MR. COLLINS
Mr. A. Collins - Edward Laurence Albert
Mr. Collins is a wealthy man grooming his son, Wes, to take his position in the business world. Mr. Collins runs Bio Labs. Mr. Collins was getting ready to go to a board meeting when he spotted Wes. He told Wes that he hoped he was ready as he disliked being late for meetings. Jen and Phillips were in the grand hall as well. Wes told his dad that he couldn't go to the meeting because he had a date. Mr. Collins turned around and faced Wes and Jen. Wes had pulled Jen to his side and told his dad that he couldn't back out of this commitment and introduced Jen to his father. Mr. Collins looked Jen from head to toe - she was dressed in her Time Force Officer uniform and wasn't impressed. He told her charmed. Wes pulled Jen along and they headed out the door together. Mr. Collins watched them and turned to Phillips with a sour look on his face. Phillips wisely said nothing.
Mr. Collins was walking with Wes. The limo was parked and they were just outside a park. Mr. Collins was telling Wes that Harvard was a good school. He also told him that nothing can replace work experience. A baseball came flying past and hit the limo as Phillips was polishing it. Mr. Collins got the baseball in held it in his hand. A young boy, Frankie, walked up and apologized. Frankie asked for the ball back, but Mr. Collins told him he didn't think so, he was keeping the ball to teach him a lesson. Frankie was upset and Mr. Collins told him to go. Frankie walked away to join his group of friends. Wes told his dad that Frankie was just a kid. Mr. Collins replied that he was a kid who just learned a lesson. He tossed the ball to Wes and told him to get rid of it. Phillips drove Mr. Collins away in the limo. Later, in his mansion, Mr. Collins was preparing to buy out two companies for ten million dollars. Wes walked in and told his father that it was important that he talked to him. Mr. Collins tried to shoo him away, telling him after the meeting. Wes angrily told him it couldn't wait. Mr. Collins got up and walked out and joined Wes in the hall. He told Wes that it had better be important because he had an important meeting that he had just interrupted. Wes told his dad that the group of kids in the park had been kidnapped and the ransom was for ten million dollars. Mr. Collins told Wes that he hoped that Wes didn't expect him to give the money. Wes insisted that his dad help, but Mr. Collins refused, telling him it was a matter for the police. Mr. Collins walked back into his office and told the group that ten million dollars was a lot of money, but it was worth it for their companies. In front of Wes, he wrote a check for ten million dollars and gave it to a young man. Later, Wes would trick the young man out of the money and use it for ransom that Nadira demanded. Later, Wes returned to the mansion with the money. Mr. Collins was furious and angrily told his son that the money had all better be in the briefcase. Mr. Collins checked the briefcase and counted the money and was relieved that money was all there. Wes tried to explain how he used it to help the kids, but Mr. Collins didn't care. His phone buzzed and a secretary told him that reporters were here. Mr. Collins was leery and wondered what Wes had done. He walked down the stairs towards the reporters. The reporters asked him if the ransom money had been his. Mr. Collins thought for a moment and then replied that technically it had been his money. The reporters were touched and Mr. Collins told them that the important thing was the little tykes were okay. Wes then told the reporters that his dad was not going to keep the money, but donate it to the children's home. The reporters were impressed. Wes then told his dad that he was going to follow his own dreams and walked out the front door. Mr. Collins watched him go with a small smile on his face.
Mr. Collins held a press conference, along with Dr. Levoy, to unveiled his latest weapon to protect Silver Hills, Raimei. Mr. Collins and Dr. Levoy lead the press to the lab at Bio-Labs. During the press conference, several Cyclobots and Izout broke into the lab. Mr. Collins, Dr. Levoy, and several scientists, and press people were cornered as Izout asked a Cyclobot to take a container of Zirium power. Mr. Collins watched as the Cyclobot took the power. Blue Ranger and Red Ranger appeared and soon the people were taken to safety. Mr. Collins made sure everyone was out the door before he himself left. Red Ranger watched Mr. Collins very intently and almost called out to his dad. Later, Mr. Collins had a meeting with Dr. Levoy. He wanted to know why the Cyclobot had taken the powder. Dr. Levoy did not know, as he told Mr. Collins it was simply a waste product. Dr. Levoy left and Mr. Collins sat deep in thought - he knew there had to be more to the powder than what they knew. Later, Dr. Levoy burst into Mr. Collins' office and told him that the city was under attack. Mr. Collins and Dr. Levoy rushed to the lab. Dr. Levoy immediately got Raimei online. Mr. Collins was confident that Raimei would be able to defeat Tronicon. At first everything appeared to be going well and even the Power Rangers were helping Raimei. Tronicon, powered by the Trizirium crystal, was more powerful than the Raimei and soon had it destroyed. Dr. Levoy hollered at the pilots to get out. Mr. Collins was deeply disappointed that Raimei did not work.
