CAPTAIN MITCHELL
Captain William Mitchell - Ron Rogge
Captain Mitchell was in a meeting at Lightspeed Aquabase, when his daughter, Dana Mitchell walked in. Dana told her father that something had come up and gave him a significant look. Captain Mitchell ended the meeting and dismissed the personnel. Privately, Dana told her father that "they" had escaped. Captain Mitchell went into his office and removed a files from a safe. He gave them to Dana and told her it was time to bring them in. Later, Dana returned with four young people, Kelsey Winslow, Joel Rawlings, Chad Lee, and Carter Grayson. Captain Mitchell was waiting for them in the conference room. Joel protested loudly and told Captain Mitchell that this was kidnapping. Captain Mitchell told them that they were free to go. Joel started to leave, but was stopped. Captain Mitchell told them they could leave after they heard him out. Captain Mitchell told them that 5,000 years ago, this part of the Earth had been inhabited by demons. The demons only purpose had been to destroy and conquer. A strong warlock captured the demons and placed them in a tomb. There were always fears that one day the demons would escape. The fears came true when nomad travelers had unwittingly released the demons. Captain Mitchell told the group that Lightspeed has been preparing for the event and had technology and weapons to defeat the demons. He also told them that because of their skills they had been selected to become Lightspeed Rescue Power Rangers. No one in the group was very enthusiastic about the idea. A young man walked in and told Captain Mitchell he had to see something. The conference room monitor showed the Mariner Bay being attacked by the demons. Watching the scenes on the monitor, Carter, Chad, Kelsey, and Joel agreed to become Power Rangers. Captain Mitchell gave them their morphers. Inside the case, there was one morpher left. Dana was surprised and asked her father why there was five. Captain Mitchell told her that she was the fifth candidate, if she was willing to accept. Dana did. The group left for their first mission. Captain Mitchell kept an close watch on them through his monitor. Dana, Carter, Chad, Kelsey, and Joel had a difficult time with the Batlings and demon. Carter notified Captain Mitchell that the Batlings and demon was too strong for them. Captain Mitchell instructed them to use their morphers. Dana, Kelsey, Carter, Chad, and Joel did and easily destroyed the demon and several Batlings. The Rangers return to Aquabase - confident that they were done. Captain Mitchell told them that they had only destroyed one of Diabolico's monster. Now Diabolico knew of them, there would be tougher battles ahead.
Captain Mitchell announced over the loudspeakers that the Rangers were to get to the training area. Once Dana, Carter, Joel, Chad, and Kelsey arrived, Captain Mitchell sent them on various mock rescue missions and timed them. After Carter had finished his training session, Captain Mitchell was surprised and pleased that it had only taken 52 seconds. Captain Mitchell entered the mock-up building and became angry as he noted that Carter had used his blaster on everything, including the explosive tanks. Captain Mitchell stepped outside the building and called Carter over. Carter came over, expecting to hear more praise. Captain Mitchell told Carter that he may have had the fastest time, but he got the lowest score. Carter was confused. Captain Mitchell continued that he had better used his brain before using his blaster. Captain Mitchell told the group to head back to Aquabase. Captain Mitchell was inside Aquabase when the ground began to shake. Captain Mitchell looked at a few monitors and commented that it was no earthquake. Captain Mitchell sent the Rangers to investigate while he kept on eye on the monitor. Carter had run into Vypra in a parking garage. Vypra had noted the explosive containers and sent the ground shaking and made a circle of fire appear before disappearing. A group of people were in the parking garage and the ceiling above them was about in fall in. Carter wanted to rescue the people, but Captain Mitchell told him to put out the fire first. Carter reluctantly followed the order. Carter put out the fire. The ceiling started to fall and a young boy was hurt. Captain Mitchell was in his office when Carter stormed in. Carter was very upset and told Captain Mitchell that he should have rescue the people first. Captain Mitchell told Carter he had done the right thing. Carter didn't agree - because of him, a young boy was hurt. Captain Mitchell watch Carter storm out of the office, unable to help him with his internal struggle. Eventually Carter would return to the training area and noted, for the first time, the explosive containers. Carter then would return to the parking garage and see the explosive container. Carter realized that if he had rescued the people first, everyone would have been hurt. Captain Mitchell walked in and told Carter that sometimes the obvious choice is not the right choice. He told Carter that he knew it wasn't easy being a leader and he would learn tough lessons every day. Carter didn't think he was fit to be a leader. Joel called for help over Carter's morpher. Captain Mitchell told Carter that he was sure of Carter being a leader, more now than ever. Carter left to help the Rangers. After the Rangers destroyed Quakemon, Carter had returned to the hospital to visit the young boy who had been injured. Carter and the young boy were unaware that Captain Mitchell watched them as the young boy told Carter that he wanted to be just like him.
