Scott and Summer take Dillon to their headquarters. Scott: So here we are. Home sweet home. Summer: We call it the garage. Flynn rolls out from underneath a car. Flynn: See if you can guess why? Dillon walks over to a car. Dillon: Yours? Scott: All 700 horses. Dillon: Cute toy. Summer shows Dillon the diagrams of their zords. Dillon is still unsure as to whether he wants to join their team. They point out he will go back to jail and Dillon asks them how long that will hold him. Summer stills wants Dillon on their team. Scott, Summer, and Flynn walk away, mentioning the tests Dillon would have to take. This perks Dillon's interest. With Dr. K's supervision, Dillon under goes several tests. Dillon's scores are so high they are off the chart. Scott doesn't care, he doesn't trust Dillon. Flynn tells him he doesn't trust him either, but it's not like they have a long line of qualified candidates. Dr. K stresses series Black needs to come online.
Inside Venjix's headquarters, Venjix reveals his latest robot, to the excitment of the generals. Generation 9 Amphibious Attack Bot. This robot will be able to use the water supply underneath Corinth to enter the city and destroy it.
Summer, Flynn, and Scott take Dillon on a tour of Corinth and explain how the city works. Dillon knows what they are up to, showing him what he would be protecting. Dillon tells them not to trust him, that someone else had trusted him and he had failed them. Summer points out that Dillon is still looking for that person, even if he doesn't remember who they are. Summer tells Dillon that is the kind of person she would want looking out for her. Flynn, Scott, and Summer walk away to give Dillon time to think. It starts to rain, and Dillon watches as various families in the park put things away and try to get shelter from the rain. Dillon walks over to Scott, Summer, and Flynn and tells him he will do it, but he has one condition.
The condition is releasing Ziggy from prison. Summer, Flynn, Scott, and Dillon wait as Ziggy is escorted out of his cell. Ziggy taunts the inmates, gloating that he will be working for the Power Rangers. Hector threatens Ziggy, but Ziggy doesn't pay any attention. Ziggy introduces himself and greets Summer with enthusiasm, telling her he is a big fan. Ziggy then gives Flynn a big hug. Scott asks Dillon why he wants Ziggy working for them. Dillon tells him because Ziggy makes great shadow puppets.
They all go to Dr. K's lab. Dillon takes the morpher and bonds with it - becoming the Black Ranger. Flynn, Scott, and Summer morphed as well. The four Rangers are pretty excited, but not as excited as Ziggy, who has watched the process. Ziggy decides to take a picture of the four Rangers, then takes another with his face in the picture as well. Dr. K begins to become impatient with Ziggy. Ziggy realizes he has ruin a bonding moment and tells Dr. K that he won't even notice that Ziggy is there. Ziggy then makes the mistake of asking Dr. K why the spandex? Ziggy then finds himself scrubbing the floors with a toothbrush, wondering why Dr. K is so sensitive. Dr. K wonders if it would be too clichéd if he mentions that Ziggy missed a spot. The rest of the teens are getting ready for bed. Scott tells Dillon where everyone's rooms are. Dillon has his pocket watch and Scott asks him if he is going to sleep with it. Dillon remarks that he would if he slept. Summer has overheard the exchange and she is concern for Dillon. That night, Dillon does sleep and has a nightmare. Dillon wakes up shaken and has a change of heart. Dillon races down to where Ziggy is still working. Dillon asks Ziggy how to get out of the city. Ziggy is a bit surprise, but tells Dillon of a why to get out, although it is very dangerous. Dillon gets into Scott's car. Ziggy tries to convince him that he can't go, but Dillon takes off in Scott's car. Generation 9 Amphibious Attack Bot has entered Corinth and sets forth dangerous fumes. Dr. K alerts the teens to the danger. Flynn, Summer, and Scott come racing down the stairs. Flynn checks with the computer to see what is going on. Scott notices right away that his car is missing. Summer gives a questioning look at Ziggy, and Ziggy can say nothing. They all know that Dillon took Scott's car, but there is no time as they need to fight off the robot. Meanwhile, Dillon waits as the propane gases go off and on. Dillon waits anxiously for the right time to make his break.
Red Ranger, Yellow Ranger, and Blue Ranger race off into the city to battle Generation 9 Amphibious Attack Bot. As the three Rangers face the robot, the robot summons several Grinders. The three Rangers are kept busy battling Grinders. Elsewhere, Dillon is still waiting for the right time to get out of the city. Meanwhile, a giant Generation 9 Amphibious Attack Bot attacks the city. The three Rangers use their weapons against the Grinders, but they are still in trouble and starting to run out of energy. Ziggy is aware of the battle and knows the Rangers are in trouble. Ziggy asks Dr. K how he can get into the radio frequency, because he wants Dillon to hear what is going on. Ziggy works quickly and soon Dillon can hear on the radio, how the Rangers are in trouble. Dillon realizes he does care and races off in his car to help the Rangers. Ziggy is very pleased. Dillon gets out of the car and morphs. Black Ranger tells the rest of the Rangers to take care of the big guy and he will take care of the Grinders. Yellow Ranger, Blue Ranger, and Red Ranger take off as Black Ranger battles numerous Grinders. The High Octane Megazord is formed and the three Rangers battle the giant robot. The three Rangers have a difficult time against the Generation 9 Amphibious Attack Bot.
The Rangers turn things around. Blue Ranger comes up with an idea about a weapon and soon the robot is destroyed. Elsewhere, Black Ranger destroyed all the Grinders and they lay in a pile of heap. Ziggy is excited, but Dr. K is still resentful. Red Ranger checks in with Black Ranger and he tells him he is okay. But Red Ranger wants to know the status of his car. Dillon doesn't answer and signs off.
