Niella, the Gatekeeper - Antonia Prebble

Niella was a powerful sorceress.  She is also Udonna's sister and the mother of Clare.  When she was young and first learning to become a sorceress, she made many mistakes.  A trait her daughter, Clare, would follow.  Years ago, darkness tried to overtake the surface world.  A person within the gates, told Niella to seal the gates, it was the only way.  Niella did not want to, but she knew it was the only way.  Niella who used her great powers to seal the gates and drove the darkness underground.  This effort cost her her life force.  Her powers have been pass on to her heir, Clare.
