kira and Kylee.

Devin was helping Cassidy as she prepared for her role as Guinevere.  He wanted to know why she wanted to go to Hayley's Cyberspace, but she explained that she would be able to find people to worship her.  Devin agreed and they went to Cyberspace.  They found the place was closed, but could see Ethan inside.  Devin and Cassidy used the back door, but Ethan was gone.  They were sucked into the computer game - Wizard Wood.  Devin thought the whole experience was interesting, but Cassidy did not enjoy it as much.  They were later transported back to reality.  Cassidy was upset over the fact that she smelled.  Devin tried to comfort her, but it was difficult as she did smell pretty bad.

Devin was at Hayley's Cyberspace with Cassidy.  They were working on their government project.  Cassidy began snapping her fingers impatiently for her latte.  Devin knew that waiters didn't like the whole finger snapping thing.  His brother is a waiter.  He tried to tell Cassidy, but she wouldn't listen.  Trent came over with her order, but had forgotten Devin's.  Devin stopped Trent and make a lot of motions and Trent realized that he had forgotten Trent's smoothie.  Devin was cool about the whole thing.  He did receive a start when the laptop Cassidy was working on began to scream.  Devin didn't know what to do and Cassidy was totally freaked out.  Devin grew tired of waiting for his smoothie and decided to make his own.  Trent stopped by and Devin told him he hoped he didn't mind that he make his own.  Unfortunately, Devin forgot to put the top on the blender and the smoothie ended up all over him.  The following day, Devin and Cassidy overheard Dr. Oliver, Ethan, and Trent talk about going to city hall.  The talk stirred Devin up and he was ready to fight for the people.  Until Cassidy brought him back about their government in action project.  They arrived at city hall and spotted councilwoman Sanchez.  Zeltrax and his son, Golden Rod, were there as well.  Devin and Cassidy ended by being blasted by them and they flew through the air and landed hard on the ground.  Devin and Cassidy decided it was time for them to leave.

Devin and his science class were getting ready to go on a field trip.  He walked up behind Cassidy and overheard her talking to Dr. Oliver.  Cassidy was asking Dr. Oliver if they could film the field trip, as it would be exciting material for her.  Devin was confused and told her that he thought she had said Dr. Oliver's classes were more boring than dirt.  Cassidy immediately told him that was about their last conversation.  At the site, Devin set himself up in front of a flower.  He wanted to do a time lapse of the flower and was gently encouraging the flower to blossom.  Cassidy was telling him that she thought Principal Randall had a thing for Dr. Oliver and she believed love was in the air.  Devin took a quick look, but wasn't convinced.  He didn't think Principal Randall was capable of such an emotion.  Devin concentrated his efforts on his flower.  Cassidy exasperated with him, plunk the flower and shredded it.  Devin stared at his mutilated flower.  The site was attacked by Tyrannodrones.  Devin was getting ready to pack up his gear and leave, but Cassidy stopped him.  Devin ended up filming the attack with Cassidy's direction.  The following day at school, Devin was behind the controls of their school television program.  Cassidy was televising about Principal Randall's heroic fighting at the dig site.  Unfortunately, Devin put in the wrong tape and no footage was shown of Principal Randall.  Devin endured Cassidy's glare with good grace.

Devin was back at Hayley's Cyberspace with Cassidy.  Cassidy wanted a big, fresh story.  Devin thought he had just the thing - a story about a woman who had grown a large pumpkin.  Cassidy was not impressed.  Suddenly, Cassidy's mouth dropped open and she gasped that the Nikki Valentina - star of Ocean Alert - had walked into Cyberspace.  Devin didn't believe her, like some big star was going to just walk in.  But he was stunned when he turned around and there was Nikki.  Later, Devin was helping Cassidy on a project.  Cassidy wanted to prove that she was just as good as Nikki and decided to film her own version of Ocean Alert.  Devin was doing his part by drowning in the ocean for her.  He got behind the camera as well to film Cassidy saving someone.  Devin was stunned when Nikki ran in front of his camera.  He noticed that a monster was there and getting ready to blast Nikki with his flower power.  Devin began to run after Nikki and grabbed her out of the way.  They landed in a heap together.  Nikki was very impressed with Devin and thought he should be an action hero.  Devin rather like the idea as well.  He helped Nikki to her feet.  Devin thought it must be great to know that millions of fans love you.  Not for Nikki - she didn't care about the fans.  Nikki wanted to marry a rock star and have more houses than J. Lo.  Nikki walked away and Devin, with a grin, followed her.  Nikki gave Devin a spot on her show.  He laid on the beach waiting to be "rescue" by Nikki.  Devin could hear Cassidy being escorted away from the set.  He couldn't help grinning.

