Mentor Ji watch and walked around as Kevin, Mia, Mike, and Emily trained outside.  Jayden is there, and he watches them as well.  Mentor Ji:  The life of a samurai must be one of discipline and order.  Samurai must constantly improve their skills, to ready themselves for battle.  Kevin accidentally hits Mike with his stick.  Jayden steps forward.  Jayden:  Are you okay?  Mike:  Of course.  Jayden:  Get into your opponent's head.  Use your instincts to sense their next move and feel their attack coming.  Kevin steps behind Jayden.  Jayden uses his stick to strike Kevin, but Kevin is ready for him.  Mike:  Wow Kevin, that's amazing!  Jayden then strikes Mike with his stick.  Jayden:  Mike, always keep your guard up.  Mentor Ji:  Mike, let me ask you...Jayden strikes Mike from behind.  Mike:  Hey, that's not fair!  you distracted me.  Mike realizes what they are doing.  Mike:  Okay, I get it.  Let me try again.  One more time.  Mike and Jayden get into fight positions and the sparring begins.  Mikes does a flip as Jayden is about to strike.  Jayden then hits Mike on the back of his leg.  Jayden:  Now watch this.  Jayden then demonstrates once more with Kevin.  During the demonstration, Kevin's pants fall down.  Mia and Emily laugh as Kevin quickly pulls his pants back up.  Emily notices Mike.  Emily:  Hey!  Where did Mike go? Everyone looks around, but no one has any answers.  Later that day, Mentor Ji walks into a room, where Jayden is playing with his Lion folding zord.  Mentor Ji asks Jayden if he has seen Mike?  Jayden tells him no and asks what is going on?  Mentor Ji replies no one has seen him since he left practice this morning.  Jayden asks where did he go?  Mentor Ji doesn't have an answer for him.  Later, the teens returned after battling Rofer.  Mike had gotten hurt during the battle.  Mia and Emily clean up and bandaged Mike.  Mentor Ji, Jayden, and Kevin are there as well.  Mentor Ji tells Mike thank goodness you were there.  You prevented that Nighlok from injuring lots of people.  Mike thought he could take him on his own.  Kevin tells him that was brave of him, but imagine what could have happened.  Mike replies I know.  Jayden reminds Mike that being a samurai is the ultimate sacrifice.  Sine we are fighting evil. you must stay away from your family and friends, in order to keep them safe.  Mike realizes that now.  Mike wants to at least check on his friends and walks out. Mentor Ji is not too sure about this, but Jayden gives him a nod of approval.  The following day, the Rangers had battled and destroyed Rofer.  The teens returned to their base.  Mentor Ji is waiting for them.  Everyone, except Mike, is in high spirits.  Jayden tells Mike good work.  Kevin adds you were great.  Mia tells him the way you tricked that Nighlok was beyond creative.  Emily does a wacky arm demonstration as she tells Mike you was so cool how you use his wacky arms against him.  Mike tells them the truth is, I did trick him, but it wasn't enough.  Actually Jayden helped me defeat him.  I only anticipated the attack of one of the arms, Jayden got the other one.  I couldn't have done it without him.  Jayden tells him we can do anything as a team.  Jayden places his hand in the middle of the circle they have formed.  Mia quickly places her hand on top of Jayden's.  Emily places her hand on top.  Kevin does the same and finally mike.  They shout together - Rangers Together!  Samurai Forever!

Mentor Ji was out in the courtyard of the Shiba House.  Kevin and Emily were sparring.  Jayden and Mia were practicing their martial arts moves with their stick.  Mike was working on his power symbols.  Mentor Ji watched as eventually Kevin stopped sparring and talked to Emily, then Mike, and then Mia, making sure they were okay.  Mike walked up to Mentor Ji and Jayden.  Mike:  What's up with Kevin?  Why is he so worried about everyone?  Mentor Ji:  I don't know.  He's been like that since yesterday.  Later, Mentor Ji and Mia were setting up the meal when Kevin walked in.  Kevin immediately walked over to them.  Kevin:  Here!  Let me help.  Kevin took the bowls and placed them on the small individual tables.  The sensor went off.  Mia:  The gap sensor!  Mentor Ji presses his hand down on a large coffee table and a map appears.  Mia:  A Nighlok has crossed into our world.  The teens took off.  The next day, the Power Rangers destroyed Doubletone with the Samurai Megazord.