Captain Mitchell had the Rangers in the conference and showed them a video of a group of scientists. Captain Mitchell needed the Rangers to go to the airport and pick up Dr. Hanson, who would be traveling with the fuel cell. The Rangers started to leave. Captain Mitchell called Dana back. He told Dana he had a special assignment for her - to pick up his old friend, Earl, and give him a ride to Aquabase. Dana was upset and told her father that the Rangers needed her and that his friend could take a taxi. Captain Mitchell did not relent and Dana left to pick up Earl. Later, Joel, Carter, Kelsey, and Chad were battling Fireor - who was after the fuel cell. Carter had contacted Dana and told her that they needed her help. Dana had already picked up Earl and they were in his truck. Dana was getting ready to turn around, but Captain Mitchell told her no, that she had to return to Aquabase with Earl. Dana angrily did so. Later, Dana would discover that Earl actually had the fuel cell. Earl told Dana that Captain Mitchell insisted that if Dana was with him, he would get to the Aquabase safely. Dana got Earl to the Aquabase safely. Dana and Earl were met by Captain Mitchell. Captain Mitchell then let Dana go to help the rest of the Rangers. Later, Captain Mitchell was in his office when Dana walked in. Dana apologized for what she had said. Captain Mitchell told Dana that he had been training her for years to become the Pink Ranger. Dana told her dad that she was proud to be a Ranger, but nothing topped being his little girl.
Captain Mitchell stood in the testing room with Miss Fairweather, Chad, Kelsey, Dana, and a late Joel. He watched behind protective glass as Carter tried to master the Titanium morpher and power. Carter struggled to control the power, but he could not. Miss Fairweather, alarmed, asked Carter if he was okay and Carter replied that he was okay. Later, Captain Mitchell was in his office when Miss Fairweather entered. Miss Fairweather believed the Titanium power's circuitry was too powerful for an ordinary human and that they should stop. Captain Mitchell looked at the Titanium morphers wistfully and told Miss Fairweather that it would have been fantastic. Miss Fairweather agreed and left the room. Captain Mitchell took the Titanium morpher and locked it in a safe. He sat down again and opened a drawer. There was a picture frame, face down, in the drawer. Captain Mitchell picked up the picture frame and gazed at the picture - a younger version of himself with a young Dana and a young boy doing a kick towards the camera. He heard a knock at the door. Captain Mitchell hastily put the picture back in the drawer and told the person to come in. Dana walked in with a birthday cake. Captain Mitchell was surprised that Dana remembered. Dana replied that she knew that she didn't remember a lot about her older brother, but she did know that he would have been twenty today. Captain Mitchell and Dana blew out the candles and sadness descended upon them. Trying to lighten the mood, Captain Mitchell asked Dana what she had wished for. Dana told him that she was sure that they had wished the same thing - that the car crash had never happened. Captain Mitchell told Dana that they couldn't change the past. He stood up and told Dana that he hoped she knew that he loved her and they hugged. The following day, Captain Mitchell monitored a battle between the Rangers and Vypra. He was as stunned as everyone else, when Titanium Ranger appeared and began battling the Rangers. Captain Mitchell raced back to his office and opened his safe. He was upset to discovered that the Titanium morpher was gone. Captain Mitchell returned to monitoring the battle. The Rangers were not doing well against Titanium Ranger. Captain Mitchell told the Rangers to retreat and they did. They all met in the conference room. They discussed who had taken the Titanium morpher and Captain Mitchell pointed out that they had to get it back. Miss Fairweather told them that it wouldn't be easy. Later, another battle broke out between the Rangers and Titanium Ranger. Captain Mitchell monitored once again. He could see that the Rangers were in trouble and ordered Miss Fairweather to send the Rangers their latest weapon - the V-Lancers. Captain Mitchell continued watching as the Rangers powered up their V-Lancers against the Titanium Ranger. Titanium Ranger hit the ground and after a brief moment, stood up to the amazement of the Rangers. Titanium Ranger turned around, his face was partially revealed as his visor was down. Captain Mitchell uttered a soft no as he recognized the face of the Titanium