CARTER

Carter Grayson - The Red Lightspeed Rescue Power Ranger

Carter Grayson was doing the job he loved doing.  Every since he was little kid, Carter knew that when he grew up he was going to be a firefighter.  Now he was in the midst of rescuing people from a burning building.  Carter raced up the ladder.  It wasn't long enough to reach the building, so he leap onto the building.  Inside Carter carefully search for victims.  He found a little girl unconscious from the smoke.  As Carter was making his way carefully he stop for a moment.  He thought he saw something in the flames, something that shouldn't be there.  Before he could go further, an explosion erupted.   Carter was shot out the window, but he had the girl safety wrapped in his arms and they made it to the ground safely.  A young woman he had never seen before, was at his side asking to look at the girl.  Dana explained that she was a paramedic.  Carter let her have the girl and wearily walk back to the fire trucks, still wondering what had happened inside.  Once Dana made sure the girl was okay, she approached Carter.  She wanted Carter to come with her.  Bewildered Carter followed her into a waiting car.

The car took him to a helicopter, where other people were waiting.  The helicopter then took Carter, Chad, Dana, Kelsey, and Joel to a submarine.  The submarine took them to the Aquabase.   Once inside, Carter looked around while following Dana to a conference room.  As they all sat down an older man walked in and introduced himself as Captain Mitchell.  He proceeded to explain to them where they were at (the Aquabase) and why they were brought here.  Demons had been accidentally released and Mariner Bay needed help and protection.  Captain Mitchell had a team of scientists that had made special powers  in preparation for such a day.  And  individuals had been selected and closely watch.  Portfolios were distributed.  Each one had a picture and information of each individual at the table.   Carter stare at his portfolio and listen to Captain Mitchell's strange tale.  As the others made cryptic remarks, Carter sat still.

Something triggered in his mind.  While he was fighting the fire in the building he had left.  Didn't he see something.  Something not quite right - something that looked like it was made of fire.  Firmly Carter spoke up and told Captain Mitchell and the others what he had saw in the fire.  Carter knew this was no fairy tale.  The world was in danger and Carter wanted to help protect it.  Then Captain Mitchell showed them a screen which showed the damage the demons were doing.  Carter immediately agreed to help and the others agreed.  They were then distributed morphers.  One for each new Ranger, Carter, Chad, Kelsey, Joel and Dana.  They went to their first battle.  A battle that involved the demon in the fire.  The demon was powerful and gave them a strong fight.  Carter heard Captain Mitchell telling them to use their morphers.  In a flash Carter and the others called forth their Lightspeed Rescue powers.  Carter felt a surge of power as he transform into the Red Lightspeed Rescue Ranger.  As the others change into Lightspeed Rescue Rangers, a new era was born.

The Rangers made quick work of the demon.  Elated Carter and the others return to Aquabase.  Amidst the congratulations Captain Mitchell warned the Rangers that it was far from over.  This had only been one battle, they still had a long way to go.

Thus Carter's life had changed.  He lived at the Aquabase with the rest of the Rangers.  He became friends with the others Rangers, although he was reluctant to talk about himself.  Carter was introduced to Ms. Fairweather - a very smart scientist who was responsible for their powers, zords and various weapons that were made.  There was also a lot of training.   Carter was confident during his training sessions.  The physical aspect wasn't much different than training for a firefighter had been.  Perhaps a little too confident.  After one session where Carter got the fastest speed, he was surprised that he got the lowest score.  He stood in disbelief as Captain Mitchell walked away.  Soon after the team was needed.  There were people trapped in a underground garage with a blazing fire with Vypra taunting them.  Carter wanted to rescue the young boy, but Captain Mitchell ordered him to put out the fire first.  Very reluctantly Carter did so and then watch in dismay as part of the building collapse on the young boy.  The rubble was remove and the boy was taken to the hospital.  Watching the boy lay in the hospital bed Carter was furious.  Because of him this young boy was hurt.  Carter left and stormed into Captain Mitchell's office.  He vented his angry at Captain Mitchell, but the words seemed to have no effect.  Captain Mitchell assured Carter that he had done the right thing.  It still didn't feel right to Carter and he left still upset.

