Man And Machine

In the evening, Bigs walked out to the edge of a lake.  Bigs:  "Shadow Serpent!  Hear me and appear!  It is I, a fellow mutant, with a present for you."  Slowly, Shadow Serpent emerged from beneath the waters of the lake, but he's not happy.  Shadow Serpent:  "Who dares to disturb me?!  Wait, what's this about a present?"  Bigs:  "It's the greatest gift of all.  Us mutants have joined forces with aliens and together we'll finally take over the world!"  Shadow Serpent liked the idea.  Shadow Serpent:  "I must wait for sunshine.  Then I can steal people's shadows and all my victims will be frozen in place forever!"

The following morning, at Harwood County High School, Noah walks down a flight of stairs, as he heads over to Mr. Burley's office.  Noah knocks on the door.  Mr. Burley softly answers.  "Come in"  Noah opens the door and enters.  Noah:  "Hey, Mr. Burley....whoa!"  Mr. Burley, with a magnifying glass over one eye,  quickly turned around to face Noah.  Noah regain his composure and held out the scarf.  Noah:  "You left your scarf in the classroom again."  Mr. Burley:  "Oh, good.  Thanks.  I'd lose my own head if it weren't attached.  Even then, I might still lose it."  Mr. Burley gave an awkward laugh.  Noah smiled as he hung up the scarf.  "Well, I got to get going."  Mr. Burley:  "Okay.  Thanks again."  With his glasses sitting on top of his head, Mr. Burley stood in his office, puzzled.  "Now where did I leave my glasses?"  Mr. Burley looked around the office.  His glasses fell back onto his nose as he was facing  the picture of the Lochness monster.  The picture frighten him and he fell over backwards onto his chair, which fell to the floor with his feet still flaying in the air.  "The Lochness monster!  Help!"

Shadow Serpent emerged from the lake.  Shadow Serpent:  "At last!  The sun's out!"  Bigs and Shadow Serpent faced each other.  Bigs:  "Yes.  It looks like it's going to be a beautiful day.  Just not for the humans."  Shadow Serpent laughed.  "You got that right!  I'll gobble up the human shadows and then they'll be freeze dried on the spot."  Bigs finds the idea wonderful.  Bigs added, be sure to fight Robo Knight to see if you can find his weakness.  With luck, the Rangers will get in your way and you can gobble up their life force too!

A construction worker is at a hot dog stand.  He comments nothing better on a sunny day then a hot dog.  The vendor adds, except a second one.  The construction worker orders extra mustard on his second hot dog.  Neither one notices Shadow Serpent a small distance away.  Shadow Serpent overheard their conversation and comments, who needs hot dogs, when you can eat shadows.  Shadow Serpent sends out it's very long tongue to eat up all the shadows.  The construction worker and vendor are now frozen.  Shadow Serpent laughs as he goes off to find more shadows. 

At the park, there is a dad tossing a baseball to his son.  The mom sits watches them.