Ranger - it was his son. Miss Fairweather ordered the Rangers to power up the V-Lancers to level ten. Captain Mitchell struggled with his emotions as he watched the Rangers prepared to destroy the determined, but struggling Titanium Ranger. Overcome with love for his son, Captain Mitchell yelled into his headpiece for the Rangers to stop their attack. The Rangers were puzzled and confused. Captain Mitchell removed his headpiece and sat down, softly uttering the word please. Carter, Dana, Kelsey, Chad, and Joel stormed into the conference room. Captain Mitchell has his back to them, as they angrily demanded to know why he had stopped the attacked. They pointed out that the Titanium Ranger now knew of the V-Lancers and could defend himself against them. More quietly, Carter asked Captain Mitchell why. Captain Mitchell turned around and face them. He quietly told them because the Titanium Ranger is my son. Dana was stunned.
Later that evening, Dana questioned her father about Ryan, her brother, whom she had assumed died in the car crash. Captain Mitchell relive that evening as he told Dana what had really happened. They were coming back from a visit from their Grandmother's house. It was raining. Captain Mitchell had looked back for only a minute, when suddenly there was a truck on the road. Captain Mitchell swear the car and it crash through the guard rail. Captain Mitchell, young Dana, and young Ryan had been thrown out of the car. Captain Mitchell clung to a tree root off the side of the cliff. He had a hold of Dana, and Ryan was grasping his foot. Ryan pleaded with his father to help him, as he was losing grip on his father's foot. Captain Mitchell begged his little buddy to hang on. Ryan began to slip and Captain Mitchell called out for help. The only answer he got was from a ghostly form of Diabolico. Diabolico told Captain Mitchell that he would save the boy, but the boy would be his. Captain Mitchell was horrified as he gazed at Diabolico. He told him no, never. Diabolico disappeared. Ryan started to fall and Captain Mitchell hollered out to save him. Diabolico saved Ryan and told Captain Mitchell that he would not see his son again until his twentieth birthday. Captain Mitchell pleaded with Diabolico, telling him he would do anything, just to spare Ryan. Diabolico disappeared with Ryan. Captain Mitchell had both looked forward and dreaded Ryan's return. Captain Mitchell felt guilty for what had happen, even when Dana told him there was nothing he could have done. Later, the Rangers would have more conflicts with the powerful Titanium Ranger. Eventually another confrontation came between father and son. Ryan believed (having been told numerous times by Diabolico) that his father had chosen Dana over him. Captain Mitchell tried to explain what had really happened, but Ryan wouldn't listen. Ryan ran towards his dad and they both went over the same guard rail as in the past. Captain Mitchell clung to the same tree root and gave words of encouragement to Ryan. His words, brought flashes of that long ago night to Ryan and he realized that Diabolico had lied to him. The tree root could not support both of them and Captain Mitchell let go. Ryan morphed to save his dad. After Ryan made sure his father was okay, he took off. Later, Ryan left Diabolico for good and went to the Aquabase. Captain Mitchell was thrilled to see him. Ryan wasn't sure if he had any good left and was leaving. Captain Mitchell believed in his son and knew there was a well of goodness in him. He handed Ryan a small, silver case before Ryan left. Later, Ryan would discover that his father was right and he became a member of the Lightspeed Rescue Power Rangers. Diabolico was not pleased with Ryan leaving and gave him a small gift. Captain Mitchell soon learned from his son, that he had a cobra tattoo on his back. Every time Ryan morphed, the cobra would move up his back, until it reached Ryan's neck and destroy him. Captain Mitchell did not want his son to battle for fear that he would lose him again. The Rangers had a tough battle on their hands, and Ryan was frustrated at not being able to help. Eventually Ryan sought the tomb of the cobra out and destroyed the cobra and ended the curse. Captain Mitchell was very pleased with his son and all of Aquabase thought, with the destruction of Diabolico, their troubles were over. Instead the alarms went off and Captain Mitchell sent the Rangers to find out what was going on. The Rangers were greeted by the sight of Queen Bansheera who promised the Rangers, that when her son Impus emerged from his cocoon, he would destroy the city.
