KELSEY
Kelsey Winslow - The Yellow Lightspeed Rescue Power Ranger
Kelsey Winslow was a young woman with a lot of energy. Even her massive amount of curls seemed to spark with energy. She usually kept her hair restrained in a pony tail. Kelsey cancelled a lot of her energy with her extreme sports. She enjoys rock climbing, and roller blading.
Other people were aware of Kelsey potential as well and it was time to fill her in. As Kelsey was just finishing a climb, she encountered two men in black suits. They ask her to come with them. A woman who always speaks her mind, Kelsey ask them who they were. Letting her adventurous side take over, she followed them into a jeep. This transportation was followed by a helicopter ride, then a submarine. Kelsey enjoyed each minute of it. Even if she didn't know what was going on or who the other people where.
Kelsey entered a building that was under water. She followed the group, taking in every thing, as they were lead to a conference room. There a man introduced himself as Captain Mitchell and proceed to tell them some of the most bizarre things Kelsey had ever heard. This was followed by portfolios being distributed. Kelsey found herself looking at a picture and information about herself. Trying to grasp what was going on, Kelsey ask Captain Mitchell that all of this was design so that the four of them (Chad, Damon, and Carter) could fight off a bunch of angry demons. Before much more could be said, there was an interruption. The demons were already at work on Mariner Bay. Kelsey stared at the screen that showed all of them what they were dealing with. This was something Kelsey wanted to do and she became the Yellow Lightspeed Rescue Ranger.
The first battle with a monster went fairly well. Kelsey felt the full power of being a Ranger as she morph and it was intense. Just the way she liked things. Kelsey thought they had defeated Diabolico, but she was wrong. It was only the beginning of numerous battles ahead of her. In the meanwhile, Miss Fairweather, a brilliant scientist, was doing all she could do to give the Rangers every powerful weapon that she could design to help them.
Kelsey got along well with the other Rangers. Dana and her became close friends and enjoyed sharing quarters together. Kelsey respected Carter's leadership abilities and was always quick to put Joel in his place. Her closest friendship was with Chad. It started with her simple encouragement when Chad was reluctant to operate the Lightspeed Rescue Zords and would grow from there.
Kelsey was always willing to put her own safety above any creature. As she was out roller blading, she spied a small dog in the middle of the road. It was too frighten to move and was in grave danger. Without a moment's hesitation, Kelsey literally flew into the street and grab the small dog. As she turned back to wave at the crowd that had gather, it looked like Kelsey would be hit by a semi. But Kelsey had everything under control, as she simply rolled underneath the truck and to the safety of the sidewalk on the other side. If was this kind of daring that cause Kelsey's family to called her crazy. Kelsey would make it her middle name. Nancy, the dog's owner, quickly came over to hug her dog and say thanks to Kelsey. Kelsey was more than happy to help out. Later in the day, Kelsey was surprised to see Nancy on TV. She made her way to the front of the TV and watch as Nancy got ready to prepare her space shuttle for a launch. Kelsey excitedly told the rest of the Rangers that was her friend Nancy. Kelsey couldn't watch much of the lift-off, as the Rangers were called to duty.
Kelsey and the other Rangers soon had the latest monster defeated, but their work was hardly done. The monster had caused a lot of tornados and one of them had played havoc with Nancy's space shuttle. Kelsey wanted to help her friend and came up with a daring rescue plan - which was totally in Kelsey's style. The plan went into work, and the Rangers were able to rescue Nancy and the space shuttle. During the rescue attempt, Nancy recognized Kelsey when she called herself crazy. When the rescue was completed, Nancy and the Rangers ran to greet each other. Kelsey was thrilled with the fact that Nancy was an astronaut and Nancy was thrilled that Kelsey was a Ranger. Enthusiastically Kelsey showed her new friend off to the rest of the Rangers.