Carter found himself at the practice area they had been at earlier in the day.  As he walked along the target area, Carter noticed something.  One of the targets that he had shot was close to flammable liquid.  In fact, several of his shots were the same.  Carter realized that he had been so quick to shot the target that he never looked around the target for other possible dangers.  He quickly went back to the underground garage.   There were Vypra had stood was a large container of flammable liquid container.  Had Carter not put out the fire first, they would have all been injured.  Carter couldn't believe he could make such a careless mistake.  And he began to have doubts whether he really should be the leader of the Rangers.  Captain Mitchell knew where to find Carter and reassure him that he was very confident in Carter.  He knew that Carter would be a powerful leader and he was.  Still not sure, Carter returned to the hospital.  At first Carter was stunned to find an empty bed.  But when he turned around there was the young boy awake and thrill to find the red Ranger.  With the boy's praises ringing in his ears, Carter knew he could do this job.

Many battles followed between the Rangers and Diabolic and Vypra.  Always, Carter and the others on the winning side.  Then the unexpected happen.  Carter and the others were being replaced by Cyborg Rangers.  Carter was in disbelief.  Unfortunately Captain Mitchell had no choice by to have the Rangers returned their morphers.  With much reluctance, Carter returned his morpher.  He knew this was a wrong decision but there was nothing he could do about it.  Wandering aimlessly around the city Carter felt a little lost.  Listening to the others talk Carter stared at the city he had defended.  Then in the distance there was a tower of smoke.  Carter's immediate reaction was to investigate and help.  Joel and Kelsey wanted to let the Cyborg Rangers handle it.  But Dana and Chad agreed with Carter.  After a quick debate, Carter and the others took off to help.  Something had gone wrong with the Cyborg Rangers and now they were attacking the people they were supposed to be protecting.  Captain Mitchell was watching the screen when he saw his Rangers show up.  Immediately the Rangers went into action.  Captain Mitchell showed up and quickly he tossed their morphers to them.  The Rangers easily defeated the Cyborg Rangers.  Back at the Aquabase, the General gave his apologies to the Rangers.  Carter accepted it with a smile on his face.  It was great being a Ranger once more.

The Lightspeed Team had been working on developing another set of Ranger powers.  A stronger set called Titanium powers.  Carter willingly let himself be tested for these powers.  But he was unable to retain them.  As much as he wanted to, Carter's body couldn't deal with these stronger powers.  Miss Fairweather confirmed that the circuitry was simply too strong for the human body.  Unknown to the Rangers, someone else also knew about the Titanium powers and stole them.  The Lightspeed Rangers were confronted with the Titanium Ranger and he was definitely not on their side.  Many battles with the Titanium Ranger followed with Carter and the others having to pull out.  Miss Fairweather came up with a new weapon, the V-Lancers,  she believed would destroy the Titanium Ranger.  Carter lined up with his team and aimed the weapon at the Titanium Ranger.  He was ready when  he heard the unbelievable words coming from Captain Mitchell.  Captain Mitchell was telling them not to fire.  Carter was furious - they had the Titanium Ranger.  Once again Carter returned to the Aquabase furious with Captain Mitchell.  As the Rangers hurled accusations at Captain Mitchell, he dropped a bombshell on them.  Captain Mitchell revealed that the Titanium Ranger was his son Ryan.  Ryan eventually became a part of the time.

Captain Mitchell had selected Carter to show Ryan the ropes.  Carter was at the front of Ryan's door and saw that it was opened.  Like some people, he took a peek inside and saw the cobra tattoo on Ryan's back.  Suddenly, Ryan was at the door.  Carter was startled and didn't mention what he had just seen.  As Carter was getting ready to show Ryan around, the alarm sounded, it was time to get into action.  This time they were up against a monster named Demonite who was capable of cloning himself.  It was an intense battle.  During this confrontation, Carter saw the glowing image of the cobra beneath Ryan's suit.  He was concern for Ryan, but Ryan brushed him off.  Luckily Carter had noticed that when Demonite was fired upon, so was his clone and he quickly came up with a plan that managed to destroyed them both.

When they had returned to Aquabase, Carter made the decision to let Ryan know that he had seen the tattoo on his back.  At first, Ryan made light of it, but Carter wouldn't let it go.  It had seem to him that the tattoo was alive and he insisted that Ryan tell his father.  Ryan refused, fearing that he would be taken off the team.  As it was Captain Mitchell had overhear their conversation and entered Ryan's room.  Carter discreetly left Captain Mitchell and Ryan alone.  Ryan was taken off the team.  It was an awkward situation.  Carter felt uncomfortable running into Ryan when the team was getting ready for another battle.  The situation didn't last for long as Ryan had made the decision to help the Rangers.  Ryan was back on the team and Carter appreciated his help.