Impus emerged from his cocoon and became Prince Olympius. Prince Olympius immediately began working on plans to destroy the Rangers and revert Mariner Bay back to when Queen Bansheera ruled.
Kelsey, Carter, Joel, Dana, Chad, and Ryan were gathered in the conference waiting for Captain Mitchell. Captain Mitchell entered the conference room with a stern look on his face. He told them he had an important assignment for them - to go have some fun. Joel thought he was joking, but Captain Mitchell was serious. He told them to go and they all left happily. Joel, Dana, Chad, Ryan, and Kelsey headed for the beach. Captain Mitchell found Carter training. Captain Mitchell told Carter he thought he told him to take the day off. Carter replied that he never took a day off from training. Captain Mitchell offered to train with him. Carter was a little hesitant. Captain Mitchell told him not to worry, that he still had it. They began to spare and Captain Mitchell did well. Towards the end of the training, Captain Mitchell was lagging. Carter waited for him at the base of a tree and when Captain Mitchell finally appeared, joked that Captain Mitchell still had it. Captain Mitchell replied that whatever he had, he left at the bottom of the hill. He sat down next to Carter and told him he had never seen anyone so driven. Captain Mitchell asked Carter what kept him so driven. Carter told him the story of the day the firefighter had save him. Ever since then, Carter has wanted to be just like him. Captain Mitchell reminded Carter that even heroes are only human. A streak of light went across the sky. Captain Mitchell and Carter decided to check it out. They followed and soon came to a power plant. Shockatron had attacked the power plant and now it was on fire. Carter morphed and Captain Mitchell began to put on a fireman's equipment. Red Ranger was confused and Captain Mitchell told him to go ahead. They both entered the building and began rescuing people from within. The rest of the Rangers arrived as Captain Mitchell and Red Ranger lead several people out of the burning building. Miss Fairweather contacted Captain Mitchell and told him that Shockatron had begun to attack another power plant. Captain Mitchell told the Rangers to go ahead to the other power plant and he would take care of things here. The Rangers left. Captain Mitchell entered the burning building once again and rescue a group of children on tour with their teacher. As Captain Mitchell lead the way out, he was unaware of a young girl, Ginny, going back to get her teddy bear. Captain Mitchell lead the group outside and only then did they realize that Ginny was missing. Captain Mitchell returned to the burning building and soon located Ginny on the floor. He gently got her up and made sure she was okay. Captain Mitchell noticed a pipe about to burst. He used his shoulder to support the pipe, preventing the pipe from falling and giving Ginny room to get away. Red Ranger appeared and help Ginny. Captain Mitchell waved the two away as debris began to fall. After Red Ranger and Ginny left the building, a huge explosion took place within the building. For a couple of moments, the Rangers thought they had lost Captain Mitchell. Captain Mitchell was soon spotted, climbing a rope down the building. He made it to the ground and the Rangers gathered around him. Captain Mitchell asked if Ginny was okay and they told him she was. Captain Mitchell hugged Titanium Ranger esthetically. Red Ranger told Captain Mitchell he had something to ask him. Captain Mitchell waited. Before Red Ranger could ask, the Rangers were called away for another battle. Captain Mitchell returned to the Aquabase. He was in the infirmary, being treated by Miss Fairweather when Carter walk in. On one shoulder, Captain Mitchell had an old burn scar. Miss Fairweather told Captain Mitchell to take it easy for a few days after she treated the other shoulder. Miss Fairweather left and Carter asked Captain Mitchell if he was the firefighter who had saved him as a young man. Captain Mitchell told him he was. Carter told Captain Mitchell that he owe him so much. Captain Mitchell told Carter that he owe him nothing after all he had done for Mariner Bay. He told Carter that after he had rescue him, he saw Carter smile and knew he was going to be okay. After he had gotten out of the building, he kept an eye on Carter. Captain Mitchell watched Carter become a firefighter and then choose him as the Red Ranger. Carter told him that he would start to train harder. Captain Mitchell told him he trained hard enough and to get out and have some fun. Later, Captain Mitchell stopped the Rescue Rover on a road that looked over the beach. He smiled as he watched Carter join in the fun with his friends. After a few moments, Captain Mitchell drove off.