Devin followed Cassidy to a network news cast building.  Cassidy felt they were ready for the network.  Devin wasn't so sure.  He felt that they needed some experience.  But Cassidy was determined and Devin followed her inside.  They managed to get a meeting with Mr. Cornier - head of the place.  Mr. Cornier was not impressed - they needed work experience.  Devin told Cassidy he was right and receive a sharp poke from Cassidy.  Mr. Cornier told Cassidy that she should listen to her friend, he might say much but appeared smart.  Devin like the compliment until he receive another poke from Cassidy.  Cassidy wasn't about to give up and convince Mr. Cornier that they could find the identity of a Power Ranger.  Mr. Cornier promised them the six o'clock spot if they could.  Devin thanked Mr. Cornier as they walked out.  Cassidy was ecstatic, but Devin tried to bring her to her senses.  He tried to reason with her - but Cassidy sputtered for Devin to look.  Behind him was a White Ranger stumbling, Devin was surprised - he didn't know they came in white.  Devin and Cassidy went after the White Ranger, but all they found was a dazed Trent.  Cassidy pounded Trent with questions, but Devin kept looking.  Trent had no answers for Cassidy.  Cassidy sped off, while Devin apologized and then took off after Cassidy.

Devin was at Hayley's Cyberspace when Cassidy walked in.  Cassidy grabbed him and excitedly told him that she had footage of the White Ranger.  Devin found this hard to believe - he thought no one had footage of the White Ranger.  Cassidy told him that she got the footage from a very reliable source at the film department at the grammar school.  Devin asked Cassidy if she had seen the footage.  Cassidy replied no and pop the footage in.  The footage was of a young boy in a White Ranger costume.  Cassidy was outrage, but Devin wasn't surprise.  He knew there was no film department in the grammar school.  Cassidy was ready to tackle the kid and make him wish he had never met her.  Devin replied that he bet he already, but Cassidy warned him not to finish the sentence.  They barreled their way out the doors, and unable to resist, Devin finished his earlier sentence and told Cassidy he bet the kid already did.  Devin and Cassidy went searching for the kid.  Devin was a little bother about harassing a kid, but Cassidy wanted to teach him a lesson.  Devin and Cassidy located the kids and the kids took off running.  The kids were trapped in an alleyway.  Cassidy demanded her money back, but the kid had already spent it.  The kid promised Cassidy that if she let them go, he would return at 6:00 with footage of the White Ranger.  The kid then went into a long speech and Cassidy decided to give him another chance.  Devin had been rather touched by the speech.  At 6:00, Devin and Cassidy returned to the alleyway.  Devin and Cassidy were ambushed by the kids with garbage.  As usual, Devin made light of the situation and took the garbage slinging in good humor.

Powerful winds swept through the city.  More debris clung to Devin and Cassidy.  People throughout the city were panicking.  In the alleyway, Devin wanted to go one way, Cassidy another way.  They were separated by the crowds pushing through.  Devin walked along and to his surprise, he saw the White Ranger.  Devin quickly got out his camera and at the same time imploring the White Ranger to stay.  As Devin stood up, he hit his head on the pipe behind him and fell to the ground.  Devin was unconscious for some time.  When he awoke he managed to find his way to Hayley's Cyberspace.  Devin was surprised to see Cassidy was there and that she was okay.  Devin couldn't remember what had happened to him earlier.  Cassidy was still distraught over having no footage of the White Ranger.  Devin went home to shower and change.  His memory came back of his time in the alleyway and the White Ranger.  Devin didn't bother matching his shirt to his pants, as he raced to get to Cyberspace.  He found Cassidy, but Cassidy was busy with her homework.  Until Devin mention the White Ranger, then Cassidy was interested in what Devin had to say.  Devin told Cassidy that he was in an alleyway and the White Ranger was there as well.  He got his camera out to record him.  Cassidy wanted to know who the White Ranger was.  Devin didn't know as he knocked his head and was out during that time, but the camera should have recorded it.  Unfortunately, in Devin's hurry to tell Cassidy the news he had forgotten his camera at home.  Cassidy was furious and Devin made a quick getaway to get his camera.

Devin raced into Hayley's Cyberspace.  He spotted Cassidy and rushed towards the stage.  He told Cassidy there might be a problem.  Cassidy stated that there would only be a problem if he didn't have his camera.  Devin explained that he loaned his camera to his sister.  His sister had been in a big hurry and he is a pushover.  Cassidy couldn't believe that he didn't look at the footage before giving the camera to his sister.  Cassidy wanted the camera back. Devin listened as Cassidy told him she didn't care if he had to pry it from her fingers.  Devin thought that might be a bit difficult, but he left anyways.  Later, Devin returned with the camera.  Cassidy excitedly took the camera.  Devin wanted to make sure it was rewind and took the camera back.  He went on stage with Cassidy and began to look at the footage.  Devin knew Cassidy wasn't going to like this.  Devin's sister had taped over the footage of the White Ranger with footage of her giving birth.  Cassidy told Devin he was fired.  Devin wasn't too fazed, he tried to get Cassidy to watch the beauty of childbirth.  A quick glance was all Cassidy needed as she fainted.

