Not So Simple

Gemma is sitting next to Gem. Gemma is writing in her diary. Gemma: Dear Awesome Diary. What a fascinating week it's been for Gem and me getting to know all the Rangers. Dillon is nice, but very brooding. I'd be brooding too if I was slowly turning into an evil Venjix robot.
Dillon is laying on a table as Dr. K does her weekly anti virus upload. Summer is standing close by. Dillon: How much longer doc? Dr. K: the weekly anti virus uploads merely slow the rate of growth. They don't reverse it. Gemma also notes how caring Summer is, especially when it comes to Dillon. Gemma also adores Summer's flippy hair and wants to ask what she uses.
Gemma writes how Scott is a great team leader. How Scott and his dad are a lot a like, and wonders how come they argue so much.
Gemma writes how she and Gem can always count on Ziggy to make them laugh. Gemma remembers how Ziggy had shown her and Gem how to strike a pose, even if they haven't won yet. Although Gemma admits that she and Gem don't always get Ziggy's humor.
When Gemma gets to Flynn, she writes that he is a simple mechanic. Flynn is outrage when he reads this in Gemma's diary. Gemma can't believe he read her diary. Flynn is more concern in proving Gemma wrong. Flynn demonstrates several inventions he has come up with, including one that cleans a car in mere seconds. Flynn is showing off his latest invention, when the alarms go off. The team heads into the Ranger room, where Dr. K informs them of an attack bot. The teens morph and form their three Megazords. Dr. K monitors the battle. The Rangers have a difficult time against the attack bot, and eventually two of the Megazords are knocked to the ground. Blue Ranger steps out of the High Octane Megazord. Blue Ranger has another invention, something he refers to as jumper cables for the Megazords. Dr. K warns him not to use it, but Blue Ranger does so with disastrous results. Blue Ranger doesn't understand what went wrong.
Dr. K works quickly to reconfigure the zords and they are soon back online. Blue Ranger returns to the Megazord. The battle continues as the Rangers battle the giant attack bot. The attack bot is destroyed. At Venjix's palace, Tenaya 7 is not surprised to see the attack bot has been destroyed and blames General Shifter. Venjix is calm as the attack bot did what he wanted, the bot had planted lead chargers inside the city. When activated, the chargers will damage the shields and the next attack bot will be able to enter the city with ease. Tenaya 7 wants to design the next attack bot, but General Shifter smugly tells her he has already taken care of the next attack bot. The team returns to the Ranger room. Dr. K is furious with Flynn. Flynn apologizes and doesn't know what happened. Dr. K shows him how he completely obliterated the bio energy channels required for the fueling sequencing of the Megazords. If another attack bot appears before Dr. K can fix the problem, they are in trouble. Flynn insists he can find the problem, but Dr. K doesn't want him anywhere near the zords. Flynn tells her it is his profession. Dr. K points out that she cuts her own hair and knows that if she became a barber, she would be an abject failure. Flynn is very hurt. After the meeting, Flynn begins tossing out all his inventions. Gemma and Gem are writing in their diaries. Gemma knows that Flynn had messed up, but thought Dr. K had been a little too hard on him. Gemma realizes that perhaps Flynn is more than a simple mechanic. Gem finishes writing and is ready for bed. Gemma tells him she will come up later. Gemma takes a look at what Flynn has tossed out. Back at Venjix's palace, General Shifter reveal the Hammer attack bot. Tenaya 7 puts it down, insisting she could do better. Venjix points out that her job is not to design attack bot. Tenaya 7 wants to know what her job is. Venjix becomes angry with her and tells her she will do what she is told. Back at the garage, Ziggy tells the guys he is willing to show them the secrets of shadow puppets, but the guys decline. They are headed up the stairs, when Flynn notices Gemma is working on one of his inventions. Gemma is impressed with his invention and tells him that it is brilliant. Gemma wants to add some upgrades to it. Flynn is surprised and asks Gemma if she is going to finish his sentences. Gemma tells him no. They begin working all night on Road Attack Zord. They eventually fall asleep, but they got the job done. The following morning, they are awaken by the alarms going off. Everyone races down the stairs, except for Flynn and Gemma who get up from the table. They all raced into the Ranger room. Dr. K tells them there is another attack bot. Dr. K hasn't finished the repairs. Unfortunately Dr. K is going to have to send them in completely unarmed.
The building shakes and the team needs to get going. Gem is about to leave, but not Gemma. Gemma tells him to go ahead, she will catch up. Gem, Summer, Dillon, Scott, and Ziggy race out for the city. Flynn and Gemma talk to Dr. K. Gemma tells her she had uploaded the Road Attack Zord to her computer. Dr. K is outrage. Gemma and Flynn insist the zord will work. Dr. K refuses to listen and tells them they need to head out. Flynn and Gemma reluctantly leave. Inside the city, five of the Rangers arrive and face General Shifter and Hammer attack bot. The five Rangers battle Hammer bot. Inside Venjix's palace, Venjix is pleased until General Crunch informs him that Tenaya 7 has left. Venjix becomes very angry, which General Crunch enjoys. Flynn and Gemma race towards the city in Flynn's car when they are suddenly struck. Flynn and Gemma get out of the car and see it is Tenaya 7. Gemma and Flynn battle Tenaya 7. Elsewhere, the five Rangers struggle in their battle against Hammer bot. Meanwhile, Colonel Truman contacts Dr. K and asks if he should send in his men. Red Ranger tells Dr. K no. Flynn pleads with Dr. K to use the Road Attack Zord. The five Rangers tell Dr. K they need something. Dr. K reluctantly downloads the zord. A giant tire arrive and quickly knocks out Hammer. But the Road Attack zord is out of control. The five Rangers try to stop it. Gemma and Flynn are still battling Tenaya 7, but they are aware of the problem the rest of the Rangers are having. Flynn doesn't understand why the zord is out of control. Gemma battles and defeats Tenaya 7. Flynn instructs Gold Ranger on what to do to stop the zord and it works. As Gemma and Flynn get into Flynn's car, Gemma tells Flynn it was her fault. Gemma had added a lot of upgrades to the zord. Far from being mad, Flynn is excited. Upgrades is what they need. Hammer bot is back on it's feet. General Shifter instructs for the download to begin, and Hammer bot is soon giant size. Blue Ranger and Silver Ranger arrive in their zords. Dr. K has fixed the sequencing problem. The SkyRev Megazord is formed and the Road Attack Zord is released. The Rangers battle Hammer bot with the Megazords with success. Dr. K asks Colonel Truman if he still doubts her and her team. Colonel Truman wisely says nothing. The Rangers destroy Hammer bot.
Tenaya 7 returns to Venjix's palace. Venjix is very angry with Tenaya 7's insubordination. Tenaya 7 blames it on her human side. Venjix tells her she is not human, she is completely machine and if she doesn't behave, she will be dismantle. General Crunch wants Tenaya 7 to be dismantle and is eager to watch. Tenaya 7 tells General Crunch he better watch it and storms off. Meanwhile, in the garage, Gem and Gemma are writing in their diaries. Gemma writes how another great week it's been and she now feels that Flynn is the most fascinating person on the team. Gem finishes up and heads off to bed. Gemma continues writing in her diary as she walks up the stairs. Flynn steps out and asks Gemma if she would like to work with him, perhaps on Saturday. Gem has also pop up and although Gemma would like to, she tells Flynn that she had already committed to working on a project with Gem. Flynn smiles and Gemma smiles back.
