SAM
Sam - Aaron James Murphy
Sam is an orphan living on the streets and has teleportation powers. He walked along the streets and spotted a group of kids playing basketball. The basketball had rolled away and Sam picked it up. Sam walked to the group of kids and asked them if he could play. The leader of the group told Sam that he was too little and told him to give back the ball. Sam questioned him as to what ball as he tossed the ball towards the hoop and then teleported the ball in a different direction. The leader of the group wanted to know where his ball was and Sam pointed in the direction of the ball. The leader of the group called Sam a freak and Sam replied that he should have let him play as he walked away. Sam heard a young girl's voice tell him that the group of kids were not very nice to him. Sam was rather startled to discover that the voice came from a doll sitting on a bench. Sam slowly sat down next to the doll who introduced herself as Cindy Sunshine and was impressed with Sam's special ability. Sam told her she was a doll, and Cindy Sunshine replied that she was much more than that. Cindy Sunshine wanted to be Sam's friend and asked him if he would do something for her. Sam agreed and Cindy Sunshine sent another of her "friends" to help Sam - Bugglesworth. Sam teleported Bugglesworth in his giant robot into the city. Bugglesworth was searching buildings to find one full of people. The Rangers appeared in their delta runners to try and stop Bugglesworth. Sam concentrated on making a building disappear when Z spotted him. Sam seemed to sense Z's interest and turned toward the Yellow Ranger. Z asked him what he was doing, but Sam gave no reply. Bugglesworth was ready to leave and Sam teleported Bugglesworth quickly out of harm's way. Sam returned to the area where the kids were playing earlier. The kids surrounded him and caused Sam to scarp his knee. Sam was laying on the group and looked up to see a circle of young faces glaring at him. The leader of the group demanded that Sam do what he had done earlier with the basketball. The leader of the group told Sam that he was making him look bad. Z appeared behind the leader and told him that he was doing a pretty good job of that on his own. The group of kids took off running. Z helped Sam to his feet. Sam was hesitant around Z and Z told him he had a pretty good scrap on his knee. Z asked Sam if it was okay if she put some water on it and Sam cautiously agreed. Sam glanced up and was surprised to see two Krybots jumping from above to attack Z. Sam used his teleportation powers to stop the Krybots in mid-air. Z noticed the Krybots and spotted Bugglesworth close by. Z asked Sam if Bugglesworth was his friend, but got no answer as Sam had disappeared. Later, Sam and Bugglesworth were searching for another building to transport. The Rangers appeared in their zord to battle Bugglesworth. Z quickly spotted Sam helping Bugglesworth. The Rangers had tried to handcuff Bugglesworth's robot, but Sam made the handcuffs appear on their zord instead. Z leaped out of the zord and demorph. Z called out to Sam and Sam took off running. Despite Z's pleads to stop, Sam kept running until he outmaneuvered Z. Sam sat at a park on a small wall with Cindy Sunshine. Cindy Sunshine asked him why he had run away and Sam replied that he had gotten scared. Cindy Sunshine told him that the Power Rangers were scary but he was a very powerful boy and the next time the Rangers....Cindy Sunshine didn't get to finish her sentence as Z shot a laser at her and knocked her off the wall. Sam jumped off the wall and was surprised to see Z. Z told him that she never liked dolls. Sam asked Z if she was a Power Ranger and Z told him she was. Z introduced herself and Sam told her his name. Sam told her that he had heard that the Power Rangers were very bad people. Z replied that you shouldn't believe everything a doll tells you. Z told Sam that she understood what it was like to be like him and demonstrated her special ability of cloning herself. Z also told Sam that she understood what it was like to want a friend so bad, you would do anything to have one. Sam told her that because he was different he had no friends and he didn't care. Z smiled and told him that she had said that very same thing more times than she could remember. Syd, Bridge, Jack, and Sky appeared. Sam became angry when he saw them. He told Z that she had lied about having no friends. In anger, Sam made several garbage cans move to above the Rangers' heads and dropped them before he took off. Sam went to Gold's junk yard and stayed there until he heard a vehicle pulled up. He heard Z's voice calling him and Sam appeared out of hiding spot. Z asked him to wait and he did. Sam asked Z who the guy was with her. Z introduced Jack to Sam and told him that he was like them and then had Jack demonstrated his ability of being able to pass through solid objects. Sam was not impressed and told them so what. Sam was more angry that Z and Jack had each other. Z told Sam that first they were along and that they found each other and now they had found him. Jack told Sam that he had a very unique gift and that it should be use to do good in the world. Bugglesworth appeared with Cindy Sunshine and called out to Sam to look at what he had. Z told Sam he knew who to trust. Cindy Sunshine replied this from the girl who had fried her. Sam walked over to Bugglesworth and Cindy Sunshine, much to the dismay of Z and Jack. Bugglesworth released another monster - Orangehead. Sam stayed behind Bugglesworth and became frightened as he watched Z and Jack battle Orangehead. Z and Jack eventually morphed and at one point, Z ran up to Bugglesworth and Sam and pleaded with Sam to come with them. Sam hesitated and Bugglesworth told Z not to worry, they would take good care of Sam. Jack was having trouble battling Orangehead and Z left to help him. Sam heard Z tell Jack that they had to help Sam and Sam stepped a little away from Bugglesworth.