The day finally arrived for the big battle with Diabolico.  Carter and the other Rangers were ready.  It was a battle which the Rangers were victorious.  Carter and the others celebrated at the Aquabase.  Not only was Diabolico destroyed, but Ryan had gotten rid of the curse of the cobra.  Everyone was smiling when the siren went off.  Carter asked if it was a drill, but, unfortunately, it was no drill.  All the Rangers raced to the scene to see a huge red cocoon in the sky.  It would also be their first encounter with Queen Bansheera.  Diabolico may have been destroyed, but his star power had been transferred to the baby Impus.

The Rangers sprang into action, trying to destroy the cocoon before it had a chance to destroy them.  This was not to be.  Prince Olympius emerged.  He was powerful and managed to capture four of the Rangers and transfer them into his star.  Prince Olympius was after Carter, when he suddenly became to weak to go on.  Because Prince Olympius was young, he was unable to maintain his strength and Jinxter quickly whisked him away.  Carter could only lie there until Ryan came and helped him on his feet.  Carter look for the other Rangers, but they were gone.  Distressed, Carter and Ryan returned to the Aquabase.  As Carter fill Captain Mitchell in on what happen, someone had received a signal, it was from Chad.  Carter raced off to find Chad.  He found him and quickly got him back to the Aquabase.  Carter was mildly puzzled when Chad didn't know where their quarters were.  He brushed it off, as he again, told Captain Mitchell were Chad had been found.  The group made plans to form different search parties, when suddenly Kelsey appeared.  Initially Carter was happy to see Kelsey back as well, but was startled when she knew about their search plans.  When Carter questioned Kelsey about it, Kelsey gave a breezy answer in return.  Something wasn't quite right, but Carter couldn't figure out what it was.

Carter was back at work, when one of Aquabase's entry doors began to open.  Carter rushed to help Miss Fairweather shut the door.  He encountered Joel who was standing in front of the controls.  But Carter knew this was not Joel.  When Joel grabbed Miss Fairweather, Joel revealed himself to be Prince Olympius.  A fight broke out between Carter and Prince Olympius.  They managed to end up in the water, which greatly weakened Prince Olympius and cause him to lose the Rangers released in his star.  Another battle followed, but although they defeated the monster, Carter and the others knew that more battled were ahead for them.

Much to the surprise of all the Rangers, Captain Mitchell had given them a day off.  While the others made off for the beach, Carter decided to work out instead.  As he was working out, Captain Mitchell approached him and they spent the day together trying to outdo each other.  Something strange appeared in the sky, and both of them were off and running to the scene.  A fire had broken out in a building.  Carter had already morphed in the Red Ranger and watched as Captain Mitchell put on firefighter gear.  Although Carter tried to talk Captain Mitchell out of going into the building, Captain Mitchell went ahead.  Working together they found a young girl lost in the building.  Carter had her in his arms, and saw that Captain Mitchell was having some difficulty.  Something in the way he was moving reminded him of the firefighter that had saved him as a young boy.  Carter stared hard at Captain Mitchell as Captain Mitchell told them to go.  Carter got the girl safely outside and wanted to go back in, but the firefighters wouldn't let him, it was too dangerous.  Carter and the other Rangers had thought they had lost Captain Mitchell when they saw a rope dangling out of a window with Captain Mitchell close behind.  The Rangers raced to him, giving him hugs and shakes.  Carter wanted to ask Captain Mitchell about when he was a boy, but before he could another monster was waiting for them.

After the battle, Carter made his way to the infirmary.  He entered and saw Miss Fairweather bandaged Captain Mitchell's shoulder.  Carter saw the old scar on the other shoulder  - and knew that Captain Mitchell had to be the firefighter who had rescued him.  When Captain Mitchell turned around, Carter asked him the question that had been on his mind.  Captain Mitchell admitted that he had been him who had rescued Carter when he was a small boy.  Carter immediately made plans to train harder.  But Captain Mitchell let him know that it was okay to loosen up and have some fun once in awhile.  Carter realized that Captain Mitchell was right and made his way to the beach.  The others were surprised to see Carter and gave him a hard time.  But Carter knew how to answer them - with a super soaker.