Ryan would eventually leave Aqua Base to find a way to trap the demons. Captain Mitchell was sorry to see his son go, but proud of him at the same time.
Carter, Dana, Kelsey, Chad, and Joel went in the Rescue Rover to investigate a disturbance in the desert. They spotted a strange looking plant in the desert and as they got closer, the plant wrapped vines around the wrists. Dana, Kelsey, Chad, Joel, and Carter could not remove the strange pods from their wrists. They returned to the Aqua Base and even Miss Fairweather's attempts failed. They were all alarmed as the pods contain strange pores that would destroy Mariner Bay at noon that day. Captain Mitchell arrived, with eighteen minutes to spare, and told them of a lab on the east side that had a poison that should destroy the pods. Joel protested, telling Captain Mitchell that they would never make it in time. Captain Mitchell told them that the team was meeting them halfway. Kelsey, Chad, Joel, Carter, and Dana left. They and the lab team made it, but the poison was destroyed by a monster before they could use it. Captain Mitchell and Miss Fairweather watched helplessly from the Aqua Base. Carter had an idea and call for the Solarzord. Captain Mitchell became alarmed and asked Carter what he was doing. Carter replied that the spores couldn't hurt anyone in outer space. Captain Mitchell and Miss Fairweather agreed. Once in space, the shuttle doors were opened and as the pods opened, the spores were released into space and caused no damage. Everyone at the Aqua Base cheered. Captain Mitchell was a bit startled when Miss Fairweather, caught up in the moment, grad his shoulder happily. Captain Mitchell looked at Miss Fairweather and she reverted to her normal self.
Captain Mitchell walked along with Chad and Kelsey as he told him he had an important assignment for him. Chad was already dressed in scuba gear when they walked into the conference room. Dana, Carter, and Joel were already there. Captain Mitchell had a small replica of Aqua Base on display. He used it to show Chad where the rockslide had occurred and where the broken communications cable was. Captain Mitchell wanted Chad to swim out and make any necessary repairs.
