Colby - John Koyama

Colby and his little sister, Ginger, were selected to board Terra Venture and travel to a new world.   Colby was very protective of Ginger.  At the park, Colby noticed a young man (Leo) talking to Ginger and within moments he flung the young man through the air.  Colby demanded to know what he was doing with his little sister.  Ginger stopped him and told him that she had crashed her bike and that Leo had saved her from a bad fall.  Colby noticed the bent bike and slightly embarrassed, he walked over to Leo and apologized.  Colby asked that there be no hard feelings and Leo agreed.  They all went to Colby's garage where Colby fixed Ginger's bike.  Colby's dirt bike was there as well and Leo admired it.  Colby let Leo take his dirt bike for a spin and Leo performed all kinds of stunts on the dirt bike.  After Leo left, Ginger asked Colby if he would give her a ride to the park, so that she could met up with Leo and Colby reluctantly agreed.  Several days passed.  Colby was working on his dirt bike when Leo walked in.  He good naturedly joked that Leo was back so soon and then noticed the serious expression on Leo's face.  Colby noticed that Ginger was missing and asked Leo what was going on.  Leo explained that a monster, Maronda, attacked the plaza and captured Ginger.  Colby was furious.  He asked Leo how come the monster got Ginger and not him.  Colby accused Leo of being a coward and vowed that he would find his sister.  Colby left to search the plaza, but all he found was his sister's shoe.  Colby was upset when Leo walked up.  Colby told Leo that his parents had dreams for Ginger and that he had promised them he would take care of her.  Colby then told Leo because of him, he had broken his word to his parents.  Colby left the plaza and went back to the garage.  Colby suited up and used his dirt bike to search for his sister.  Calling out for his sister, he drew Maronda's attention.  Colby fought Maronda.  Leo tried to help, but Colby tossed Leo to one side.  As far as Colby was concerned, Leo had had his chance and blown it.  Colby continued to fight Maronda.  Maronda tossed Colby and he landed in a heap by some crates.  Maronda was preparing to blast at Colby when Leo leaped in and took the blast.  Colby was stunned.  Maronda took off and Leo slowly got up.  Leo asked Colby to wait her and Colby did.  Soon the Power Rangers appeared and Maronda returned.  Colby asked the Rangers where Leo was and they told him that Leo had sent them to look for his sister.  Colby accepted this explanation.  Colby watched as the Rangers battled Maronda.  When the Rangers defeated Maronda, her prisoners were released from her necklace.  Colby was happy to see that Ginger was okay.  He eagerly went to her side and was a little puzzled when it seemed the Red Ranger was eager to see Ginger as well.  Ginger told Colby she was okay.  Maronda grew larger and the Rangers had everyone go into hiding.  Colby and Ginger hid as well.  The Rangers, using their zords, destroyed Maronda.  The following day, Colby was at his garage.  Ginger and Leo were there as well.  Colby pretended to be working and never turned around to face Leo - feeling ashamed over what he had said about Leo earlier.  Eventually Leo left.  Colby caught his helmet that his sister tossed to him.  Ginger told Colby that if he hurried he could still catch him.  Colby grinned and put on his helmet and with his dirt bike caught up to Leo.  Colby apologized to Leo and told him he was no coward and they shook hands.