Things began to get more intense for Carter and the other Rangers.  Queen Bansheera made an attempt to return to her bodily form.  The Rangers were quick on the scene in an attempt to destroy this attempt.  Carter and the others were partially successful.  Queen Bansheera returned in a mutated body form.  This made her even more determined to take back Mariner Bay and destroy the Rangers.  At this point Ryan made the decision to search the desert to discover a way to destroy the demons.  Now they were one Ranger shy in their battles against Queen Bansheera.  Queen Bansheera was quite pleased to see an asteroid was headed for Earth.  Carter and the other Rangers attempted to put the asteroid out of action.  They were in for a surprise when the asteroid came alive and tried to take them out.  An fierce battle broke out and initially it looked like Carter and the other Rangers were destroyed.  But the Rangers accomplished their task and destroyed the asteroid.

Carter is very protective of his other Rangers.  When Kelsey had to go see her grandmother for a crystal, he accompany her.  Talking together, Carter discovered that Kelsey and her grandmother did not have the best relationship in the world.  At first he was amazed by the size of Kelsey's grandmother's house and the athlete photos which adorn the room they were in.  But once Carter meet her, he knew exactly what Kelsey was talking about.  Unfortunately, Kelsey was tricked out of the crystal.  Once again, Carter accompanied Kelsey to her grandmother's house.  He couldn't believe how cold she was to Kelsey.  Kelsey left in tears, and Carter, unable to contain himself, let her know exactly how he felt about her.  Carter tried to comfort Kelsey outside, but he felt awkward confronted by her tears and even his words sounded hollow to him.  The Rangers managed to defeat Vypra and the others, but at the cost of  the destruction of all the crystals.  But Carter was concerned for Kelsey.  As he told Dana, Joel, and Chad, he didn't think Kelsey's grandmother would forgive her.  Carter was pleasantly surprised that he was wrong, when both of them appeared happy to be together.  Nothing makes Carter more happy than to see his friends happy in their lives.

Carter was learning how to fly the mobile armored vehicle.  During a simulation things to not go smoothly and it threw him off.  Especially as the next day he would be flying the real thing.  Very reluctantly the following morning, Carter followed Joel to the mobile armored vehicle.  Carter listened very carefully to Miss Fairweather's instructions.  Slowly he entered the mobile armored vehicle.  After some time in the air, something went wrong.  Carter was instructed to land and check out the problem.  Carter had no problems landing the mobile armored vehicle and set up repairing the vehicle.  Then he receive the call that the other Rangers needed his help.  After an initial struggle to get the vehicle moving, Carter was soon up in the air. The mobile armored vehicle was still having problems and nothing on the control panels made any sense.  What he would see from the air would devastate and terrified him.  Olympius had managed to get the rescue bird and he was now using it on Joel, Chad, Kelsey, and Dana.  Carter screamed as he saw his friends destroyed on the ground.  Then a blinding white light seemed to dragged him back.

Beads of sweat and terror were all over Carter's face as he removed his helmet.  He was surprised to see Joel next to him.  Carter stammered out that Joel was alive.  Joel tried to reassure him that it had all been a simulation.  Carter was confused - had what had happened only been a simulation.  That night he relived the terrifying events in a nightmare.  Things were even more confusing for Carter the following morning.  Dana told the same joke that she told the previous morning.  Then Carter saw the newspaper which had the same date as yesterday.  When Carter saw Kelsey rolling towards a person, like the previous day, Carter leap up and pulled the person out of the way.  The events were unsettling.  Once again, Carter went with Joel for the test run of the mobile armored vehicle.  He tried to tell Miss Fairweather that he believed that he was reliving the current events, but both Miss Fairweather and Joel thought it was simply fears.  Again Carter found himself in the vehicle and taking it up in the air.  Again, their were problems with the engines and Carter had to land the plane.  The sense of deja vu was so strong Carter could hardly shake it.  As he bent to work on the engine, something caught the corner of his eye.  As he made his way to the object, he recognized it.  It was his Lightspeed Rescue jacket.  Carter was reliving the same day.  Quickly he raced back to the mobile armored vehicle and tried to warn Miss Fairweather not to send the Rangers.  But the others were already on his way.  This time Carter was able to prevent the destruction of his friends - much to his immense relief.