Captain Mitchell was at the carnival with Dana. They stopped at a stage that feature Mr. Mesmer. Mr. Mesmer boasted of having amazing hypnotic powers and selected Captain Mitchell as a volunteer. The crowd clapped and Captain Mitchell reluctantly got on stage. Captain Mitchell sat in a chair and Mr. Mesmer dangled a gold pendant in front of his face. Mr. Mesmer swung the pendant back and forth and told him to listen closely and do as I say. You can't resist - your must obey. Mr. Mesmer chanted you must obey several more time. Mr. Mesmer slipped a star medallion into Captain Mitchell's pocket as he chanted. Mr. Mesmer then commanded Captain Mitchell to cluck like a chicken. The audience laughed. Captain Mitchell snatched the pendant and told him afraid not. The audience booed and Mr. Mesmer told the crowd that hypnotism doesn't work on everyone. Captain Mitchell got off the stage and he and Dana walked away. After the crowd left, Mr. Mesmer jingled his pendant and it caused Captain Mitchell to pause and his eyes turned red. Dana asked him if he was okay and Captain Mitchell told her he was. Unseen, Mr. Mesmer reverted back to Jinxer. Later, Captain Mitchell and Dana returned to the Aqua Base. Captain Mitchell was working when he heard Jinxer tell him you must obey. Captain Mitchell began to repeat the words himself and he entered the power core room. He then diverted the base's energy into Jinxer's medallion - which sent energy to Olympius' Star Power. The Aqua Base turned dark and Carter, Dana, Joel, Kelsey, and Chad asked Miss Fairweather what was going on. Miss Fairweather checked on one of the camera monitors and were stunned to see Captain Mitchell was the culprit. Over the camera, Dana told her father that the atmospheric systems were going down and the base would soon run out of air. Captain Mitchell simply smashed the camera as he changed you must obeyed. Dana remembered the event at the carnival and realized that her father was under a spell. Later, Miss Fairweather, with two assistants, managed to get into the Power Core room. Miss Fairweather was about to stop the drain when Captain Mitchell grab her hand and grinned evilly. Captain Mitchell then threw Miss Fairweather back and fought the two assistants. While Captain Mitchell fought the assistants, Miss Fairweather grabbed an emergency axe and shattered the amulet. Captain Mitchell cried out in protest and then became unconscious. The drain stopped and power was restored. Miss Fairweather ran to Captain Mitchell's side and asked him if he was okay. Captain Mitchell woke up and unaware of what he had done, told Miss Fairweather he hoped she could explain all this. Miss Fairweather smiled. The following day, Captain Mitchell walked into the transport area as Joel, Chad, Kelsey, Dana, and Carter prepared to go to the beach and were packing items in the Rescue Rover. They stood at attention once Captain Mitchell entered. Captain Mitchell told them that they couldn't afford to let their guard down and have to keep in tip-top shape. Captain Mitchell continued that there was no time for recreation and had planned a test for the next day. Joel sneaked behind him and dangled a stopwatch in front of him, swinging it back and forth. Joel told Captain Mitchell to give the Rangers a day off. Captain Mitchell repeated that he would give the Rangers a day off...except for Joel, who will now go on a ten mile hike. Joel was upset as his friends laughed. Amused, Captain Mitchell told Joel to move it double time.
Mariner Bay was under attack. Joel, Carter, Kelsey, and Chad were waiting as Captain Mitchell tried to get a hold of Dana - who was away on a fashion shoot. Unable to get a hold of her, Captain Mitchell ordered the others to go without her. Kelsey, Joel, and Chad left quickly. Carter reluctantly did so. Later, Captain Mitchell was at a training session with Dana, Joel, Chad, Kelsey, and Carter. Dana and Kelsey got into an argument when Dana dropped Kelsey in the mud to answer her cell phone. A limo arrived for Dana, who was angry that it was black and not white like she requested, and she headed for the limo. Carter reminded Dana that the monster was still out there and Dana hesitated for a moment and then took off in the limo. The team was upset and Joel couldn't believe that Captain Mitchell would let Dana leave. Captain Mitchell watched Dana leave and told Joel that he had to trust her to make her own decisions. Captain Mitchell and the teens went back to their training session. Dana eventually decided that being a Ranger was more important than being a supermodel.
