MIKO

Miko - Roseanne Liang

Mrs. Watanabe is Sensei Kanoi's wife and the mother of Cam.  When she became ill, Sensei Kanoi made her a promise that he would keep Cam out of danger.

Years before, Miko attended the Wind Ninja Academy.  Miko was dressed in the test uniform, until her element could be decided.  Miko had her face covered and watched, along with the rest of the students, a demonstration of the sword technique by the top student, Kanoi Watanabe.  After the demonstration, Sensei wanted someone to spar with Kanoi.  Sensei walked along the rows of students and stopped in front of Miko.  Miko accepted the challenged.  Kanoi protested that it was a new student, and would be unfair.  Miko walked onto the stage and surprised Kanoi by being very good, and using the Samurai technique.  After, Sensei congratulate Miko on a job well done.  Kanoi, surprised, said that Miko is a girl's name.  Miko removed her head coverings, and revealed that she was indeed a girl.  Kanoi protested that there were no girls at the Academy.  Kiya, Kanoi's twin brother, felt differently and thought girls should be welcome.  Kanoi told Kiya, he was always for breaking the rules, and he knew what his brother was up to.  Sensei made the decision that Miko stayed.  Miko bowed to the audience and her Samurai ambulant fell out.  She quickly put it back inside her uniform, but it had been spotted by Cam, who had traveled back into the past, and Kiya.  Later, in the woods, Miko was practicing when Kiya approached.  Kiya wanted a look at the ambulant, but Miko refused.  She explained that it was a family heirloom and hoped he understood.  Kiya used his powers to persuade Miko to show him the ambulant.  Miko was about to when Cam arrived and broke the spell.  Once more, Miko dropped the ambulant back inside her uniform.  Kiya walked away and Cam asked Miko about her Samurai techniques.  Miko and Cam walked together and she told him how the ambulant had come from her father and been in her family for generations.  Miko asked Cam about his family.  Cam told her that his mother had died when he was young and his father didn't approved of the path he had chosen.  Cam told her that his father believed his mother would not have approved either.  Miko and Cam stopped in front of her tent.  Miko told Cam she felt if his mother could see him now, she would feel differently.  Cam was pleased and Miko stepped inside her tent.  She took off the ambulant and gave it a small bow.  Miko soon became aware of another presence and realized that "Cam" had stolen her ambulant.  Miko yelled at him to stop, but "Cam" continued running.  Miko soon caught up to Cam in the woods and began battling him for her ambulant.  Cam did not know what she was talking about.  Several students and Kanoi arrived in the woods and Kanoi told Cam there was no stealing from a fellow student at the Academy.  The students took Cam and Miko followed.  On the same stage, Sensei told Cam he had been accused of stealing and several students had seen him do it.  Cam looked at Miko and told her he would never steal from her.  Sensei was about to announce the verdict, when Kanoi arrived with a student, his face covered.  Kanoi revealed that it had been Kiya who had stolen the ambulant and was using dark powers.  Kiya was taken to the stage where Sensei told him using dark powers meant banishment.  Kiya did not care and announced he would no longer be known as Kiya, but as Lothor.  A battle erupted and the ambulant ended up in Cam's hands.  Kiya put up a force field, and battled Cam.  Miko and Kanoi stood side by side and watched the battle.  The amulet's powers helped Cam defeat Kiya.  Miko and Kanoi raced up to Cam and asked him if he was okay.  Kiya yelled at Kanoi that he would never forger the part he had played and he would get his revenge.  Sensei trapped Lothor in a bubble and banished him.  Cam tried to return the ambulant, but Miko told him to keep it.  She felt that it was meant for him all along.  Cam insisted, but Miko told him it was what he had been looking for.  The time portal opened up.  Cam told Miko he wished he could stay longer, there was such much that he wanted to ask her.  Cam went through the time portal.  Miko and Kanoi watched him together.