Mr. Collins was driving in his car when he noticed a group of young people working. He recognized one of the young people as his son and asked the driver to pull over. Mr. Collins noted that Wes and his friends were picking up trash. Wes walked to the car and Mr. Collins lowered his window. Wes said hi to his dad. Mr. Collins didn't waste any time, asking his son if this is way he left home, to pick up other people's trash. Trip had walked up as well and defended Wes by telling Mr. Collins that Wes did more than pick up trash. Wes held up his hand to silence Trip. Mr. Collins told Wes that he had never been more disappointed, rolling the window back up, and having the driver drive away. Later, Mr. Collins held another press conference. This time he was introducing the Silver Guardians. A group of men and women trained to protect the city. Although one reporter discovered that the silver guardians only protected clients that had paid them. Later, after a successful mission from the Silver Guardians, Mr. Collins gave them a pep talk. After the talk, he walked along until a young man approached him. The young man told Mr. Collins that he was Eric Myers and that he had gone to prep school with his son. Eric continued that he knew Wes had left, and that he had run into him and could help him find him. Mr. Collins told Eric that it was true that Wes had left, but he was not looking for him and then walked away. Later, Mr. Collins was riding in his car when a mutant, Univolt, was attacking the city. Mr. Collins had the car stopped and watched the Power Ranger battling Univolt. He muttered that he should have known the Power Rangers would be here. Mr. Collins watched as the Red Ranger was tossed by Univolt. Moments later, the Silver Guardians appeared. Mr. Collins watched intently as the Silver Guardians tried to get Univolt to stand down. The Red Ranger tried to stop the Silver Guardians, telling them that the mutant was too powerful. The Silver Guardians pushed the Red Ranger aside and continued firing upon Univolt. Commander Porter was in danger and Red Ranger stood in front of Commander Porter and took the powerful blow meant for the Commander. Red Ranger laid still on the ground and several Silver Guardians were scattered on the group as well. The Silver Guardians weakly got up and one lead Commander Porter away. Mr. Collins received a shock when the Red Ranger stood up, his visor shattered, and he recognized his son's face. Mr. Collins quickly got out of the car and walked over to his side. He asked him why he didn't tell him that he was a Power Ranger. Wes told him that all his life he had did what his father wanted, but now he was going to do what he wanted. Wes walked away to join the other Rangers. Mr. Collins yelled at Wes, don't you dare walk away from him while I'm talking to you. Wes paid him no attention and joined the rest of the Rangers in capturing Univolt. Mr. Collins watched as his son walked away with the rest of the Rangers. The following day, Mr. Collins arrived in his car. He had located his son and his friends picking up trash. Mr. Collins asked if they could have a private conversation. Mr. Collins offered Wes the position of commander in his Silver Guardians. Wes turned his father down, telling him he was only doing it for money and asking him how much was enough. Frustrated, Mr. Collins told his son that he wished he understood him. Wes told him that he hoped that one day he would as well. Mr. Collins and Wes walked away from each other in opposite directions.
Eric Myers wanted to be the leader of the Silver Guardians and approached Mr. Collins about the position. Mr. Collins gave the job to someone else, telling Eric that he didn't know him. Later, Eric would become the Quantum Ranger. Eric also had the T-Rex zord, but was unable to control it and the T-Rex attacked the city. Once again, Mr. Collins was approach by Eric. Eric told him that he was a Ranger and had the T-Rex. Mr. Collins told him he was interested in the Rangers, but he was looking at four Rangers, and he wanted someone who could control his zord. Later, Mr. Collins entered the Nick of Time Odd Jobs. Lucas, Jen, Katie, and Trip were there. They assumed that Mr. Collins wanted to see Wes, who was not there. Mr. Collins told them that he wanted to talk to them. Mr. Collins offered to hire them to work for him and alongside the Silver Guardians. Jen, Katie, Trip, and Lucas refused. Later, Eric gained control of the T-Rex. Eric returned to Mr. Collins' office and told him what he had done. Mr. Collins was impressed and told him it was nice to see someone with some ambition. Mr. Collins gave the leadership of the Silver Guardians to Eric. Eric walked out of Mr. Collins' office with a grin. Mr. Collins smiled as well, please to have someone as ambitious as he is.
