MARCUS
Marcus Truman - Fellis McGuire
Marcus Truman is the oldest son of Colonel Mason Truman and the older brother of Scott Truman. He was close to both of them. Marcus had a good sense of humor and achieve his goals with style. Marcus was the 1st Squad Leader of the Eagle Squadron. Marcus had been the only cadet to ever beat the flight simulator. Marcus and Colonel Truman were there when Scott attempted to beat the flight simulator. Scott had failed and commented that it was not fair. Colonel Truman told him if he wanted fair, he was in the wrong business. They all walked out together. Colonel Truman wanted Marcus to select a 2nd Squad Leader. Marcus tried stalling his dad. He told him he needed someone up there he could trust. Colonel Truman suggested several names, which Marcus rejected. Colonel Truman gave him a red confidential envelope and told him he wanted it on his desk that night with his suggestion. Colonel Truman walked away. Marcus knew who he wanted, his brother. Marcus wrote the note and tuck in Scott's application as well into the envelope. He kept the envelope with him. Later, Marcus held a briefing. Venjix's forces were strong and Corinth was ready to take in the civilians. Marcus' plane was equipped with a flux over thruster remote core. Marcus had no idea what it was, but he did know it would make his plane faster. They were to keep Venjix's forces away until the shield went up on the city. The skies would belong to the Eagle Squadron tonight. Marcus asked if there were any questions. Scott asked how they were supposed to get into the city with the shield up. Just then the building shook. Marcus asked his brother what was the matter, did he want to live forever. It was time to head up. Colonel Truman had asked Scott to hang back and not get in his brother's way. Up in the skies, the battle was fierce. Marcus made the decision to direct the attack towards him. Scott protested, but Marcus went ahead, telling the rest of the Squad to eject if they could. Marcus lead the Venjix's forces away. His plane was attacked and it burst into flames. A little over a year later, the red envelope would be found by Scott. Scott would leave it on his father's desk, so that his father would know that Marcus had faith in his younger brother.