Devin was tracking through the forest with Cassidy.  Cassidy had done some research and she believed that evil anti-heroes almost always lived in a cave or a secluded area outside the city.  Cassidy felt confident that they would find the White Ranger in the forest and get an exclusive interview.  Devin felt sure that they would get an exclusive interview and be eaten for lunch.  They continue walking, Cassidy complaining about her high heels, which Devin had forewarned her about.  They stopped when Cassidy thought she heard a noise.  Devin listened intently.  Cassidy called out for the White Ranger to show himself, but it turned out to be Trent.  Devin pointed this out to Cassidy.  Trent joked with them that they thought he was the White Ranger.  Cassidy tried to explained, but suddenly Trent yelled at them to get down.  Devin and Cassidy were knocked to the ground by an object hurtling through the air.  The object crashed into the grounds, not far from where they had been standing.  Devin and Cassidy got up and brushed themselves off.  Cassidy was very excited to see what the object was.  Trent warned them that it might be dangerous.  Cassidy told Trent that danger was her middle name.  Which confused Devin who had thought Agnes was her middle name.  Devin tried to approach the object carefully, but Cassidy pushed him forward.  Cassidy asked him what he thought the glowing rock was.  Devin didn't know, but it was showing up very clearly on his camera.  Kira, Conner, Ethan appeared and didn't seem to happy to see Trent there.  Trent had followed Devin and Cassidy to the rock.  Devin exchanged an confused look with Cassidy over the exchange between Trent and Conner and Ethan.  Tyrannodrones and Rojobot suddenly appeared.  Devin and Cassidy quickly found a hiding place.  Devin asked Cassidy if he should film what was going on.  Cassidy replied that hideous mutants were hardly news in this town and they left.  Unaware that as they left they were hit with the purplish vapors emitting from the rock.  The following day, Devin felt a sure of confidence.  He styled his hair different and wore tight, fitting white pants, a shirt with hearts and a leather jacket.  Devin strolled through the area liked he own the place.  Cassidy found him and nervously asked him if he would like a soda.  Devin needed to find the White Ranger, but a soda wouldn't hurt.  He put his arm around Cassidy, and they strolled off to Hayley's Cyberspace.  A huge crowd followed them there.  Once inside, Devin instructed his fans to clear his table.  He got the juke box ready.  Cassidy asked him when he was going to find the White Ranger and Devin replied that when he finished dancing.  Devin got up on stage and began to dance.  His admiring crowd watching every step.  Later, Devin got off the stage and twirled around with Cassidy until she stumble.  Devin gently got her to a couch and asked if she was okay.  Cassidy told Devin that they had known each other for a long time, and it was obvious there was something between them.  Devin agreed.  Cassidy leaned in for a kiss and Devin leaned in as well.  Just before the kiss, a purple surge hit them.  Cassidy screamed at Devin - demanding to know what he was doing.  Devin quickly jumped away and starting feeling his head.  Cassidy continued to shriek while Devin made a quick getaway.

Devin was sitting in science class, letting Conner and Ethan use his camera bag as a basketball hoop for the paper balls they were tossing.  The room was buzzing was who was going to be their substitute teacher.  Cassidy told them that she had heard from a very reliable source that it was an eighty-year old woman who had formerly taught kindergarten.  Principal Randall walked in and Devin quickly put his camera bag away.  Principal Randall announced that Dr. Anton Mercer had graciously accepted the position of teaching the class.  Devin heard Kira whisper to Cassidy that the teacher looked pretty good for an eighty-year.  Devin busted up laughing.  Cassidy didn't appreciate it, but Devin thought it was funny.  Dr. Mercer passed out permission forms to the class for a field trip the following day to a dinosaur museum.  The next day, Devin accompanied his science class to the museum field trip.

Devin and Cassidy spotted Ethan outside the school building with a monster.  They hurried outside, along with several students to watch.  Devin and Cassidy hid in the bushes for awhile.  The Yellow Power Ranger appeared, and Cassidy thought it was a good time for an interview.  Devin and Cassidy try several times to talk with the Yellow Power Ranger and then with the Blue Power Ranger.  Devin kept his camera rolling, but they were constantly push to the side as the Rangers dealt with Termitetron.  In the end, Devin and Cassidy were unable to get any interviews with the two Rangers.

