Dogged

Z is reading and gets annoyed with Bridge. Bridge' offer of buttery toast does not appeased Z. Sydney walks in and wants to know if they have seen Peanuts. Neither Bridge or Z have seen Peanuts. RIC walks by with Peanuts in his mouth and Syd gets upset with RIC. Later, Syd walks up Bridge's room and notices that his computer is counting down. Bridge walks in and Syd, thinking the computer is going to explode, rushes Bridge out of his room. Bridge explains that his computer is actually counting down till the toast is ready. Syd gives Bridge his magazine, that she had gotten on accident. RIC comes over and Syd tries to shoo RIC away. Commander Cruger holds a meeting and tells the Rangers that several citizens have gone missing. Syd volunteers to search the area where the citizens have disappeared. RIC comes over and sniffs Syd's leg once again. Syd gets very annoyed with RIC and Commander Cruger confides that RIC would soon be obsolete. The Rangers, except Syd, are upset. Syd considers RIC just a machine and she thinks nothing of RIC going to the scrap heap. Syd leaves to investigate the area where the citizens have disappeared while the rest of the Rangers battle a monster and several Krybots. Syd becomes more annoyed when she discovers RIC is in the jeep with her. Syd commands RIC to stay while she talks to Piggy. Piggy gives her a little information and Syd gets a sample of some slime. Syd is startled when several Krybots attack. RIC leaps in front of Syd and takes a powerful blow. Syd rushes to RIC and is upset to see him in bad shape.
At headquarters, Kat is busy trying to analyze the fluid that Syd had found. Commander Cruger asks Kat what she has discovered, and Kat replies that there is definite human DNA in the fluid. Syd walks in and asks about RIC. Commander Cruger tells Syd the unpleasant news that RIC was heavily damaged and the parts needed to repair him are no longer available. Syd is upset when she walks out. Syd runs into a cadet with RIC on his cart. The cadet tells Syd that he is taking the parts to be recycle. Syd asks the cadet if he has sorted the various parts into different categories to be recycled and cadet hasn't. Syd tells him that she will take over and the cadet needs to read the recycling manual. Syd walks off with the cart and RIC. Syd goes to Bridge's room and finds Bridge and Boom standing on their heads - so that ideas will reach their brain faster. Syd asks them if they would like do an extreme upgrade and Bridge and Boom are excited over the challenge. Bridge and Boom work on RIC with Syd's supervision. Commander Cruger calls a meeting and tells Syd, Z, Sky, and Jack that more citizens have gone missing. Commander Cruger notices that Bridge is missing and asks where Cadet Carson is. Bridge and Boom entered the room and announced the entrance of RIC version 2.0. RIC walks in and Syd is excited and happy. Commander Cruger feels that the new version will not be fit for SPD work, but Syd is convince that RIC can still work for SPD. Syd lets RIC sniff the fluid sample and RIC bursts through a door in his hurry to find the source of the fluid. The Rangers get into their jeep and bikes and follow RIC. RIC stops at a field and sniffs the ground. The Rangers stop and Syd is excited that RIC has found the source of the fluid. Syd grabs a shovel out of the jeep and begins digging a hole where RIC was sniffing. The rest of the Rangers watch Syd in disbelief. Eventually the hole gets bigger, but Syd has found nothing. The Rangers are ready to head back to headquarters and even RIC is dejected that nothing had been found. Z, Bridge, Sky, and Jack leave with RIC. Syd stays behind and continues digging. Rain begins to fall and Syd continues digging while the rest of the Rangers are back at headquarters. Syd falls through the hole and lands in a room that is filled with jars of green fluid. Syd is excited and knows that RIC was right. Syd climbs out of the hole and encounters the monster. Syd morphs and she battles the monster. Back at headquarters, RIC senses something is wrong with Syd. The rest of the Rangers see on the viewing screen that Syd is battling a monster. RIC bursts through the door again as the rest of the Rangers follow in their vehicles. RIC leaps into the battle and the rest of the Rangers follow. The Rangers show Syd how RIC can form the Canine Cannon mode and use it to defeat the monster. The Rangers arrest the monster. The Rangers return to headquarters and are congratulating themselves on a job well done when they are summoned by Commander Cruger. The Rangers are concerned that they are in trouble, but instead they find themselves at ceremony commending RIC for a job well done.
