Kick Into Overdrive, Part I

Mack is flying in a plane.  Mack:  I flew to Kuala Lumpur in a private passenger jet.  Reclining seats, great food, and a very cute flight attendant.  My return flight wasn't so cozy.  Mack suddenly jerks awake.  The pilot faces him.  Barron Van Gorstein:  Welcome aboard Air Barron Van Gorstein, my young friend.  Barron Van Gorstein proceeds to tell Mack that there will be no in flight movie and the plane, he has Mack's relic and the plane is about to go kaput.  Barron Van Gorstein then parachutes out of the plane.  Mack had been unable to do anything, because his hands are tied.  Mack tips down his hat and catches a small laser into his mouth.  Mack uses the laser to cut the ropes bonding his hands.  Mack quickly realizes there is no parachute.  Mack jumps out of the plane and lands behind Barron Van Gorstein.  Mack wrestles the relic free from Barron Van Gorstein.  Unfortunately, Barron Van Gorstein manages to knock Mack off.  Mack falls through the clouds.

Mack lands with a thud onto the grass.  As he wakes up from his dream, Spencer is standing over him.  Mack slowly gets up as Spencer comments on Mack's reading material.  Mack asks Spencer if he has lowered the hammock and Spencer tells him yes.  It's the third time this month, that Mack has fallen out.  Mack wishes he could have some adventures with his dad.  Mack brings up his dad's quest for the Crown of the Gods - Corona Aurora.  Spencer is more skeptical, Mack's dad has spent several years searching for the crown.  Elsewhere, Andrew Hartford has finally found Corona Aurora.  For a few moments he gazes at the beautiful crown, and then the ground beneath him begins to shake. Simultaneously on two planets, Flurious and Moltor are released from their imprisonment.  They know the crown has been found. Back at the dig, Andrew manages to get hurt while the ground shakes.  Once the shaking has stopped, a glowing image of a knight appears before him.  The Sentinel Knight tells Andrew that he has inadvertently freed great evil.  The Sentinel Knight tells Andrew what he must now do, and warns him there is not much time.  Six months later, in Hollywood, California, an action film is being shot.  Dax, the stunt man does well in the fighting scenes.  Dax is about to kiss the leading lady when the director yells cut.  The leading man takes Dax's place as Dax walks away.  Dax watches the rest of the filming, commenting that he knows how to kiss, but the leading man can't even run.  Dax walks over to his small stunt's chair and notices a small gold, treasure chest sitting on it.  Dax opens the box and a hologram image of Andrew appears.  Andrew tells Dax he has enjoyed all of Dax's films.  At the Italian Grand Prix, Ronnie Robinson had just won the championship.  Ronnie gets out of her crowd and acknowledges the crowd's cheers.  As Ronnie holds her cup for winning the grand prix, she notices the small gold treasure chest inside.  Ronnie removes the chest and opens it.  A hologram of Andrew appears congratulating Ronnie's on her win and comments that she always wins.  In Brazil, Will is carefully breaking into a safe.  Will is expecting to recover stolen jewelry.  Instead Will finds the small gold chest.  Will opens the chest and it displays a hologram of Andrew.  Andrew tells Will that the safe is his and a test that Will has passed.  In London, in a university, a robot is firing lasers at panic students and staff.  Rose calmly walks in and takes charge of the situation.  Once Rose has turned the robot off, she tells the professor not to mess around with her robots.  Rose picks up her books and the small gold treasure chest falls to the floor.  Rose picks it up and opens it.  The hologram of Andrew appears and compliments Rose on the paper she wrote.  The four teens gathered at Andrew's mansion, wondering what they had been invited to.  Mack walks in and Ronnie assumes Mack is here because he received an invitation as well.  But Mack has no idea what is going on.  Andrew walks out of his study, followed by Spencer, and greets Dax, Ronny, Rose, and Will warmly.  Mack asks his dad what is going on.  Andrew is very surprised to see his son there and very quickly takes him out of the room and shuts the doors on him.  The four teens are puzzled by this.  Andrew offers the teens some lemonade and asks Spencer if he has any.  Spencer thanks him and tells him he is fine.  Andrew points out he meant for Spencer to get some.  Spencer, a little embarrassed, walks out of the room.  Andrew tells the teens he has brought them together to ask them something.  Outside of the room, by a vent, Mack and Spencer are listening to the conversation within.

