JERA

Jera - Richard Grant

Jera is an elderly man is lives on the planet Mirinoi in another galaxy.  Jera is the leader of his village and the people there live simple lives.   The village had gathered together in front of a rock which had five sabers embedded in it.  Jera stood behind the stone and began to tell them the story of the Quasar Sabers.  Jera told them that 3,000 years ago the sabers were placed in the stone.  Only those worthy could release the sabers and harness their powers.  Several people had lined up to see if they could pull the sabers out of the stone.  Jera let them proceed.  One by one, they tried, but no one could pull the sabers from the stone.  Suddenly their village was under attack by Stingwingers.  Jera urged everyone to run, while he stayed close to the stone to protect the sabers.  Furio entered the village and try blasting away at the stone, but he could not release the sabers either.

Jera was captured by several Stingwingers.  Furio demanded that Jera release the Quasar Sabers to him.  Jera told him that he could not and that Furio was not the chosen one.  Furio became furious and was ready to strike Jera with his sword when Maya leapt in front of Jera.  Jera was surprise to see Maya and several other young people, Kendrix, Mike, and Leo come to his aid.  Furio mocked the four young people until Damon and Kai joined them.  The young people fought Furio and the Stingwingers, but they did not have much success.  Jera was stunned when Mike pulled a Quasar Saber from the stone.  Kendrix, Maya, Damon, and Kai also pulled stones.  Furio became more furious and declared that if he could not have the Quasar Sabers, then no one could.  Furio slammed his sword into the ground, which caused the ground and everything on the planet to turned to stone.  Jera yelled to Maya to run and then he was turned to stone along with the rest of the village.

When the Rangers returned the Quasar Sabers into the stone, golden sparkles began to fall and swirl around the village.  Jera and the rest of the village were reverted back to their human forms.  Everything within the village was returned to normal.  Jera stared at his hands a few moments and then noticed Maya.  Jera called out to Maya.  Jera and Maya hugged.