Sam continued to watch Jack and Z battle Orangehead. The fight frighten Sam, but he did not help the Rangers. The rest of the Rangers appeared and Bugglesworth told Sam it was time for them to leave. Sam left with Bugglesworth. Z called out to Sam and Sam turned around. Continuing to walk with Bugglesworth, Sam teleported Z, Jack, and Orangehead to the beach before disappearing with Bugglesworth. Bugglesworth took Sam to Emperor Gruumm's ship where he met Mora. Sam sat in Mora's room as she became bored, bored, bored, and punch a few dolls around. Mora told Sam what would make her happy would be a SPD doll. Sam was not sure. Mora told Sam that he could lure Z and Bugglesworth could change her into a doll. Sam was very reluctant. Mora got down on her knees and begged Sam to help her and promising to be his best friend forever. Sam hesitated and then agreed. The Rangers were looking for Sam. Z was walking down an alleyway calling out Sam's name, when Sam teleported behind some rumble. He walked out and Z immediately spotted Sam and ran towards him. Z gave him a hug, although Sam did not return the embrace. He noticed that Z was dressed in civilian clothes and asked her why. Z told him that she had dressed in civilian clothes to show him that she wasn't any different than him. Z wanted to be his friend and Sam did not understand - she didn't even know him. Z told him that she would like to get to know him. Cindy Sunshine appeared and told Z you couldn't keep a good doll down. Bugglesworth appeared behind Z and Sam raised his hand - ready to teleport Z. Z told him that is the Troobians were his friends, she wouldn't stop him. Sam hesitated and remembered all Z's attempts at friendship. Sam asked her if she really wanted to be his friend and Z replied that she already was. This time it was Sam who ran to Z and hugged her. Cindy Sunshine wanted to puke and ordered Bugglesworth to attack. Z told Sam to hid and he did as Z battled Bugglesworth. Sam stepped out at one point and raised his and told Bugglesworth to stop. Bugglesworth wasn't frighten by the small boy and Sam soon hid again. Sam was shocked when Bugglesworth turned Z into a doll. Sam took off running and didn't realized he had run into Z. Sam was surprised and asked her how. Z told him that she replicated herself before Bugglesworth used his staff. Z reminded Sam that he wasn't the only one with problems. Sam told Z that he wanted to be like everyone else and Z told him that she understood but that they were not like other people. Z told Sam that if their powers, they had responsibility. Z also told Sam that she didn't have any friends either when she was young, but things got easier as she got older. This news made Sam feel better and he told Z that he wanted to use his powers for good. Z asked him how to change the dolls back to humans. Sam told her it was easy, just capture Bugglesworth. With a smile on her face, Z contacted the Rangers and told them she had found Sam. Unfortunately, Orangehead, Bugglesworth, and several Krybots found them first. Sam and Z took off running, but they were captured. Sam managed to break free but he did not want to leave Z behind. Z told him not to worry about her and to run. Sam did, but return. Sam teleported Bugglesworth's staff to his own hands and then drawing the alien's attention, smash it to the ground. After that Sam did take off running. Later, the Rangers took Sam to headquarters where Sam was accepted as a cadet. Sam enjoyed his new life and his new bike that the Rangers had got for him. Z told him that he had a lot of friends and Sam agreed, although he told them that they were old and weird. Sam told the Rangers that he was just kidding. Sam hoped to see them around the academy and wanted to be a Ranger just like them. Several cadets walked in and asked Sam if he was coming. Sam told the Rangers that his peeps were calling and left to join them with his new bike.