Kelsey has a very excitable nature and Chad wanted to teach her some exercises to help her achieve inner calm. Kelsey went along with Chad and tired to do the exercises, but she couldn't get it and would rather have been roller blading. Chad wouldn't let her quit and explained that although she is adventures and fearless, she had a tendency to be excitable. Kelsey began to give Chad a hard time and as they mock fought with each other, a man approached them wanting to fight them. The Rangers were interrupted by Captain Mitchell, they were needed downtown. Chad and Kelsey took off. A monster the Rangers were fighting broke off from them. Kelsey and Chad went after it. Kelsey thought they were close on the trail and without heeding Chad's warning about a back draft, proceeded through a door. A back draft came through and knock both Kelsey and Chad off their feet. Kelsey was on the ground and demorph. Chad was the first to gain conscious and couldn't believe it when he saw Kelsey laying so still on the ground. He gathered her into his arms and she slowly open her eyes. Humor intact, she asked Chad if that was what he meant about her being too excited and then she lost conscious.
Kelsey was awoken by the sound of her morpher telling the Rangers they were needed once again. There was no way Kelsey was going to stay in bed. She got up and got herself ready for action. Miss Fairweather got her before she could take off. Knowing there was no way she could stop her, Miss Fairweather gave Kelsey some extra power to help the Rangers battle the monster. Carter, Dana, and Joel were surprised to see Kelsey leaped into action, but they were glad for her help. It was another victory for Kelsey and the rest of the Rangers.
Kelsey was more interested in learning the calming exercises that Chad was so good at. This time she could completed the exercises and felt the difference. But she wanted to do something for Chad. When Kelsey saw how shy Chad was around a girl, she knew just what that was. She was going to teach Chad how to talk to girls.
Kelsey and the other Rangers had many battles on their hands. During this time frame there was the discovery that the Titanium Ranger powers had been stolen by none other than Captain Mitchell's missing son, Ryan. Eventually Ryan would joined the Power Rangers. Together they would destroy Diabolico, but the battles didn't end there. Instead Impus was given Diabolico's star power and transform into Prince Olympius. Things were just starting to heat up for Kelsey and the others.
Kelsey and the other Rangers were in the conference room at the Aquabase where Captain Mitchell was briefing them on stolen starlight crystals. Vypra had four already and only one was left. Special Agent Myers wanted to use the last one to lure Vypra into a trap. Kelsey knew where the last starlight crystal was - her grandmother. Kelsey was reluctant to see her grandmother. As she walked with Carter she told him she hadn't talk to her grandmother in years. Kelsey waited in the sitting room as Carter examined all the pictures of Kelsey's grandmother. Carter was impressed, but Kelsey was not. She had only known her grandmother when she was rich and only concerned for her money. Not when her grandmother had been as athletic as Kelsey. Kelsey's grandmother entered the room and immediately assumed that Kelsey was there to ask for money. Kelsey quickly told her grandmother that she did not want money, that she needed her starlight crystal. At first Kelsey's grandmother was adamant about letting go of her crystal. Kelsey and Carter convinced her that she was in danger from Vypra if she did not let them have the crystal. Kelsey's grandmother reluctantly release her crystal to Kelsey and Carter, but not before giving Kelsey a strong lecture about what the crystal meant to her. Kelsey assured her grandmother that she would not let anything happen to the crystal.
With her wrist handcuff to the case containing the starlight crystal, Kelsey was escorted to armor plated truck. Kelsey clutched the case tightly. Her main concern being what her grandmother would do to her if anything happen. As planned, Vypra attacked the truck. Kelsey sprang into action and fought off as many batlings as she could. At one point, Vypra had the case, but the Rangers managed to get the case back. Kelsey was very relieved and when she saw Special Agent Myers, she was more than happy to give the case to him. Kelsey was so pleased that they had outsmarted Vypra, but instead she had outsmarted them. A monster was inside Special Agent Myers and as soon as he had the case, he released Special Agent Myers body and vanished with the crystal. Kelsey was devastated - what she fear would happen had come true.
With tears in her voice, Kelsey tried to explain to her grandmother what had happen. How she had been tricked. But her grandmother was having none of it. She was furious with Kelsey and let her have it. Unable to listen to anymore, Kelsey quickly left the room in tears. After a few choice words to Kelsey's grandmother, Carter left as well. He tried to cheer Kelsey up, but Kelsey was to upset at having let her grandmother down. She felt that she had failed her and didn't blame her for being upset with her. Nothing Carter said made a difference and Kelsey walked off - needing to be away from everyone.
