Staying On Track - Page Two

Metal Alice:  "As you wish, but what exactly will we use to destroy them?"  Vrak:  "Trains.  Their trains travel everywhere and we'll use them to create mass chaos that will cripple their ability to function.  Then we'll herd them up like helpless sheep."  Metal Alice tells Vrak that is brilliantly devious.  I'll say you're on the right track.  Vrak laughs even more.

Metal Alice looks over the city and then the train tracks.  Metal Alice thinks Vrak's train scheme is perfect.  One small disruption and they fall into chaos.  Soon their mindless routine will be turned upside down.

Several citizens are watching on a platform for their train.  A young boy holds his father's hand, anxious for the arrival of his mother.  The boy's father's cell phone rings.  The dad answers and passes on the phone onto his son.  The boy excitedly greets his mother.

The boy asks his mother, when will you be here?  Can you tell the conductors to make the train go faster?  This makes the mom smile.  She answers, no sweetie, but I'll be there pretty soon.  When I get there, I'm going to give you a big hug, okay?

The boy and mom exchange I love you.

Metal Alice enters the control room of the train station.  Metal Alice gives a small cough.  The station manager, with his back turned, tells her employees only in here.  Metal Alice stands beside the station manager.  The station manager states, I said you're not supposed to, and is startled when he turns around and sees Metal Alice.  What in the world!  What are you?  Metal Alice shoves the station manager and uses her weapon to strike the computer systems and screens.  Metal Alice walks out.  The station manager is in a panic.  The controllers!  Get out!  The station manager and the rest of the employees hurry out of the room.

An announcement is made on the train.  Attention please.  We will be making an unscheduled stop.  Please stand by for further information.  The husband, over the phone, asks, what going on?  The mom replies, they're making some kind of announcement.  Let me listen and then I will call you back.  The announcement continues.  We're experiencing technical difficulties.  We'll be making an unscheduled stop.  We anticipate resuming our services as soon as they give the all clear.  We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Metal Alice returns to the Underwater Lab and informs Vrak, and so it begins.  The first step of disrupting the train system has been accomplished.  Now the humans' flawed nature will take over.  Vrak replies, perfect.  So what is the next step?  Metal Alice tells Vrak the sense of order humans rely on is now gone.  Metal Alice gives a small laugh.  Soon their frustration will turn into anger and chaos.  Humans who normally act civilized will quickly turn on each other.  In the chaos they will destroy themselves.