Devin was at Hayley's Cyberspace with Cassidy.  They had overheard the conversation Kira had with Conner and Ethan.  Kira had been granted an internship with Channel 3.  Cassidy was upset, she should have receive the internship.  Cassidy called the internship stupid before leaving.  Devin had remained fairly quiet throughout the conversation.  Devin had also been granted an internship at Channel 3, but he didn't want Cassidy to know.  He arrived at his job on the set of "The Funky Fisherman Show" and wasn't too thrilled to be assigned the task of monitoring the security cameras.  Some of the sights hadn't been pretty.  Devin was carrying an armload of tapes, when he and Kira bumped into each other.  Kira apologized and they both went down to the floor to gather the tapes.  Kira realize that Devin had been given the other internship.  Devin asked Kira to please not say anything to Cassidy about it.  Kira wasn't too happy with her job and neither was Devin.  They had just gathered all the tapes up and stood up, when they were knocked down again.  Marty the Mackerel had accidentally bumped into them, while practicing his happy dance.  Marty the Mackerel was a nice person who hoped the two new interns were enjoying their jobs.  Neither one were, but Marty told them to never give up.  Devin and Kira collected the tapes again and then went their separate ways.  Later, Devin was working on the security cameras on the set, while Kira worked on the buffet table.  Devin was rather startled when Elsa and several Tyrannodrones appeared.  Several of the Tyrannodrones tried to climb up where Devin was and he ended up falling to the ground.  Devin fought a few of the Tyrannodrones before deciding now was the time to check with security as to whether Elsa had checked in.  He left Kira alone with Elsa.  With the two main stars missing, Marty the Mackerel and Funky Fisherman, Devin was no longer needed.  The director told him that as soon as the stars return, he would be given his job back.  Devin was bummed, he was just starting to enjoy his menial job.  Devin was sitting in the city when Cassidy found him.  Cassidy was her usual catty self, proclaiming that Devin looked more awful than usual.  Devin let slip about his internship, and Cassidy was upset.  Devin stopped her before she got started.  He told her that the internship had not been all that he had thought and told her about what he had been doing.  Cassidy realized that she hadn't been missing much.  Devin continued telling her about how the Yellow Ranger had shown up and Cassidy became more alerted.  Cassidy wanted the tapes of the Yellow Ranger and pulled Devin to his feet.  Before they got very far, they were captured by Mad Mackerel who turned them into fish bait.  After the Rangers defeated Mad Mackerel, Devin and Cassidy were returned to normal.  Devin was called back to his show with the return of the two stars.  He had another armload of tapes as he made his way to Kira, Ethan, and Conner.  The set was a much more pleasant place due to Funky Fisherman's more upbeat personality.  Devin had decided to stick with the job, as did Kira.  He told them that Cassidy had forgiven, especially since he had surveillance tapes of the Yellow Ranger.  Devin was bumped from behind by Marty the Mackerel doing the happy dance.  Before he could prevent, the tapes went into the fruit punch.  Devin couldn't believe it.  He took the tapes out and exclaim to his friends that he didn't understand why these things always happen to him.  Devin left with the drenched tapes.

Devin and Cassidy walked into Hayley's Cyberspace together.  Cassidy was going over her schedule and Devin was trying to keep up.  They sat at a table together and Devin didn't see how Cassidy was going to get everything done.  Devin suggested that Cassidy have clones, to which Cassidy replied like there could be another Cassidy Cornell.  Devin returned to Cyberspace and was surprised to see Cassidy sitting there.  He reminded her that she was supposed to be covering the student council meeting.  Cassidy told him she had it under control and asked him if he would get her organizer.  Devin told her he would and walked out.  He was really surprised when Cassidy walked into Cyberspace as he was walking out.  Devin told her he thought she wanted him to get her organizer, to which she already had.  Cassidy ask him if he could get the country music mix from his scooter.  A little confused, Devin said he would.  He continued walking out and was really confused when he saw Cassidy sitting on his scooter.  He approached her cautiously and asked her if she was listening to the country music mix - which Cassidy was.  Cassidy mentioned that she was parched and left for Cyberspace.  Devin stood for a moment very confused.  He thought it was because he wasn't wearing his glasses like his mom is always telling him too.  Devin didn't want to look like a dork, but it might be worth it not to see so many Cassidys.  Cassidy was waving to him from the background, but Devin ignored her and walked off.  Devin got his glasses and hoped that would solve the problem.  He walked out of Cyberspace and was surrounded by four Cassidys.  He thought he needed a stronger prescription.  The Cassidys began to berate him and Devin had had enough.  He told the Cassidys that one Cassidy was more than enough work, but several was too many.  The Cassidys didn't appreciate that comment.  Devin walked off.  Three of the Cassidys vanished (clones made by Copyotter, when the Rangers destroyed Copyotter the clones disappeared).  Cassidy followed Devin and asked him if he needed a hug.  Devin told Cassidy to forget about it and tossed his glasses in the trash.

Devin and Cassidy were at Hayley's Cyberspace.  Cassidy wanted to interview the new exchange student, Alexi Poporof.  Devin started rolling his camera as Cassidy tried to interview Alexi.  Cassidy asked Alexi if he thought he could bring Reefside to the Super Bowl.  Devin corrected her by telling her in soccer it is called the World Cup.  Not that Cassidy care much.  Alexi simply walked away from the interview.

Devin helped shot Kira's new music video.

