Koko Kashmere - Ruta Lee

Koko Kashmere is head of Glitz Magazine.  She was sitting at her desk looking through piles of photographs and making comments on each, too young, too old, etc.  Koko became frustrated and told her assistant that the girls were yesterday's news.  She wanted the next Glitz girl to have a sense of adventure and romance in her soul, like herself.  Koko dramatically demonstrated what she wanted to her assistant.  She went back to her desk and shove all the photos off, telling her assistant to start from scratch.  A photo caught her eye.  Koko held up a copy of the Mariner Bay Herald and was captivated by the photo of Dana holding an injured child.  Koko told her assistant to find the young woman in the photo.  Dana was soon tracked down.  The following day, Koko rode in her limo to the library.  Dana was just leaving the library when Koko emerged from her limo.  Koko went up to Dana and introduced herself.  She was even more impressed with Dana in person and told Dana that she took common people and shoot them into the stars.  Koko wanted Dana as her new Glitz girl.  At first Dana refuse, telling Koko that she didn't even like having per picture taken.  Koko found Dana's shyness charming - it reminded her of how she used to be.  Koko tried to sell Dana on the idea of being her next Glitz girl.  She told her that everyone would know her face.  Dana was not impressed, but when Koko showed her a wade of bills and told her there would be lots of money, Dana had a change of heart.  Dana wanted to go to medical school and the extra money would be a big help.  Koko took Dana straight away for her first fashion shoot.  Koko watched as Dana did various poses for the shoot.  The wind fan was on and Dana's morpher was soon revealed.  Koko was horrified by the morpher and told Dana that unless it was made of diamonds and gold, it simply wasn't acceptable.  Koko ordered it to be removed.  Dana was stunned and another assistant, apologetically, removed the morpher from Dana's wrist.  The fashion shoot continued and soon Dana forgot all about her morpher.  Koko instincts were right and Dana became an overnight sensation as the new Glitz girl.  Dana made several covers and the fans could not get enough of her.  Koko was in the middle of a beauty treatment when she called Dana and told her she was a star.  Dana was excited.  Koko told her that she had already booked her for the big fall fashion show and promptly a black limo drove up to take Dana to her fitting.  During this time, Koko was swamped with requests for Dana.  Koko and Dana attended the fall fashion show.  They got out of a white limo and the crowd cheered.  As they walked along, Dana's morpher went off.  Koko was aghast that Dana still had her morpher and told her to ignore it.  Dana was worried about her friends.  Koko told her that they could get by without her - Dana had the world at her feet, did she really wanted to give it all up to be a Ranger.  Dana made the decision that being a Ranger was much more important.  The following day, Koko caught up with Dana outside the library.  She couldn't believe that Dana had abandon her in her hour of need.  Koko told Dana that the public still wanted her and started to go over her schedule for the day.  Dana told Koko that she wasn't cut out to be a supermodel.  Koko was stunned and asked her how she was going to go to medical school.  Dana told her that she planned to get there using her brains not her beauty.  Koko accepted the fact that she had lost Dana and pondered who would be her next Glitz girl.  Kelsey came running by and Koko was immediately taken with Kelsey.  She squeeze Kelsey's face as she commented on her face and eyes.  Koko told Kelsey that she would be her new Glitz girl.  Kelsey and Dana laughed and firmly said no.  Koko was stunned.