As Kelsey walked along the road, trying to regain her composure, she noticed batlings driving a truck. Without a moment's hesitation, Kelsey put on her roller blades and followed the truck. When she got close enough, she did a tremendous leap into the truck. There she hid as the truck rolled along. Kelsey soon found herself inside a warehouse where Vypra and the batlings were waiting. The monster soon arrived with the last crystal. Kelsey had to listen as the monster made fun of how easy it had been to take the crystal from the yellow ranger. Before Kelsey could put any plan into action, a batwing had discovered her. She put up a good fight, but she was soon captured. The crystal laser was getting ready to fire, Kelsey was desperate to stop them. Suddenly a wall came tumbling down and behind it was Kelsey's grandmother. At first, Kelsey was stun to see her grandmother there, but then she leapt into action. They put up a good fight, but the laser had been running and now it was going to explode. Quickly Kelsey got her grandmother to safety as an explosion ripped through the room destroying the crystals. Safely outside, Kelsey expressed her surprise to her grandmother that she was there. Kelsey assumed that her grandmother was there for the crystal, but her grandmother was there to help Kelsey. For the first time in several years, there was a warm hug between the two. The moment did not last long as the Rangers needed Kelsey's help. But it was the start of a new, closer relationship between Kelsey and her grandmother. Both of them enjoying each other's company and the discovery of a new friendship.
Kelsey enjoys roller blading around Mariner Bay, stopping for fresh fruit among the street markets. She was doing just this when she spied a young man stealing some apples. Kelsey was quick to go after this young man. But he was clever too and he outwitted Kelsey's chase. But Kelsey found him again when she heard cries for help. The thief was surrounded by batlings. Kelsey made quick work of the batlings, but the thief had disappeared once again. Kelsey had found out that Jinxter and the batlings were after an egg. After tricking a monster into telling why the egg was so important, Kelsey and the rest were showered with flyers. The flyers were from the thief who had the egg. He was holding the egg for ransomed. Kelsey and the other Rangers quickly put a plan together. In their various disguises, they waited for the transaction to take place. Once again, the thief outwitted them all. As the Rangers fought the monster, Kelsey went after the young man. Once again, she came to his rescue as he was surrounded by batlings. Kelsey defeated them, but the thief wasn't about to give up the money. Kelsey was thoroughly disgusted by this point and simply left him standing there to help the other Rangers. The words Kelsey had said, got to the young man and he ended up helping the Rangers. Afterwards, as Kelsey wondered through Mariner Bay, she spied the young man. He was giving food to homeless people. Kelsey realized why he had been stealing and approached him. The young man realized that they were better ways to help the homeless than stealing. He was even working for the man he had stolen the apples from. Kelsey was happy to see him strive to put his life together. And happy to have made a new friend that could teach her some new skateboard tricks.
Kelsey also had the opportunity of working with the Galaxy Rangers. Kelsey, Joel, Chad, and Dana were returning to the Aquabase when they spotted a young man in the middle of the road. As they raced to his aid, Kelsey noticed the saber and knew that the man was Leo, the Red Galaxy Ranger. Before much more could be said, they were attacked by ghouls. They made quick work of them and then hurried to get Leo to the safety of the Aquabase. At the Aquabase, Leo let them know that Trakeena was on Earth. Kelsey wanted to know why Trakeena was here. Leo filled them in on what Trakeena was planning on doing. She was taking people and draining their life force, so that she could become powerful and wreck havoc on Earth. The teams got ready to battle. Leo wasn't the only one who made the journey to Earth. Kai and Maya was there as well. Both groups left to face off Tri-Skull, who was working for Trakeena. He set a trap for the Rangers and the confrontation ended in defeat for the Rangers.
