MITCH

Mitch - Zachary Bostrom

Mitch is a photographer for the Silver Hills Inquisitor.  Mitch managed to snap pictures of the Power Rangers battling a mutant.  He had gotten some great shots and he was very pleased with himself.  Mitch left and eagerly went to find Mr. Hampton - the editor of the paper.  Mitch showed Mr. Hampton the pictures he had taken.  Mr. Hampton told Mitch that they were good, but he had seen them before.  Mr. Hampton wanted something different to offer his readers.  Mr. Hampton wanted Mitch to find out the identities of the Power Rangers.  Mr. Hampton told Mitch that if he found out the identities of the Power Rangers, he would have a top floor office, but any more pictures like these and he would be fired.  Mr. Hampton gave Mitch the pictures back.  The following day, Mitch went to Nick of Time Odd Jobs.  Two young women, Jen and Katie, greeted him.  Mitch told them that he needed someone strong who can lift heavy photographer equipment and quick on their feet.  Jen introduced Mitch to Katie.  Mitch and Katie loaded up his van.  Katie was very excited, she had never been on a photo assignment.  They got into the van and Mitch told her that she will really like this assignment - to find out the identities of the Power Rangers.  As they drove along, Mr. Hampton contacted Mitch over the CB.  Mr. Hampton told Mitch that there was a mutant attack and where there was a mutant, there were Power Rangers.  Mitch grin and quickly drove to the scene.  Mitch and Katie hid behind some bushes and Mitch began snapping photos of the Power Rangers battling another mutant.  After awhile, Mitch asked Katie to pass him the long lens.  When he got no response, he turned around and saw that Katie was gone.  With no time to waste, Mitch grabbed the long lens, attached it to the camera, and began shooting again.  The Yellow Ranger had just appeared and joined in the battle.  The mutant managed to get away.  Much to Mitch's disappointment, the Power Rangers did not demorph and he didn't get any shots of them without their helmets.  Mitch walked back to the van and was surprised to see Katie there.  He asked her where she had gone.  Katie told Mitch that she had gone back to get more film, but couldn't open the van.  Mitch showed her how and Katie told him that she felt really stupid.  Katie asked Mitch if he had gotten the shot he wanted and Mitch told her no, but that there was always next time.  Mitch and Katie returned to the Silver Hills Inquisitor office.  They were in the dark room.  Katie was looking over Mitch's shots of animals and told him that they were really good.  Mitch told her that was the kind of photography he would like to do.  Katie asked him why he didn't.  Mitch told Katie that the Inquisitor didn't pay for animal shots.  Katie joked back unless it was a three headed dog.  Mitch laughed and told Katie that he knew some of their stories were ridiculous, but they didn't hurt anyone.  Katie told Mitch that maybe exposing the Rangers identities would endanger their mission.  Mitch thought about it for a moment and then told Katie that it was not his problem.  They walked out of the dark room and Mitch gave Katie some money and asked her to go and get some lunch.  Mitch was at his desk when Mr. Hampton ran up.  There was another mutant attack and Mr. Hampton gave Mitch the address of the attack.  Mitch took off and was soon snapping the Power Rangers battling the earlier mutant.  There was a explosion and Mitch couldn't believe his eyes when he saw that the Rangers had demorph.  He started snapping away and walking slowly more and more closer to them.  Mitch snapped shots of Wes, Lucas, Trip, and Jen.  He hesitate when he saw one of the Rangers was Katie.  Katie pleaded with him not to snap the picture.  Mitch slowly raise the camera to his face and snap the pictures.  He then took off running.  Mitch was back in the dark room and developing the roll of film.  He smiled as he looked at the photos of Lucas, Trip, Jen, and Wes.  The smile left when he reached the photo of Katie.  Mitch decided to go ahead and give the pictures to Mr. Hampton.  He put them in an envelope and started for his office.  Mitch ran into Katie - who silently pleaded with Mitch, but Mitch continued.  Mr. Hampton was not in his office and Mitch asked his secretary if she would make sure that Mr. Hampton got the envelope.  Mitch headed towards the elevators and entered.  Within moments, the earlier mutant began attacking the building.  Mitch was trapped in the elevator.  He tried to pry open the doors, but they would only open a little.  Mitch started yelling for help.  Katie arrived and Mitch told her he was trapped.  The elevator began to slip, and Mitch pleaded with Katie not to let go.  The elevator soon began to fall and only Katie grabbing the cables, managed to slow the elevator down.  Mitch landed safely and looked up.  Katie yelled down that she would be right down.  Katie helped Mitch out of the elevator.  Mitch couldn't believe that Katie would help him after what he had done.  Katie told him that was what the difference was between them, Mitch only thought of himself.  Katie left to help the rest of the Rangers.  Mitch was left to ponder Katie's words.  The following day, Mitch knocked on the door of Nick of Time Odd Jobs.  Jen answered and asked him what he wanted.  Mitch told Jen that he wanted to see Katie, and Jen told him that Katie didn't want to see him.  Mitch insisted and was let in.  He noticed all the packing and asked them what they were doing.  Katie told him that now their identities was exposed, they were no longer safe.  Mitch told Katie that was what he had come to tell her.  Lucas burst in and show them the Silver Hills Inquisitor - with a headline about aliens being discovered in a salad.  The Rangers were not in the paper.  Mitch gave Katie the envelop with their pictures and told her that he had gotten the envelope back before Mr. Hampton had seen it.  Mitch reassure Katie that their identities was safe with him.  Katie asked him about his job.  Mitch told her that he quit and that he was going to start taking the kind of pictures he liked.  Mitch and Katie smiled at each other.