Mentor Ji was outside, walking towards an area that Jayden was practicing in.  Jayden just got knocked down from the power he was trying to master and he hit the ground hard.  Mentor Ji walked over to where his Spin Sword landed and picked it up.  Mentor Ji:  You're not ready to use the beetle disc yet.  You're literally playing with fire.  Jayden, you must be prepared to give 100% of yourself.  Not just physically, but mentally.  Jayden propped himself up by his elbows.  Jayden:  But I'm giving 110%.  Mentor Ji:  Yes.  But you're lacking balance in your life.  You're pushing yourself too hard.  And that's not letting you be at your best.  Jayden struggled, but managed to get back up on his feet.  Jayden walked towards Mentor Ji.  Jayden:  Yeah.  Maybe I am pushing myself hard.  But I'm the Red Ranger now.  I have to be the best and keep getting better.  Jayden took his Spin Sword from Mentor Ji and got into a fight stance.  Mentor Ji:  I understand why you stayed behind today.  But there was a time when you were younger when we both trained hard.  But you still allowed yourself to have fun.  I know you wanted to go with the others.  Jayden:  The Nighlok grow stronger.  I must master this beetle disc before its too late.  Mentor Ji:  The responsibility you bear is great.  But while you need to master the disc, you also need to master balance in your life as a Samurai.  Jayden walks a little away and starts practicing once more.  Mentor Ji watches him for a minute and walks away.  Later, Mike, Emily, Mia, Kevin, and Jayden returned to the base after a difficult battle with Dreadhead.  Mentor Ji was with them.  Everyone, except Kevin and Mike, was sitting.  Mike:  Man, that monster was working some bad mojo.  Mike sat down.  Mia:  I don't mean to sound like that Nighlok, but our Spin Swords and symbol power were, well, useless.  Kevin:  It's scary to think what he could have done to use if he hadn't dried out.  Emily:  No thanks.  I rather think about how we can beat him.  Mentor Ji:  Exactly Emily.  Mentor Ji stood up.  Mentor Ji:  Fear is the enemy.  If you believe in yourselves you can win any battle.  Confidence is what brings power.  Mike:  You weren't there.  Our weapons couldn't touch him.  Jayden stood up.  Jayden:  That's not true.  Don't' forget, we did injure him.  Jayden walks to the front of the room and then turns around and faces his friends.  Jayden:  I'm working on mastering a new power.  Jayden pulls out the beetle disc.  Mia, Emily, and Mike stood up.  Kevin:  A new disc!  What is it?  Mentor Ji:  There are secret discs.  Passed down from previous generations of Samurai.  Jayden:  Most have been lost in battle.  This may be the only one left.  Mentor Ji walks over to stand by Jayden.  Jayden tells his friends with this, we at least stand a chance of beating the Nighlok.  Mentor Ji adds however, in order to master the disc, one needs double the samurai power they already have.  Jayden tells them not to worry, just focus on recovery.  Mike is skeptical - twice as much power?  Can you really handle that?  Jayden replies confidently thanks to Ji, I have been trained to believe I can do anything I put my mind to.  Mentor Ji nods his head in agreement.  But Mike is still skeptical.  he asks Jayden why didn't you use it earlier?  Jayden feels bad and replies next time.  Jayden walks away.  Night falls and there is a full moon.  Mentor Ji is walking outside, when he spots Jayden training.  Mentor Ji hides by a large rock and watches.  Jayden is using his Fire Smasher and trying to master the beetle disc.  It is a struggle for him.  The power hits him and sends him flying.  Jayden lands on the ground hard.  Mentor Ji is worried about Jayden.  Jayden drags himself towards the Fire Smasher.  Jayden tires once more to master the beetle disc.  It is still very difficult for him.  Jayden gets thrown once more.  Jayden struggles to stand up.  Jayden tries once more with the beetle disc and Fire Smasher.  Mentor Ji stands up and tells Jayden he can do this.  I know you can.  Jayden screams as he tries to master the power of the beetle disc.  The following day, Dreadhead is attacking the city.  Jayden has fallen asleep from exhaustion.  He is still outside in the are he was training at.  Mentor Ji comes running up.  Mentor Ji asks Jayden if he is okay, but gets no response.  Mentor Ji hesitates waking him up.  He thinks to himself that Jayden should have given it a rest.  Just like when you were a kid, you insisted on doing things until you go sick.  You will never stop trying to save others.  Mentor Ji wakes up Jayden.  Mentor Ji tells Jayden the Nighlok is back.  It takes a bit for Jayden to wake up.  he is still very tired.  He slowly gets to his feet and leans on his Fire Smasher.  Jayden tells Mentor Ji time to clash again and then takes off.  Later, Dreadhead is destroyed by the Beetle Blaster Megazord.
