SORCERER OF THE SANDS
Sorcerer Of The Sands - Gilbert Amelio
The Sorcerer of the Sands was in the form of a crow, riding the shoulder of his assistant when they came upon a young man (Ryan) passed out in the desert. The assistant asked the crow what they should do and Ryan was taken to a tent in the desert. Ryan woke up and the assistant asked him what he was doing in the desert. Ryan told him that he was looking for the Sorcerer of the Sands. The assistant asked him whether he wanted gold or jewels. Ryan got angry and told him he wasn't interested in gold or jewels. Ryan pulled out a brown tome and told the assistant that he had been told that only the sorcerer could read its ancient writings. The assistant wanted to look at the tome, but Ryan insisted that he would only show it to the sorcerer. The assistant gave Ryan a drink that put him to sleep. While Ryan slept, the assistant took the tome and showed each page to the crow. The following morning, Ryan woke up and the assistant offered him some more tea. Ryan told him he didn't need more tea, he needed the Sorcerer of the Sands if he was to find a way to beat Queen Bansheera. The assistant dropped his cup of tea when he heard Queen Bansheera's name. Ryan was puzzled by the assistant's behavior and a old voice told Ryan not to frighten the man. Ryan realized that the crow was talking to him. The crow transform into the Sorcerer of the Sands. The Sorcerer asked Ryan who he was and Ryan told him that he was the Titanium Ranger. Ryan told him that they were trying to send Queen Bansheera back to the ancient tomb. The Sorcerer of the Sands replied that an enemy of the queen was a friend of his. The Sorcerer of the Sands started to flip through Ryan's tome. He told him that the symbols were spells - very old, very powerful, but difficult. The Sorcerer of the Sands asked Ryan if he had the key. Ryan didn't know anything about a key. The Sorcerer of the Sands told him that the Golden Key made all the difference. The assistant removed materials draped over a mirror and the Sorcerer of the Sands made the image of the Golden Key appeared. The Sorcerer of the Sands told Ryan that with the Golden Key, he could read the spells easily. The Sorcerer of the Sands sat down and used some colored gems to see what the stones told them. He waved his hand over the gems and they formed a triangle shape with a singe point in the center. The stones scattered when Ryan reached for them. The Sorcerer of the Sands told Ryan that his friends were in trouble. He showed him in the mirror once more. The mirror showed the Rangers were trapped in the Shadow World with numerous monsters after them. Ryan asked the Sorcerer of the Sands to help. The Sorcerer of the Sands opened a chest and released a white ball of light, which flew into the mirror and arrived where the Rangers were. The Sorcerer of the Sands spoke to the Rangers via the white ball of light. He told them to follow him. Red Ranger thought it was a trap, but Pink Ranger was confident that it was Ryan. They followed the white ball of light to a green puddle which the Sorcerer of the Sands told them was the way out. The Rangers leapt into the puddle and returned to their own world. After helping the Rangers, the Sorcerer of the Sands read from the tome. The spell cause Skull Castle to rumble. Diabolico knew that someone was reading an ancient spell. The Sorcerer of the Sands finished the spell and began chanting, waving his hand over the symbols which caused them to glow. Skull Castle shook more violently and columns began to topple. Diabolico fought back with his own incantation. The Sorcerer of the Sands was reduced to a pile of golden sand.
