Out in the courtyard of Shiba House, Red Ranger and Blue Ranger are sparring with their Spin Swords. Mentor Ji, Mike, Mia, and Emily are watching them. Mike: He's got mad skill. I'm impressed. Mentor Ji: Yes. Jayden's one of the best that's ever been. Mike: I was talking about Kevin. He's right up there with Jayden. Mentor Ji looked surprised. They continued to watch the two Rangers. Emily: He's so graceful with the sword. Mentor Ji grinned. Mentor Ji: Yes. Jayden's always had that quality. Even as a child. Emily: I meant Kevin. Mentor Ji was really taken aback. Mia: Kevin's technique is better. Mentor Ji stepped forward and faced them. Mentor Ji: They are both excellent swordsmen. Practice sparring is one thing, but true skills shown in battle, is what really counts. Mike: I'd hate to see what would happen if they really had to battle each other. Mia laughs. Mia: That would never happen. Nothing could ever make Kevin fight against a fellow Ranger. Emily agreed - Kevin's is true blue. The practice ends with Red Ranger making a strike against Blue Ranger. Blue Ranger tells Red Ranger, good match. I obviously need more practice. Red Ranger tells Blue Ranger not to beat himself up over a lost point. Blue Ranger agrees and suggests they go again. Red Ranger and Blue Ranger practice with their Spin Swords once more.
Master Xandred demands to know what Deker is doing on his ship. Octoroo and Dayu are there as well. Master Xandred thinks Deker expects a reward for saving Dayu. Dayu is insulted. I didn't need saving. Deker replies, this isn't about her. I want to go after Red Ranger. The new leader of the Samurai, but I'm not looking to interfere with any of your plans. Master Xandred walks over to Deker and tells him to do what you will. My head is pounding. I can only deal with one headache at a time. Deker notes that Master Xandred is still suffering from when the last Red Ranger sealed you down here. Master Xandred vows everyone of those Samurai Rangers will pay for my pain! Master Xandred walks across the ship and sits down. He tells Deker, when we make the Sanzu River overflow, I'll watch all of them sink to the bottom. Deker replies, so you have nothing else planned. Octoroo gets fed up with Deker and tells him he answered you, now go! Deker starts to head out. Deker tells Master Xandred to rest well and I shall continue my quest without worry. Deker is almost out the door when Madimot walks in. Madimot declares he is the star around here. Bye bye Deker! Octoroo tells Madimot to get lost - you're nothing but talk! Madimot claims he has brought a present that is bigger and badder than Deker. Madimot can tell Octoroo doesn't believe him and suggests he take a look. Deker walks out. Octoroo calls out to Deker to wait, but Deker leaves. Madimot gives a sarcastic bye. He tells Octoroo, he will forget about that rogue when he looks outside. Dayu, Octoroo, and Madimot walk over to the windows. Dayu can't believe it. Madimot boasts, I've got the Red Ranger's long lost Tiger Zord. Tiger Zord sits on the surface and gives a roar.
Bulk and Spike are hiking through the woods. They ran across other hikers in the woods as they walk along. Bulk tells Spike that a Samurai needs to face his fear. Spike bumps into a tree. Bulk continues, nature is our friend. Bulk pulls a branch of tree towards him and sniffs it. He then releases the branch, which hits Spike and knocks him down. Spike manages to catch up with Bulk. He tells his uncle that he is scare of bears. Bulk doesn't think bears live in this neck of the woods. Lose the bear spray. What you should have brought....Bulk reaches into his vest pocket and pulls out mosquito repellent and shows it to Spike.