Things continued to get more intense.  The Rangers went to investigate a disturbance.  There a strange sight awaited them.  A green, vine hand was sticking out of the ground.  Carter stopped Kelsey from getting to close to the hand, but it was too late.  Vines began springing out of the hand and wrapped itself around Carter's and Kelsey's wrists.  Other vines sprang forth and wrapped Joel, Dana and Chad's wrists.  The monster informed them that at noon the flowers would open and release dangerous spores that would harm the citizens of Marnier Bay.  Carter and the others were not giving up.  They returned to the Aquabase where Miss Fairweather tried her best to remove the flowers.  All attempts failed.  Then Captain Mitchell raced in with news that scientists had come up with a way to destroyed the flowers.  The race was on to meet them.  Unfortunately the monster was lurking around and destroyed the formula.  The Rangers were devastated.  Then Carter got an idea.  Quickly he called for the Max Solorzord and told Miss Fairweather of his plan.  The zord raced them into space and Miss Fairweather opened the hatch doors.  Carter and the others clung onto their seats.  The bolt on Kelsey's seat came undone and she was soon up in the air.  Carter grabbed her hand and refuse to let it go.  Thankfully the spores were soon all outside the zord and the flowers fell off their wrists and withered on the floor.  After destroying the spores the Rangers returned to rid the monster as well.

As the Rangers and Miss Fairweather tested some new weapons, Olympius and Freezer made an appearance.  Freezer quickly froze Miss Fairweather and transported Chad, Dana, Joel, and Kelsey into his stomach.  He was about to capture Carter as well when a blast hit the area.  Diabolic, Vypra and Loika was on the scene.  As Diabolic and Olympius battled each other, Carter quickly lifted Miss Fairweather and got her back to safety.  At the Aquabase there was a personal message for Carter from Olympius.  Olympius wanted Carter to meet him for another battle, Carter was up to the challenge.  As he meet Olympius, Carter demanded the release of his friends from Freezer.  Of course, Freezer was unwilling to do such a thing.  Carter removed his thermal blaster and aimed for his stomach.  Even though Freezer was spraying him with freezing cold ice, Carter never let up.  The warmth of the thermal blaster released the other Rangers from Freezer's stomach.  Carter was numb and helpless on the ground.  Dana quickly activate his morpher to defreeze Carter and they were able to defeat the monster.  Carter, following in the great tradition of all the Red Rangers, would sacrifice himself for the safety of his fellow Rangers and friends.

Carter found himself befriend a young girl.  When Heather realizes Carter is a Power Ranger she begins to tell him about how her mother was taken by monsters.  At first Carter is a little skeptical, but when Heather tells him that no one believes her, he begins to take her more seriously.  A security officer approaches them with Heather's red ball.  It's oblivious that Heather is terrified of this man.  Carter goes along with the security officer's story.  Heather thinks that Carter does not believe her, Carter tells her differently.  He is going to follow the security officer and see what is up.  While Carter is doing this, he spies Heather doing the something.  Carter has no choice but to grab Heather and try and talk some sense into her.  Heather is adamant about finding her mother.  Carter reluctantly agrees that she can help him check out the security officer.  They followed him to an alleyway where they are attacked by ghouls.  Carter fights them off the best that he can.  It upsets him that the ghouls have Heather as well.  Help comes in the from of Kai and Maya.  After the defeat of the ghouls, Carter gives his thanks.  Together they take Heather back to the Aquabase.  At the Aquabase Carter meets Leo as well.  Sitting together at a table, Leo explains about Trakeena.  How she is using the captured people's life energy to restore her power.  Hearing this disturbing news, Carter goes  to check on Heather.  He promises her that they will rescue her mother.  The Rangers are alerted that there is trouble.  Chad goes to fetch Carter.  Carter is leaving with the other Rangers when he hears Heather.  Heather wants to join them, but Carter is very reluctant to let her come along.  But the other Rangers convince Carter to let Heather come along.  The source of trouble is Tri-Skull, who has a trap in store for them.  The Rangers are badly beaten.

Carter is not willing to give up and comes up with a plan.   He tells Heather to pull a fire alarm within the building that her mother was taken.  Heather pulls the alarm and the Rangers quickly get the citizens out of the building.  Once the building is vacant Carter and Leo go to the top of the building.  There they run into Tri-Skull.  A battle follows, with Carter destroying Tri-Skull, but more troubles are on the way.  Carter and Leo are inside the building and in the room where the people have been captured.  There they are attacked by the ghouls.  Kendrix and Damon showed up to help Carter and Leo.  Trakeena is in the room as well and launches an attack against the Rangers.  The Rangers end up following out of the building and landing on a large floatation mattress.  Carter is barely on his feet when Olympius shows out wanting to defeat both teams of Rangers.  Another battle follows, but Olympius decides to back out when it gets to tough.  Olympius tosses a tampered dagger into the room where Trakeena is in.  Trakeena is using the life energy to mutate and the tampered dagger transforms her into a huge mutated monster.  Together both teams fight Trakeena.  It is an intense battle, but with the help of the Lights of Orion, the Rangers are able to defeat Trakeena.

