SEYMOUR

Seymour - Voiced by R. Martin Klein

Seymour is from the planet Tirna.  As a small child, Seymour was pursued by Jakarak.  Jakarak claimed that Seymour was his servant.  Seymour ran away from Jakarak and hid in some bushes.  Andros happened to be patrolling the planet and pick up the life signs of Seymour.  Andros discovered Seymour hiding in a tree and startled Seymour.  Seymour fell out of the tree, but Andros caught him.  Andros thought Seymour was cute little fella.  Andros was preparing to leave, but Seymour clung to his leg.  Jakarak appeared and attacked Andros for having his servant.  Andros fought Jakarak and Jakarak disappeared for the time being.  Andros told Seymour everything was okay and to go home to his mom, who was probably worried about him.  After Andros left, Seymour could hear Jakarak bellowing in the distance.  Scared, Seymour hitched a ride to the Astro Megaship.  Seymour appeared in one of the tubes and scared Ashley.  Ashley screamed and was ready to fire at Seymour.  Andros and T.J. had heard the screams and came running.  Andros stopped Ashley and told them it was the creature he had been talking about.  They made plans to return Seymour to his planet, after they refueled the Astro Megaship.  Ashley came up with the name Seymour for the alien, as he had stowed away on the ship to see more.  Seymour enjoyed his time on the Astro Megaship and kept Alpha 6 busy feeding his endless appetite.  Eventually Seymour collapse.  The Rangers took Seymour to the sick bay and Alpha 6 believed that Seymour was simply suffering from indigestion.  Andros stayed with Seymour through the night.  Seymour had left sick bay when Andros woke up.  Seymour returned and Andros was surprised to see a fully grown Seymour.  Seymour gave Andros a hug and then told him he was hungry.  Seymour continued to eat as the Rangers went to Earth.  Seymour saw the viewing screen that showed the Rangers battling Jakarak.  Seymour felt it was all his fault and left the Astro Megaship.  Seymour landed on earth and sat on a bench crying.  Jakarak found Seymour and was ready to take him back, when Andros, on his galaxy glider, flew over to Seymour and rescued him.  They went elsewhere on Earth and sat together and talk.  Andros told Seymour that Jakarak's attack was not his fault.  Andros and Seymour shared a cookie until Jakarak made another appearance.  Andros told Seymour to hid as he tried to protect Seymour from Jakarak.  Seymour was very frightened and tried to hid.  The rest of the Rangers joined Andros in his battle against Jakarak.  At one point Jakarak had turned the red ranger's feet to stone.  Seymour felt badly and raced over to his side.  The Rangers tried to shield Seymour from Jakarak and told him to hid.  Seymour went again into hiding, but was discovered by Jakarak.  Jakarak captured Seymour and Seymour's head stuck out of Jakarak's stomach.  Seymour pleaded with Andros to help him but later told him to save himself.  Andros told Seymour that he was strong enough to break free of Jakarak.  Seymour, encouraged by Andros' words, broke free from Jakarak and even fought him using streaks from his antennae to attack him.  Seymour was soon tossed to the side, and the Rangers eventually destroyed Jakarak.  Later, the Rangers returned Seymour to Tirna.  Andros was concerned that Seymour would be all alone, but Seymour told him that he was not alone and gave Andros a hug.  A female version of Seymour appeared and Seymour spotted her right away.  Seymour told his friends a quick good-bye and left to pursue the female.