Devin went with Cassidy for her first reporter assignment - a report at Willie's Wooly Sheep Farm and Petting Zoo.  Devin stood on a ladder as he filmed Cassidy.  He was getting some great shot.  Devin continued to film after Cassidy fell into the mud.  He stopped when Cassidy angrily told him to stop.  They walked back to the television station together.  Cassidy was telling Devin that she had had it with reporting - there was never any thing to report about.  Devin noticed the large creature - Jupitor - and pointed him out to Cassidy.  Quickly Devin started shooting again as Cassidy reported on her big story.  Hidden, they also shot footage of the Rangers battling.  Devin felt that they had gotten some great stuff.  They went inside the station.  Devin got some water bottles and went into the studio where Cassidy was preparing for her first broadcast.  He checked to make sure she was okay before standing behind the cameras with Kira, Ethan, and Conner.  Devin mouthed the words as Cassidy spoke them.  When she was done, Devin went up to her and she immediately told him that she had been nervous.  Devin told her that she had done a great job.  Cassidy thought that next time they should do a more darker/mysterious story.

Devin, Cassidy, Kira, Conner, Ethan, Trent, and the rest of their class were given a tour through an Egyptian exhibit.  Mrs. Porter explained that some of the artifacts were over 4,000 years.  Devin took a closer look at a few, and salute the guard as he passed.  After school, Devin and Cassidy walked together.  They were stopped by Tutenhawken.  Tutenhawken declared that he had never seen such beauty.  Devin thanked him and told him he had been using a new moisturizer.  Tutenhawken wasn't talking about Devin, he was talking about Cassidy.  Tutenhawken began to tell Cassidy about all the riches he would bestow on her.  Devin wasn't sure about this, but Cassidy decided to become Tutenhawken's Queen.  Devin went along with Cassidy and they both changed their appearance to reflect Egyptian times.  Devin carried a huge fan and used it constantly to fan Cassidy as she walked.   They entered Hayley's Cyberspace and Devin quickly cleaned a chair for Cassidy.  Ethan had come over to talk to Cassidy and after awhile, Devin shooed him away.  After Cyberspace, they returned to Tutenhawken.  Devin gathered some more fans and began fanning Cassidy and Tutenhawken as they sat on thrones.  Devin knelt down and began polishing Tutenhawken's shoes.  Tutenhawken became irate with him, and kicked Devin to the ground.  Devin quickly covered himself up.  He got up and began working on Tutenhawken's shoes again.  Cassidy became angry over Tutenhawken's treatment of Devin.  Cassidy yanked Devin to his feet and told him they were leaving.  Devin grinned as Cassidy lead him away.  Later, Devin run some errands for Cassidy.  He entered Cyberspace and found Cassidy.  Devin handed Cassidy her books and told her that he had drop off her videos and picked up her dry cleaning.  Then with a big grin on his face, Devin offered to get her a latte.

Devin walked up to Cassidy and Ethan just outside of school.  It was obvious that the two wanted a private conversation, so Devin told Cassidy where he would be waiting.  Soon Cassidy joined Devin and they walked together.  Devin accidentally bumped into Cassidy, causing her to drop her books.  Devin began to berate himself, telling Cassidy he was all thumbs.  Cassidy told Devin she didn't want to hear him talk like that.  Devin gathered the books and told Cassidy thanks.  He also told her that hanging out with Ethan had made her more nice.  With grin in tact, Devin walked into the school building.  In science class, Devin listened to Dr. Mercer's lecture.  Abruptly, Dr. Mercer stopped talking and turned his back to the class. When Dr. Mercer turned around he asked the class to excuse him for a moment.  Devin didn't think anything of it.  He tapped Cassidy and then placed pencils on either side of his head. 

Devin entered Mr. Cormier's office with Cassidy.  Mr. Cormier's favorite reporter was out and he wanted Cassidy to get him some Power Ranger coverage.  Cassidy was surprised and Devin told her to not act so surprise or Mr. Cormier might change his mind.  Mr. Cormier referred to Devin as "Donald" despite Cassidy correcting him.  Mr. Cormier sent the two on their way.  Devin and Cassidy arrived in the city and found among the rumble, Conner, Kira, Ethan, and Trent.  They were both surprised to see them look a mess.  Cassidy asked them what had happened.  Kira told them that there had been a giant mutant attack.  Cassidy questioned them about the Power Rangers and they were both surprised to hear that the Power Rangers didn't show up.  Devin told them that he thought it was strange, the Power Rangers always show up to help someone.  Devin and Cassidy returned to Mr. Cormier's office.  Cassidy thought Mr. Cormier would be upset because they didn't get any Ranger coverage.  Mr. Cormier was elated and wanted the news report to reflect that the Power Rangers had abandoned Reefside.  Devin tried to tell Mr. Cormier that they didn't know for sure that the Rangers had abandoned Reefside.  Mr. Cormier silenced "Donald" and gave Cassidy instructions to have the report ready for the six o'clock news.  Cassidy was excited to do the report, but Devin told her that they should do the report.  Devin reminded Cassidy that they didn't have all the facts and it felt wrong.  Cassidy didn't care, she was more interested in the six o'clock spot.  Devin told Cassidy that if she went ahead with the story, she would have to do it without him and walked out.  Devin watched from the sidelines as Cassidy gave her report on the Rangers.  Devin couldn't keep the disapproval from showing on his face as he watched Cassidy.  Cassidy glanced at him several times.  Cassidy, at the last minute, changed the report to reflect her belief that the Power Rangers would return.  Devin's grin returned and he was proud of his friend.

