MR. MCALLISTAIR
Mr. McAllistair - Jason Hoyte
Mr. McAllistair is the father of Flynn. He is a mechanic and he likes to work on cars. When Flynn was a young boy, Mr. McAllistair did not have the same optimistic view that his son had. There was the time a battered young Flynn had come to the garage to talk to his dad. Flynn passed the tools to his dad as they talked. Mr. McAllistair: Flynn, my boy, what were you thinking? Flynn: I was thinking I could help. Mr. McAllistair: And look what that got you. Two weeks suspension. No good deed goes unpunished, lad. Remember that. Flynn was clutching his comic books, and Mr. McAllistair grabbed them and tossed them aside. Mr. McAllistair: What, you think you're one of these super heroes, out of one of your silly comics? What are you going to do with your life son? Dance around in silly colored tights? Trust me son. There's no such thing as superheroes. Time passed, and Flynn had graduated from school. Flynn came to see his father inside the garage. Mr. McAllistair was working on another car and asked Flynn what he was going to do. Flynn wanted to help people. Mr. McAllistair asked him how. Flynn tried various jobs, policemen, fireman, volunteer, and got dismissed from each one. Flynn returned to his father, with his dismissed papers in his hands. Mr. McAllistair was working on his car. Flynn told his father he was right, no good deed goes unpunished. Suddenly the building began to shake. Mr. McAllistair asked Flynn what was going on. It was Venjix's army attacking. Mr. McAllistair and Flynn managed to get onto a school bus that took them safely to Corinth City. They got off, along with the rest of the passengers. There was a mom who was pleading with anyone that would listen, that there were more people back there. They needed to go back. Mr. McAllistair ignored her. The mom kept walking and pleading with everyone she passed. The mom had a five year old daughter, named Penny. Flynn told his dad he was sorry and took off for the bus. Mr. McAllistair tried to stop him. Flynn told him it was who he was and drove the bus away. Mr. McAllistair waited for Flynn's return. Eventually Flynn did return with Penny and several more passengers. The passengers were all grateful to Flynn. Mr. McAllistair walked up to his son and asked him if he was proud of himself for helping people he didn't know. Mr. McAllistair told his son because he was. He had been telling Flynn there was no such thing as heroes, when he has been looking at one the whole time. Mr. McAllistair became even more proud of his son when he became the Blue RPM Power Ranger. Mr. McAllistair kept a scrapbook full of clippings of his son.