Andrew plays some footage of an event that took place three days earlier.  It shows Flurious and Moltor attacking.  Andrew points out that the evil has already started.  Andrew begins to tell them the story of the Corona Aurora.  Rose knows the story and tells it to the group.  There were two brother who had found the Corona Aurora crown and wanted to steal it.  When they touched the crown, they were both cursed and imprison in their own elements.  Dax, Ronny, and Will are surprise that Rose know the story.  Rose tells them she studied mythology at the university.  Andrew continues with the story.  The guardians wanted to protect the guard.  The guardian took the jewels off the crown and scattered them.  The jewels landed on Earth.  Dax thinks the idea would make a great movie and wonders if he could play the part of Andrew.  The four teens are skeptical.  Desperate, Andrew hollers through the vent for Spencer.  Andrew explains that he needs their talents and strengths to put everything right again.  Will tells them he is not a team player.  Andrew goes to his vault and takes out the Corona Aurora crown, but still the teens did not want to get involved.  Rose suggests he buy an army, but Andrew know he needs Power Rangers and he wants to make the four of them Power Rangers.  Spencer arrives with the lemonade and Andrew asks Spencer to stop the teens, who are leaving.  Spencer tells Andrew he cannot force people to do what they do not want to do.  The four teens are about to leave the mansion when the Sentinel Knight appears before them.  The Sentinel Knight tells the four teens that Andrew is telling the truth.  Elsewhere, Flurious has found a snowy tundra that will serve well as his base.  A snow creature, Norg, slides down into Flurious base.  Norg is happy and thinks he has new friends.  Flurious blasts Norg off his feet, but Norg doesn't mind and claps happily.  Moltor has also set up his base and is very pleased with it.  His basin shows him an image of a mansion.  Moltor knows where the Corona Aurora is now.  Moltor sends several Lava Lizards to get the crown for him.  Underneath the mansion, Andrew and the four teens are at the base of their operation.  Spencer is there as well.  Andrew has the four teens undergo having their molecules enhanced.   Andrew explains that this will help them.  Andrew also tells them that he wouldn't ask them to do anything that he wouldn't do himself.  Andrew is ready to become the Red Ranger.  The process is about to start, when Mack walks in.  Andrew tries to get Mack to leave, but Mack wants to be a part of what is going on.  Andrew and Mack leave the operation base and are back upstairs.  Mack knows his dad is up to something, because he had been working non stop when he returned from his last trip.  Mack tells his dad that he messed something up and now needs to fix it.  Mack is adamant that he wants to be a Power Ranger as well.  Outside the mansion, Ronny, Rose, Dax, and Will are walking around.  Will's newly enhanced sense come to focus as he can heard something.  That something turns out to be Lava Lizards.  Rose, Dax, Will, and Ronny all battled the Lava Lizards and quickly defeated.

Ronny has decided she has had enough.  Ronny gets up and faces the Lava Lizards.  Ronny soon discovers her new ability is speed as she battles the Lava Lizards.  Dax quickly follows suit and discovers his ability is to jump very high.  Rose discovers she can turn invisible.  The four teens battle the Lava Lizards.  Spencer walks out of the mansion and sees the four teens battling the Lava Lizards.  Spencer quickly walks back inside the mansion.  In the mansion, Andrew refuses to let Mack become a Power Rangers, despite Mack's willingness to help.  Spencer walks up to them and tells Andrew that lizards are attacking his houseguests.  Andrew instructs Spencer to get the car and the teens.  Andrew instructs Mack to stay in the house where it is safe.   Elsewhere, Flurious is watching a giant screen.  Flurious sees the Lava Lizards attacking the teens.  Flurious knows that his brother, Moltor, has discovered where Corona Aurora and is furious that Moltor did not tell him.  Flurious sends several of his Chillers out.  Spencer quickly walks back out, with Mack close at his heels.  Spencer stops Mack before he can go any further and tells him his father wants him to stay put.  Mack refuses.  Rose, Ronny, Dax, and Will run up to Spencer.  Spencer tells Ronny, Dax, and Will to get the ATV's.  Spencer instructs Rose to come with him, and Mack as well.  Mack and Rose are riding in the vehicle with Andrew and Spencer.  The three teens are ahead of them on the ATV's as they race along.  Mack tells Rose what a great job she did battling the Lava Lizards and Rose is very flattered.  All the vehicles stop when they see numerous Chillers ahead.  Andrew pulls out a briefcase that has their morphers inside.  Andrew gives Dax, Will, Rose, and Ronny the Overdrive Trackers and tells them now is the time.  Andrew is about to join them, but Mack stops him.  Mack still wants to help, but his father refuses.  Ronny, Rose, Dax, and Will run towards the Chillers.  There is no time to waste, and the four teens morphed into the Power Rangers.  The four Rangers battle the Chillers.  Back at the vehicle, Andrew steps away and is attacked by a Lava Lizards.  Andrew drops his Overdrive Tracker.  Mack sees it on the ground.  Mack jumps out of the vehicle and picks up the Overdrive Tracker.  Mack uses the morpher and becomes the Red Power Ranger.  Andrew, still struggling against the Lava Lizards, sees his son become the Red Ranger.  Red Ranger joins the rest of the Rangers in their battle against the Chillers and Lava Lizards.  The Rangers destroy the Chillers and Lava Lizards.

Moltor has arrived and grabs a hold of Andrew and tosses him to the ground.  Moltor picks up Andrew and demands to know where the Corona Aurora crown is.  Moltor gets knock off his feet by a laser fired by Red Ranger.  The Rangers race over to Mr. Hartford and help him to his feet.  Moltor stands up as well.  Several Lava Lizards gathered around Moltor and one of them gives him the crown.  Spencer comes up to the Rangers and Mr. Hartford and apologizes, he was overpowered by the Lava Lizards.  Moltor then blows the top of a volcano and lava begins pouring down the streets of the city.  Moltor gives the Rangers a choice, go after him and retrieve the crown, or save the city.  Moltor and the Lava Lizards then vanish.  The Power Rangers have no idea what to do and turn to Mr. Hartford.