Devin walked along with Cassidy on the school grounds.  Cassidy was excited over the story brewing in their backyard.  The students were holding a protest to save a tree from being cut down.  Devin thought it was a good cause, but Cassidy could care less.  Devin walked off towards the tree and asked two guys to tie him to the tree.  Devin told them it was a symbol of his bound with nature.  Later, everyone was sent home by Principal Randall.  Devin called out for help, as he couldn't free himself, but no one heard him.  Devin ended up falling asleep.  Eventually he was awaken by a sound and turned sideways to take a look.  He was stunned to see Zeltrax.  Zeltrax had some equipment and was draining the sap from the tree.  Zeltrax noticed Devin and told him to tell the Power Rangers that Zeltrax was back.  Devin tried to explain that he didn't know were the Power Rangers, although him and friend had been looking forever.  Zeltrax caught him off and fearfully Devin asked him how to spell his name.  Devin quickly freed himself and hid behind some scrubs.  Devin watched as Elsa appeared and taunted Zeltrax.  Devin watched as Elsa and Zeltrax battled with Zeltrax becoming the victor.  Zeltrax commanded Deadwood Monster from the tree.  Zeltrax and the tree vanished.  Devin quickly left and found Cassidy at Hayley's Cyberspace.  He grabbed and started asking her where the Power Rangers were, that he needed to talk to them.  Cassidy didn't know where the Power Rangers were, a fact that Devin knew, and asked him what was going on.  Devin told Cassidy how the freak Zeltrax had attacked him.  Cassidy didn't seem too concerned and started heading out.  Devin followed her telling her it got worse, that Zeltrax had taken the tree.

Devin was trying to stay awake in science class.  Dr. Oliver was giving a lecture on volcanoes.  At the end of class, Dr. Oliver made two announcements.  One that Ethan James would be competing at Detonation Man video games at Hayley's Cyberspace.  Devin clapped along with everyone else.  The second announcement was that there would be a sub tomorrow who was an expert on volcanoes.  The class was dismissed and Devin hurried out of the class.  He got to his locker quickly and was getting ready to leave when Cassidy stopped him.  Cassidy was telling him that they had a lot to do today and had he seen the to do list.  Devin told Cassidy that he wouldn't be able to do the to do list.  Cassidy didn't believe it, she told him that they do everything together, that they were Cassidy and Devin.  Cassidy had him repeat the words.  Devin did and grin, but he wasn't going to be swayed.  He told Cassidy that she would have to do the to do list on her own and he had faith in her before he took off.  The following day, Devin sat in his science class listening to the sub, Dr. Morton.  Devin made sure his back was towards Cassidy when she walked in twenty minutes late.  Cassidy was not having an easy time being on her own and she made sure Devin heard each word.  Devin flinched a couple of times, but he stay firm.  After school, he walked into Cyberspace where several students were competing in the video game competition.  Devin stopped to talk to Kira and Conner.  Conner assumed that Devin was there to cover the competition as a story.  Conner asked where Cassidy was and Devin told him he didn't know.  Devin then took off.  After a delay, the video game competition finals were held.  Trent announced Ethan James as the returning champion.  Ethan received warm applause from the crowd.  Trent then announced Devin Del Valle as the contender.  There was only a smattering of applause for Devin, but Devin didn't care.  He wave to the crowd and then mentally prepared himself for the challenge ahead.  The competition began and Devin stayed focus, even when Ethan had thought he had won the game.  Trent pointed out that Devin was still playing.  Devin won the game and was surprise at the crowd's response to his winning.  Trent shook his hand and Devin took hold of his trophy.  Ethan had walked off in a daze.  Devin was surrounded by an admiring crowd when Cassidy walked in steam.  Cassidy yelled at Devin that he had ruined her life over a video game.  Because of the crowd, Cassidy couldn't reach Devin.  Devin initially tried to explain to Cassidy about the competition, but he soon gave in to the fans' demands for his autograph.