Carter is more than happy to reunite Heather with her mother.  He proudly tells Heather's mom what a help Heather was and gives Heather a Lightspeed Rescue badge.  Carter watches both teams of Rangers joke and talk to each other.  He is very proud of them all.  The Galaxy Rangers are unable to stay on Earth and must return to Mirinoi.  Carter and his team of Rangers see off the Galaxy Rangers.  It was unique experience for Carter and one that he will remember with pleasure and pride.

Carter, Joel, Chad, and Kelsey were battling yet another monster.  But this monster had a special weapon - it could erase memories.  Carter clutched his head as he felt strong surges going through his brain.  Carter sits very bewildered as he gazes at a Pink Power Ranger.  How does she know his name.  When she demorphs, Carter still does not recognize the blond beauty.  The next he knows he's at a place called Aquabase.  Carter is adamant that he is not a Power Ranger, but a fireman and he is needed at the fire station.  No one pays him any attention.  He, along with the three other dazed people, are strapped to a strange looking device.  Slowly, memories begin to seep back.  How his life as a Ranger began, his friendship among the other four Rangers, his various battles with different monsters.  It was all coming back, then something went wrong.  Carter felt like his head was being fried.  There is people all around him.  Carter's head is pounding and he doesn't recognize anything.  There is a call that Dana is in trouble.  The group gathered toward a screen and watch the Pink Ranger battle a monster.  Joel, Chad, and Kelsey rush off to help Dana.  Carter stays behind, still not sure of what is going on.  He watches the screen but nothing is clicking.  Carter watches as the Pink Ranger is hit hard and demorphs.  Something triggers inside Carter.  He begins to remember the times he and young woman have spent together.  Suddenly it hits Carter - it's Dana and she's in trouble.  Quickly he leaves to go help Dana and the other Rangers - which end in a victory for the Rangers.

Once again, Carter finds himself testing new equipment.  This time it's a transarmor cycle.  Initially there are difficulties.  Miss Fairweather works hard on resolving all the bugs in the cycle.  During one of the training sessions Carter receives the call that the other Rangers are in trouble, he races off to help them.  When Carter arrives at the distress area, he can find no one.  He calls their names, but there is no response.  Unknown to Carter a small spider had landed on his back and stays there while he returns to Aquabase.  This is no ordinary spider, but the monster who has taken his friends.  At Aquabase, Miss Fairweather stops Carter and tells him that she would like him for more testing.  Carter lets her know that he will return after he has check in with Captain Mitchell.  Instead of finding Captain Mitchell, Carter finds globs of webbing everywhere.  Carter realizes that the base is in trouble.  He tries to forewarn Miss Fairweather but he is too late.  Carter doesn't give up and races to where Miss Fairweather is in trouble.  He tries to get through the extremely thick webbing.  Carter sees Miss Fairweather completely covered in the webbing.  He tries to get to her but he can't.  Miss Fairweather tosses him a key card before she disappears from sight.  At first, Carter is frustrated with himself for being unable to help Miss Fairweather.  Then he glances at the key card and that motivates him into action.  Carter finds the transarmor cycle and hoping that it will do the job, he takes off with it.  Finding the other Rangers is not easy as Vypra decides to give him a run for his money.  But Carter is able to defeat Vypra.  He races to the building where everyone is being held.  Carter crashes through the building and manages to release the Rangers.  He goes into full gear and another intense battle follows.  It was another victory for the powerful Rangers.

Afterwards Carter is once again testing out the cycle.  It works like a charm.  Carter can't help teasing Dana a little when she becomes frighten after a dangling object startles her.  As Carter continues to give the other Rangers a hard time about being scare of spiders, Joel plants a fake spider on Carter's shoulder.  Seeing the fake spider causes Carter to freak out.  As he jumps and shakes the thing off, the other Rangers enjoyed a good laugh.  Carter realizes the joke is on him and takes it with a grain of salt.

