MARINA
Marina - Kamera Walton
Marina is a beautiful and innocent mermaid. One evening, she was caught and chained to a stake and the ocean waves pounded her. A young woman appeared (Vypra) and Marina begged her for help. Vypra cut the chains and set her free. Grateful to be free, Marina thanked the woman - Marina did not know the woman was Vypra. Vypra smiled and waved. Marina swam away. Loki commented to Vypra that he was surprised that she had found her. The following day, Marina underneath a dock and there were lots of people on the beach. On the dock above her where three rowdy guys. The guys joked around and began to throw trash into the ocean. This upset Marina and she tried to collected the trash. Marina was still trying to collect all the trash when a young man (Chad) came up on a surfboard. Marina watch and overheard as Chad told the guys to stop. The guys laughed and then threw more trash in. Chad, wanting to teach them a lesson, knocked with off the pier with a strong heel kick. Marina laughed as she watched the guys tumbled into the water. Chad spotted the lovely mermaid and said hi and introduced himself. Shyly Marina didn't respond. Kelsey appeared on the beach and call to Chad that he was need. Marina used the distraction to leave. From another vantage point, Marina watched Chad and Kelsey drive away in the Rescue Rover. Later, Marina dreamily watched as Chad, in scuba gear, repaired a cable outside of the Aqua Base. Just as Chad finished, a rockslide occurred. Marina quickly swam to where Chad was buried and pulled his unconscious body to the Aqua Base pool. Later, Marina looked through the infirmary window and spotted Chad. She smiled as Chad, in disbelief, walked towards the window. Chad put his hand to the glass and Marina smiled and matched her hand to his. After a moment, she swan away. Marina returned to her home, a sea cave. Marina was pleasantly surprised to see Vypra. Marina enthusiastically told Vypra all about Chad. Vypra told Marina that he sounded really special and that every girl in town was probably after him. Vypra gave Marina a small shelled box with a tiny pewter dolphin inside. Vypra told Marina that if she gave it to Chad, he would never forget her. Marina was thrilled and thanked Vypra. Later, Marina found Chad just as he finished searching for her. Chad was glad to see her and told her that he didn't have the chance to thank her. Chad told Marina that he didn't even know her name. Marina told him what it was and he thought her name was nice. Marina gave Chad the gift and he was touched when he saw the dolphin. Marina was confused when suddenly the dolphin knocked Chad back and covered him in chains. Vypra, Loki, and several Batlings appeared. Vypra walked over and told Marina she had done well. Chad was hurt, but Marina insisted that she had been tricked. Just as Vypra prepared to deal the fatal blow, Marina yanked on Vypra's foot, causing her to lose her balance. Marina then tried to swim away, but she was caught in a net by several Batlings. She pleaded with them to free her, but they didn't. Instead, the Batlings tied a heavy weight to the net and threw the weight into the ocean. Marina trembled as she pleaded to Chad to help her. Marina was soon pulled under and she went deeper and deeper to the bottom. Chad was able to break free and he dove underwater with a sword. Chad cut the net and set Marina loose. Marina swam quickly away. That evening, Chad waited at a dock for some sign of Marina. She swam up and Chad was very happy to see her. Marina apologized, telling him that she never wanted to do anything to hurt him. Chad told her that he was sorry that Vypra had use her. Chad told her that he would never let Vypra hurt her again, and they could be together. Marina was sad as she told Chad that they came from different world. Chad was heartbroken and told Marina that he had never met anyone like her. Gently, Marina told Chad that she would never forget him either. She released his hand, as she told him that he would always be in her heart.
On a sunken ship, Marina swam to see her father, King Neptune. King Neptune told her that he was getting too old and too tired to rule his kingdom. King Neptune decided that it was time for Marina to take his place. Marina was stunned and told King Neptune that she wasn't ready. King Neptune told her that he knew that she missed the surface boy, but that she was needed her. Marina reluctantly agreed and left. Later, Marina was swimming when she heard an urgent call. She swam down to the ship and King Neptune told her that his trident had been stolen. Marina told her father that she knew who could help them. King Neptune knew who she was thinking of and thought it was only because she wanted to see the boy. Marina insisted that he was a Power Ranger and could help them. Marina wanted to go on land and knew she could only stay a short time on the surface. Marina rose out of the ocean waves where Chad was sitting on the beach. Chad was stunned to see that she had human legs. Marina walked up to him and told him there was no time, explaining about the stolen trident and plans for it to drain all the water - effectively destroying both of their worlds. Chad and Marina took off racing through the woods. In the woods was a magical pool where Marina felt the trident would be. Marina started to feel weak and they stopped for a moment. Batlings attacked and Chad battled them. After defeating them, Chad knelt by Marina. Marina was in pain and told him that mermaids could only stay out of water for a short time. Chad wanted to take her back, but Marina insisted that he go after the trident and told him that she would be okay. Chad reluctantly left. Later, Marina fell asleep and dozed for awhile. She heard a sound and woke up and assumed it would be Chad. Instead she saw Vypra standing before her. Marina was very frighten. Vypra had several Batlings grab Marina and she was dragged to where the Rangers were battling Aquafiend. The Rangers had just gotten back the trident when Vypra emerged with the Batlings and Marina. Vypra wanted the trident back, but Marina told Blue Ranger no, telling him it could destroy the world. Blue Ranger was amazed that the trident was that powerful. Vypra resurrected Aquafiend, who was now huge and the trident became huge as well. Blue Ranger used his mega battle armor to get rid of Vypra and the Batlings. Marina fell to the ground, unconscious. Chad ran to her side after Vypra and the Batlings vanished. Chad told the Rangers that they needed to get Marina to the Aqua Base. Meanwhile Aquafiend was ready for a battle. Red Ranger told Chad to take care of Marina and they would take care of Aquafiend. The Rangers would eventually destroyed Aquafiend. Chad got Marina to the Aqua Base pool. Miss Fairweather looked on as Chad pour water on Marina's face, as she was still unconscious. Miss Fairweather could not help. After some moments, Marina woke up and smiled at Chad. She told him that she knew that he would save them and then she close her eyes. Carter, Joel, Dana, and Kelsey entered with the trident. King Neptune appeared out of the pool in water form. Carter handed him his trident back. Marina woke again and held Chad's hand. King Neptune thanked them for their help and then took Marina home. Marina's and Chad's hand broke free as King Neptune took his daughter back home. Marina stared into Chad's eyes until she was submerged. Later, Marina walked out of the ocean again. Chad was thrilled to see her. Marina told Chad that she could only stay a few moments and wanted to thank him for everything he had done. Chad wished that Marina didn't have to go and Marina hung her head. Suddenly, Chad realized that just because she couldn't stay on land, didn't mean they couldn't spend time together. Holding hands, Marina and Chad ran into the water.