The battle had moved into high gear for Captain Mitchell and his Rangers. Miss Fairweather had designed the Lifeforce Megazord. Queen Bansheera had made Diabolico and Prince Olympius huge. Diabolico and Prince Olympius destroyed three megazords. The Rangers used the Lifeforce Megazord to destroy Prince Olympius and Diabolico. Unknown to the Rangers, Jinxer had thrown one of his cards into the Lifeforce Megazord. Miss Fairweather and her team immediately began work on repairing the damaged megazords. The Omega Megazord was almost complete. Ryan contacted Captain Mitchell, Miss Fairweather, and the teens in the conference room. Ryan tried to warn them of Queen Bansheera's plans, but Queen Bansheera caught him. Carter left to rescue Ryan from Skull Cavern. Later, Miss Fairweather tried to warn Captain Mitchell through one of the cameras that Batlings had invaded the Aqua Base. Captain Mitchell was stunned as Batlings overtook the Aqua Base. The remaining Rangers tried to fight off the Batlings and the Batlings caused a lot of damage. To make matters worse, Jinxer and several Batlings managed to operate the Lifeforce Megazord and were using it to wreck more damage onto the Aqua Base. Everyone was in the operations room. Captain Mitchell watched one of the computers as it showed the damage being done. Captain Mitchell went into shock and didn't response when Miss Fairweather spoke to him. Miss Fairweather took over and told the teens that the staff was in danger and they had to evacuate the Aqua Base. The teens work with the staff on getting everyone out and Dana gently told her father that they had to go. He followed her meekly. Captain Mitchell stood for a moment in rescue ops at the damage all around him. Everyone had left, but Miss Fairweather and the teens returned for Captain Mitchell. Captain Mitchell, still stunned, muttered everything I had worked so hard for...it's gone. Dana pointed out that it wasn't true. Dana told her father that he still had her and Ryan, plus Miss Fairweather and the rest of the Ranger team. Captain Mitchell looked at them all and realized Dana was right. Captain Mitchell's head clear and he was ready to take command. Unfortunately, they were trapped in rescue ops as the connecting tube was broken by the Lifeforce Megazord. Captain Mitchell, Miss Fairweather, Chad, Kelsey, Joel, and Dana sat in the rescue ops, not sure of their next move. The windows were being to crack and water started to seep in. After Miss Fairweather talked about a date to Joel, Joel was determined to get out of their. Joel discovered a shaft. Miss Fairweather checked and it led to the submarine bay. Joel opened the shaft and it was flooded with water. Chad was determined not to let that stop them. Chad used an oxygen tank and checked the distance from rescue ops to the submarine bay. Chad returned and told the group they could make it. Joel, Dana, Kelsey, Miss Fairweather, and Captain Mitchell used an oxygen tank, and with Chad's direction, swam to the submarine bay. They entered the submarine - which was suspended - and began working on lowering it. Their work was halted when several Batlings broke in the area and began firing at the submarine. The wrench became jammed and the submarine stopped. Captain Mitchell couldn't believe it and everyone, except Joel, was stumped. Joel was determined to keep his date with Miss Fairweather. Captain Mitchell told him it was no use, it was not an airplane, but a submarine and they needed water. Joel glanced at the torpedoes and then told Captain Mitchell then they'll get water. Chad and Kelsey immediately caught on to what Joel wanted to do. They fired the torpedoes which broke through the glass at the Aqua Base and soon the place was flooded. The Lifeforce Megazord tried to block their path, but they fired off another round of torpedoes and escape. Behind them, the Aqua Base was completely destroyed. They arrived on land and the Omega Megazord was putting the final column in place for Queen Bansheera's palace. Joel, Kelsey, Chad, and Dana immediately took off. Captain Mitchell waited and watched with Miss Fairweather - hoping for the best. Red Ranger and Titanium Ranger joined the rest of the Rangers and they entered the palace. They managed to trap Queen Bansheera, with Diabolico's help, inside the tomb. Once that was done, the palace crumbled into dust. The Rangers managed to get out of the palace before it crumbled and they removed their helmets and watched. Dana hugged her dad and they were all very happy. Later, the Rangers gave their morphers to Captain Mitchell. Dana was excited that they could be a normal family again and Ryan thought that would be nice. Carter told Captain Mitchell it had been an honor working with him. It was a bittersweet moment for Captain Mitchell. Miss Fairweather drove up in her car and Joel race over. The rest of the team began to go their separate paths as well. Captain Mitchell and the rest heard the sirens of a fire truck. The fire truck went past them. Captain Mitchell watched as first Carter, next Chad and Kelsey, then Dana and Ryan, and finally Joel raced behind the fire truck. Captain Mitchell realized that he still had their morphers and shouted to them that they will need these with a smile on his face.