Carter was jogging along when he noticed Jinxter.  Curious as to what he was up to, Carter cautiously followed him.  Carter was hiding among some bushes, when he receive a call over his morpher.  The other Rangers needed his help.  Although Carter did not want to leave, he respond that he would be there.  Within seconds Carter saw a shiny silver blade close to his face.  Then he stare disbelieving at Olympius - whom he thought was destroyed.  Carter and Olympius battled it out and it was a tough battle.  Luckily Carter was able to access the mobile armored vehicle and make his escape.  As he was flying away, Carter got caught into a vortex and ended up inside the cavern with the rest of the Rangers.  Diabolico was there as well - with intent on destroying the Queen as well.  Diabolico told Carter where Queen Bansheera was the weakest - where her heart should be.  Carter raced to destroyed the Queen.  He was soon in her lair.  Queen Bansheera was not about to let such a prize get away, but Carter fought with every ounce and aiming for the spot where her heart should be, he let her have it.  Carter and the others thought Queen Bansheera was destroyed.  But that was not the case at all.

Carter and the other Rangers soon found themselves facing both Olympius and Diabolico.  Carter could not believe that Diabolico would fight for the Queen after all she had done.  It was a tough battle between the Rangers and the two demons.  At one point, Diabolico had Carter in tight grip.  Carter used this opportunity to try and talk to Diabolico.  Trying to make him remember what Queen Bansheera had done to his friends.  Carter's words had worked.  Diabolico dropped Carter and went after Olympius.  Another intense battle followed, with all the armor the Rangers had.  Finally, with the use of the Lifeforce Megazord were the Rangers able to win this battle.  But things were only heating up.

At Aquabase, Carter and the other Rangers were planning their next move, when they receive a transmission from Ryan.  Before Ryan could finish he was captured.  Carter insisted on going after Ryan.  He knew where Ryan would be held and he need how to get there.  Carter left for the cavern.  As he walked cautiously around, he spied a great commotion.  Staying hidden, Carter heard Queen Bansheera's plans for the destruction of Mariner Bay.  Carter felt ill listening to the Queen's evil plans.  Unwilling to let the Queen win, Carter continued his search for Ryan until he found him.  He had just released Ryan from his chains when both of them heard sounds.  Quickly Carter hid inside a empty tomb while Ryan pretended to still be bonded by chains.  The plan was going well until Carter's morpher beeped.  Queen Bansheera heard the sound and headed straight for where Carter was hiding.  Ryan began his attack, with Carter soon joining him.  But it was not enough and soon Carter and Ryan found themselves flying out of the cavern.  As Carter went sailing through the air, he was still determined to defeat Queen Bansheera.  No matter what it took.

Carter and Ryan were on the mobile transarmor vehicle, heading towards the palace that Queen Bansheera was putting together.  They zipped around their own Megazord, that now was under the control of Queen Bansheera.  Firing at their own zord was strange, but it was something Carter and Ryan had to do.  There was no effect on the zord.  It an effort to destroy the zord, Carter headed the transarmor vehicle towards the Megazord.  When the vehicle was close, Carter and Ryan jumped off.  On the ground they watched the destruction of the zord.  But the battle was far from over.  The Rangers raced inside the palace to complete the defeat of Queen Bansheera.  There were batlings everywhere and the Rangers fought them hard.  Queen Bansheera was there as well, taunting them.  Carter took a hard hit and as he fell to the ground his helmet came off.  Hearing Queen Bansheera's laugh, made Carter angry.  He picked up his helmet and threw it at the Queen.  The strength behind the throw was enough to knock Queen Bansheera inside the tomb.  Disbelieve ling, Carter walked up to the tomb and looked inside.  There was the Queen clinging onto the wall.  Carter heard Ryan asked him if he was okay.  As he turned around to answer him, Carter felt something attached itself to him.  The next thing Carter knew, he was inside the tomb as well.  Queen Bansheera had him in a tight grip and she wasn't about to let go.  Carter tried to get away, but he couldn't.  The other Rangers tried to help him out.  Carter knew that time was running out and asked the Rangers to seal the tomb.  But this was something the Rangers could not do to Carter.  Then a light raised up from the monsters below.  It was Diabolico.  Carter thought this was the end for him.  But instead it was the end of Queen Bansheera.  Diabolico broke Queen Bansheera's grip on Carter.  Carter watched the Queen fall into the angry, waiting arms of the demons below.  The other Rangers pulled Carter up.  Quickly they sealed the tomb.  At first Carter and the others were in disbelief that they defeated Queen Bansheera.  Then the palace began to crumble and they had to make their way out of the palace quickly.  Outside, Carter, the other Rangers, Miss Fairweather, and Captain Mitchell watch the palace crumble into dust.