Kelsey and the other Rangers were not about to give up. Quickly a plan was formed. They went to the building where Heather's mom had been taken. Kelsey help excavate the building. Leo and Carter went to the top of the building, while Kelsey and the others waited below. Soon Leo and Carter came tumbling out of a window, followed by Kendrix and Damon who had tried to help them. Tri-Skull had been defeated, but Prince Olympius was ready to battle the Rangers. The two teams made a powerful force and Prince Olympius decided to leave, but not before he managed to transform Trakeena into a huge, monstrous beast. Working together and using all their weapons they were able to defeat Trakeena. Kelsey and the other Lightspeed Rescue Rangers would have liked the Galaxy Rangers to stay for awhile. But the Galaxy Rangers were anxious to return to Mirinoi. With her usual high spirits Kelsey and the others saw off the Galaxy Rangers.
Things became more intense for Kelsey and the other Rangers. Queen Bansheera was able to return to her bodily form and she launched numerous battles at the Power Rangers. They were able to destroy Diabolico and Prince Olympius. This made Queen Bansheera more determined to complete her palace and destroy the Rangers. Two of their Megazords were destroyed and only the Lifeforce Megazord was left. But it was under Queen Bansheera's command. While Kelsey and the other Rangers were being brief by Captain Mitchell. Jinxter took over the controls of the Lifeforce Megazord. Carter left to help Ryan - who had been captured by Queen Bansheera.
Kelsey and the rest of the Lightspeed personnel were at the Aquabase, when the swarms of batlings attacked the base. Kelsey fought as hard as she could. Then, the Megazord began striking against the base. Kelsey helped get the personnel to safety. The Rangers and Miss Fairweather were ready to leave, when they realize that Captain Mitchell was not with them. They found him and were getting ready to leave, when the connecting tube was destroyed. The Rangers were trapped within the Aquabase. The situation didn't last for long. When the viewing screen showed them their Megazord building the Queen's palace, it stirred them into action. They managed to gain access to submarine and firing torpedoes at their own zord, escaped. On land, Kelsey and the others stared in disbelief at the completion of the Queen's palace. Wasting no time, they entered the palace to take care of the Queen personally. Carter and Ryan had joined the rest of the Rangers and the battles were intense. As she was fighting, Kelsey saw Carter being dragged into the tomb. Quickly Kelsey raced to the tomb with the rest. In astonishment, Kelsey saw Diabolico freed Carter and drag Queen Bansheera to her doom. Within moments Carter was out of the tomb and the palace began crumbling. They left together and watched as the Queen's palace turned into dust.
With the defeat of Queen Bansheera, the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers were no longer needed. Kelsey was looking forward to competiting in an extreme sports competition. She turned in her morpher and began to leave when the sound of the siren drew her attention. She watched as Carter began to follow the fire truck. Kelsey glanced at Chad and they both began to race along with Carter. Soon they were joined by Joel, Dana, and Ryan racing behind the fire truck. Kelsey couldn't keep the grin off her face. Nothing could compare to being a Ranger and Mariner Bay is lucky to have her.
Kelsey still keeps up with her extreme sports. She was enjoying roller blading when she receive a call on her cell phone. It was Carter. Somehow, Vypra had returned and was trying to summon up a super demon. Without any hesitation, Kelsey was on her way to Silver Hills. She hook up with Joel, Dana, and Chad on the way there. At the abandoned subway, Kelsey and her friends saw that Vypra had already summoned up the super demon and it was making it's way towards Carter and the Time Force Rangers. Quickly, Kelsey and her friends shot off the demon. When the demon backed off, Kelsey and her friends ran to where Carter and the Time Force Rangers were. Kelsey introduced herself, but there was much time. Vypra was determined to destroy them. Ryan and Eric showed up as well. Kelsey and the other Rangers line up side by side in an impressive show of strength. The battle was on it's way. Kelsey made quick work of Vypra's warriors. The guys soon had on their armor gear and destroyed Vypra and the super demon. The Time Force Rangers took Kelsey and the others back to the clock tower. Kelsey enjoyed meeting the Time Force Rangers. Wes and the other Time Force Rangers also enjoyed their time with Kelsey and the rest of the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers. The Time Force Rangers presented them with Time Force uniforms. Kelsey was amused. Kelsey and her friends had wanted to give the Time Force Rangers their jackets, which they did. Not quite ready to end their time together, the Time Force Rangers gave Kelsey and the rest of the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers an escort back to Mariner Bay.