Devin followed Cassidy into Dr. Mercer's greenhouse.  He had his camera ready as Cassidy begun her interview with Dr. Mercer.  Dr. Mercer had recently won the Greenleaf award and Cassidy began firing the questions.  Dr. Mercer explained the award would be if he could get plants to survive in any climate.  Devin immediately realized the possibilities this would bring and told Dr. Mercer that would mean that people anywhere could grow their own crops.  Dr. Mercer acknowledge Devin's comments before walking into a different area of the greenhouse.  Devin shot footage of the various plans as Cassidy continued the interview.  Devin noticed that Dr. Mercer had turned away and he didn't look so good.  Devin asked Dr. Mercer if he was okay and questioned whether he had had the mystery meat at the cafeteria.  Trent ended the interview and told Cassidy that she would have to finish the interview later.  Devin, Cassidy, and Trent left the greenhouse.

Devin and Cassidy were at the Reefside Motocross Nationals.  As he walked along with Cassidy he asked her why they were here, not that he was complaining.  Cassidy explained how Mr. Cormier wanted edgier stories and mototoss was as edgier as it got.  Devin quickly corrected Cassidy by telling her that it was motocross.  Not the Cassidy cared - she was after an interview with Blake Bradley.  They approached the man in charge and Cassidy was confident she could get in with her press pass.  Devin showed his pass as well.  But their names were not on the list and they couldn't go in without paying.

The following day, Devin and Cassidy were back at the Motocross Nationals.  Devin was silent as Cassidy went over the various passes she had.  Cassidy confirmed that she was all set for the interview with Blake Bradley.  As Devin and Cassidy continued to walk along, they both noticed a young woman who looked a lot like Cassidy.  Cassidy asked Devin if he had seen the stunning young woman.  Cassidy continued that she was much prettier.  Throughout this exchange Devin remained silent.

Devin, dressed as a superhero, followed Cassidy into Hayley's Cyberspace.  He asked Cassidy why they were dressed as super heroes.  Cassidy told Devin that it was an undercover assignment to report on the comic book fandom.  Cassidy pointed out to the crowd, that was dressed as various comic book characters.  Devin told Cassidy that he hoped the assignment didn't last to long as his tights were cutting off his circulation.  Cassidy was surprised to see Principal Randall at the front of the line talking to Carson Brady - a cartoon artist.  Cassidy wanted to know when Principal Randall became a comic book fan.  Devin, very dramatically, suggested that Principal Randall was a villain in disguise.  Cassidy immediately dismiss this idea and told Devin that he read too many comic books.  Another day, Devin followed Cassidy into Cyberspace.  He was very tired of wearing the super hero costume.  Cassidy rather enjoyed it and came up with the name Fantasa Girl.  A young man burst into Cyberspace and told everyone that his bike had been stolen.  Devin decided it was time for some real super hero action.  He announced that this was a job for Fantasa Girl and Devin.  Devin dragged a reluctant Cassidy outside to solve the case.

Devin was sitting outside school grounds playing the card game "Dragon War" with Ethan.  They were both enjoying themselves as they tried to outwit the other one.  Kira and Cassidy were sitting close by and could overhear their conversation.  Neither one thought much of "Dragon War".  Devin tried to explain the intelligence required to play the game, but neither one believed him.  Principal Randall walked up and told them that sometimes her job was too easy.  Devin closed his eyes for a moment.  Ethan tried to charm Principal Randall and the appealed to her sense of compassion - which Principal Randall told them she had none.  Devin tried to help Ethan out.  He told Principal Randall that Ethan had just gotten the very rare and powerful Ruby Dragon card.  Mockingly, Principal Randall told them to keep their cards.  They all laughed and then Principal Randall demanded that they hand over the cards.  Devin and Ethan reluctantly gave her their cards.  Later, in science class, Devin listened to Dr. Oliver's lecture.  Dr. Oliver had just asked a question and no one answered.  Dr. Oliver then called on Ethan and got no response.  Dr. Oliver asked someone to tell him what was going on.  Kira told Dr. Oliver that Ethan was bummed because Principal Randall had taken their "Dragon War" cards.  Dr. Oliver had to backed up Principal Randall as it was against the rules to play card games at school.  Devin told Dr. Oliver that Principal Randall had taken the rare Ruby Dragon card.  Dr. Oliver told them he would see what he could do, if they would start to pay attention in his class.  After school, Devin walked out with Cassidy.  They both stopped in their tracks when they saw Dr. Oliver and Principal Randall fighting on the school grounds.  Devin told Cassidy that his mom was never going to believe this.  Cassidy told him to start filming.  Devin started setting up his camera when Principal Randall transform into Elsa.  Devin whimpered and took off running.