Carter gazed at the morpher he had release from his wrist.  He had been through so much since he first put it on, but it had all be worthwhile.  Carter returned his morpher to Captain Mitchell and watch as his friends did the same.  It was time to go back to the life he had before becoming a Ranger.  Carter slowly began to walk away.  Then a fire truck came into vision with it's siren blaring.  Something about the siren stirred Carter.  He realized that once you become a Ranger, you are always a Ranger.  Morpher or no morpher.  Carter began to race behind the fire truck and saw the others Rangers by his side.  Forever the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers of Mariner Bay.

Carter found out that Vypra had returned and was in Silver Hills.  Carter knew that the Rangers there would need his help.  He tracked down Vypra to the Silver Hill's museum.  Carter was too late to stop her, but he had found the Time Force Rangers there.  He introduced himself to the Rangers.  The Time Force Rangers took Carter to where they live - the Clock Tower.  There Carter filled in the Rangers about Vypra's plans to summon a powerful demon.  The Time Force Rangers had no idea on how to fight a demon, but Carter knew that his friends would help them out.  He contacted Dana, Joel, Kelsey, and Chad and let them know what the situation was.  In the meanwhile, Carter and Wes located Vypra at an abandoned building.  Carter saw Ransik for the first time there with Vypra.  Carter and Wes gave them quite the fight and Carter was able to grab the amulet that Vypra needed to summon the demon.  Unfortunately, Carter and Wes didn't get very far.  Vypra followed closely and they were attacked.  Carter was ready to smash the amulet, but he soon saw the Lucas, Jen, Trip, and Katie had been captured.  Although he wanted to destroy the amulet, he could not risk his new friend's lives.  Carter let Vypra have the amulet back.  Vypra soon had the demon summoned and ready to battle the Ranger's.  The other Time Force Rangers were released and they watched the demon with wary eyes.  Before the demon could do any damage, the rest of the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers showed up.  Followed by Ryan and Eric.  A fierce battle broke up, with Carter, Wes, Eric, Chad, and  Joel using their armor gear to defeat Vypra and her demon.  Carter and the rest of the Rangers headed back to the clock tower.  Wes wanted to say thanks to the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers and to present them with gift.  Carter was stunned to see the Time Force uniform.  He had had a similar idea.  Carter gave his Lightspeed jacket to Wes.  Amid much laughter, Carter and his friends were escorted back to Mariner Bay by the Time Force Rangers.

Carter would be call to duty once again.  He was contacted and sent to locate Cole Evans.  Carter found Cole in a park in Turtle Cove.  He introduced himself to the group of Wild Force Rangers and told Cole that he was needed for an important mission.  Carter used the Land Rover to take Cole to NASADA.  They entered a building where two other vehicles were sitting.  Carter could tell by the way Cole greeted Wes and Eric that he already knew the Silver Guardians.  Carter made the formal introductions.  He also introduced TJ who had popped out of Lightning Cruiser.  TJ introduced the group to Andros.  The team was being lead by veteran Ranger Tommy - who walked in as well.  Tommy gave them a choice on whether to go on the mission or stay.  Carter didn't hesitate to say he was going.  Just before they were ready to board the Astro Megaship Mark 2 - the sounds of a motorcycle reached them.  Carter and the rest of the Rangers hurried outside where the figure on the motorcycle revealed himself to be Jason.  The eight Rangers left on Astro Megaship towards the moon.  Carter didn't have much time to explore the Astro Megaship.  Carter, TJ, Wes, Eric, and Jason were seated around a circular table with a viewing screen.  Tommy filled them in.  Although the Zeo Rangers had destroyed most of the Machine Empire, there were some surviving generals.  The generals had cogs busy digging up Serpentera to invade Earth.  They had to get to the moon before Serpentera took off.  Carter and the rest of the Rangers entered the building were the generals were and quickly went into action.  The battle followed outside - joined by Leo and Aurico.  Carter joined forces with Andros to get rid of one of the generals.  Despite their best efforts, Serpentera was taking off.  Cole went after it in his Wild Force Rider and destroyed Serpentera.  Carter cheered along with the rest of the Rangers.  Carter and the rest of the Red Rangers returned to NASADA.  Tommy thanked them and said good-bye.  Carter watched Tommy walked away.  The silence was broken by Cole commenting that Tommy was the greatest Ranger ever.  Carter laughed along with the rest of the Rangers.  Granted Tommy's haircut is regulation, but Carter had protected Mariner Bay from Queen Bansheera.