Devin walked into Hayley's Cyberspace and spotted Conner, Kira, and Ethan sitting at a table together.  Devin walked up to their table and asked Conner if he could speak to him privately.  Conner said sure and got up and walked away with Devin.  Devin told him that he needed some advice on a female related problem.  Devin told Conner that the prom was coming up.  Conner assumed that Devin needed a date for the prom, and immediately told him that he would check his book.  Devin already had someone in mind and he almost let it slip to Conner, who he wanted to ask.  Devin told Conner that what he needed advice on was how to ask the girl to the prom.  Conner told Devin what he does.  Later, Devin returned to Cyberspace.  He had a more formal jacket on, flowers, and a box of chocolates.  Devin walked up to the table Cassidy was sitting at and Cassidy told him hi.  Devin told Cassidy that he had something to ask her.  Cassidy told Devin that she needed to talk to him and wanted to go first.  Although Devin was anxious to ask the question, Cassidy override him by telling him that she just got back from Mr. Cormier's office.  Mr. Cormier had told Cassidy that she needed to find the identity of the Power Rangers.  Devin told her that was old news.  Cassidy replied that if they don't find out the identity of the Power Rangers by the end of the week, they were fired.  Devin was stunned, he couldn't believe that they would be fired.  Cassidy continued by telling Devin that all other activities had to be put on hold until they discovered the identity of the Power Rangers.  Devin asked Cassidy if that included the prom and Cassidy replied that it most definitely included the prom.  Devin looked thoughtful and Cassidy asked him what he wanted to ask.  Devin told her it wasn't important, opened the heart shaped box of chocolates and offered her one.  Later, Devin was dressed as an alien and at the line that was waiting for the movie "Asteroid Conquest".  He saw Ethan head his way and overheard Ethan talking to Dr. O about spotting Zeltrax at the steel plant.  Ethan took off.  Devin stepped out and removed his mask - he had stumbled upon something.  Devin cautiously made his way to the steel plant.  He remained hidden and watched as Conner, Kira, Ethan, Trent, and Dr. O battled Zeltrax.  Devin got his camera ready and started to film.  Much to his astonishment, Devin got his friends morphing into Power Rangers.  Devin continued to film the Rangers battling Zeltrax secretly.  Devin couldn't believe what he had captured on his camera.  He wasn't sure what he had, but he knew it was something special.

Devin had contacted Cassidy and asked her if she would met him at Hayley's Cyberspace.  Devin sat at a table and waited for her, the tape in his hand.  Cassidy walked in and Devin couldn't help but grin, Cassidy's hair was mess.  Cassidy told Devin that his hair would look a mess too, if he had spent the entire day thinking about the Power Rangers and pulling out his hair.  Devin told Cassidy that she didn't have to worry about losing another lock of hair.  Devin told her that the tape he had would resolve all her problems, but before he showed it to her, he had something important to ask her.  Devin asked Cassidy to the prom, and she accepted.  Devin then showed Cassidy the tape that revealed that the Power Rangers were Kira, Conner, Ethan, Dr. O, and Trent.  Devin took Cassidy to the steel plant where he had filmed the Rangers earlier.  As luck would have it, the Rangers were back again at the steel plant.  Devin and Cassidy hid themselves and Devin began shooting.  Dr. O had asked Elsa to step aside and Elsa discovered Devin and Cassidy's hiding place.  Devin's latest film captured Conner, Ethan, Dr. O, Trent, and Kira morphing into Power Rangers.  It also captured Mesogog mutating into Mesomonster and the battle that followed.  Cassidy directed Devin to shot different scenes.  Eventually the Rangers destroyed the several Mesomonsters and powered down.  Cassidy could contain herself no longer and step out of her hiding place.  Devin and Elsa followed her.  Cassidy called Ethan, Dr. O, Trent, Kira, and Conner Rangers and they realized that she knew their secret.  Devin told them that he had already knew, but he just had to show Cassidy.  Cassidy held the tape in her hand and told them that this was the stuff that could make a reporter's career. Devin was surprised when Cassidy gave Devin a hug.  Dr. O asked Cassidy if she knew what that tape would do to their lives.  Cassidy replied that she did and that was why she was giving it to them and handed the tape to Dr. O.  Kira couldn't believe it and asked Cassidy why she was giving up a scoop of a lifetime.  Cassidy replied that they were her friends and she couldn't ruin their lives to make hers better, after all they had done for her.  Ethan told Cassidy he always knew that there was a heart deep down there.  Cassidy replied that she just needed someone to show her and turn a grateful smile towards Devin.  Devin told them that they would have to excuse them as they had to get to the prom.  Devin and Cassidy walked away, arm in arm.  Devin and Cassidy arrived at the Reefside Senior Prom in a white stretch limo.  Devin and Cassidy walked into the prom and was greeted by Hayley, who told them that they looked nice.  Cassidy, on behalf of the prom committee, thanked Hayley for her work.  Devin commented on the kinder, gentler, Cassidy.  Hayley replied so she heard and told Cassidy that she had heard what she had done for the Rangers and it took a lot of courage.  Cassidy told Hayley a good reporter knows when to talk and when to keep a secret.  Devin and Cassidy enjoyed the prom.  Dr. O got on stage and gave a small speech, he then introduced the band - Kira Ford.  Devin and Cassidy danced to the music with Cassidy throwing her arms around Devin.  Devin and Cassidy cheered for Kira along with the rest of the crowd.