Mr. Collins held another press conference. At the press conference he announced that the Quantum Ranger was now the leader of the Silver Guardians. He also introduced Dr. Michael Zaskins and told the press that Dr. Zaskins would be working on the quantum technology to make it available to all the Silver Guardians. Later, Mr. Collins was in his office on a phone call, when Eric walked in. Eric told Mr. Collins that Dr. Zaskins had been taken. Mr. Collins was alarmed - fearing that the Quantum technology would fall into the wrong hands. He told Eric that he wanted Dr. Zaskins back as soon as possible. Later, Eric returned to Mr. Collins' office to tell him that the Silver Rangers had single-handily rescue Dr. Zaskins. Eric had omitted the part where the Power Rangers had been there as well. Mr. Collins told Eric that he could see that he had chosen the right leader and dismiss Eric. Eric began to walk out and then turned around and told Mr. Collins that Dr. Zaskins was unharmed. Not concern, and in an off hand manner, Mr. Collins replied that was good to know.
In his office, Mr. Collins congratulated Dr. Zaskins on the new mega battle mode on the quantum morpher. Dr. Zaskins replied that he couldn't take any credit as he didn't know how the morpher acquired the new data. Mr. Collins was surprised. He turned to Eric and asked him if he had any information. Eric replied no and then lowered his head. Mr. Collins contemplated Eric for a moment and then turned back to Dr. Zaskins. He told Dr. Zaskins that they had to find out more about the quantum powers.
Mr. Collins was meeting with several other men in his office when Eric walked in. Mr. Collins glanced up and Eric stepped aside and Wes walked in. Mr. Collins was surprised to see Wes. He told the other men to excuse him and they walked out of the office. Wes walked up to his dad and told him that he needed his help. Mr. Collins was taken aback. He told Wes that he hadn't seen him for awhile and when he does, he asks for help. Wes told him this was more important, it was to help the people being attacked by Venomark. Wes put down a shattered vial and told Mr. Collins that the serum inside could cure people and Bio-Labs was the only company that could make it quickly enough. Mr. Collins held up the vial and immediately saw the potential in producing the serum and making a fortune. Mr. Collins gave the go ahead on production of the serum which immediately hit the streets and started curing the people attacked by Venomark.
Mr. Collins was in another meeting in his office. The two men were reporting a profit among the serum and a huge success with the Silver Guardians. They suggested that they raise their rates and hire one-hundred more men. Mr. Collins told the two men that Eric could make all the decision regarding the Silver Guardians, as he trusted him completely. Mr. Collins walked out of the office. Later, Mr. Collins was at his lab, ready to leave with Eric, when he spotted his son, Wes. Mr. Collins smiled at first, but then the smile left his face when he saw Wes with the container full of the serum. Mr. Collins asked him what he was doing. Wes thanked his dad for helping him, but he needed the serum back and reminded his father that it didn't belong to him. Mr. Collins told Wes that maybe the serum didn't belong to him initially, but it did now. Mr. Collins had Eric take the container and lock it up. Later, Bio-Labs was under attack by Ransik, Severax, and hundreds of Cyclobots. Mr. Collins was lead away by two Silver Guardians. They were confront in the hall by several Cyclobots. The Silver Guardians fought the Cyclobots as Mr. Collins got away. He ended up in the lab. Mr. Collins watched in amazement as Ransik's body mutated and then Ransik took the serum and he was cured. Ransik saw Mr. Collins and told him to step out of the way. Mr. Collins angrily told Ransik that he had tried to destroy his son. Mr. Collins told Ransik that if he had known that the serum would help him, he would have pour it down the drain himself. Ransik mocked Mr. Collins, calling him the proud father when he knew that Mr. Collins had thrown his son out of his life. Mr. Collins told Ransik that he had tried to plan his son's life, but Wes had decided to make his own path and he would always been proud of him. Ransik blasted Mr. Collins. Mr. Collins was thrown and landed on the floor hurt. He was unconscious as he was taken to the Silver Hills hospital and worked on immediately.
The following day, Mr. Collins struggled to catch his breath. He was having difficulty trying to breath and soon he felt like he was going away. Moments later, energy began to surge through Mr. Collins' body and he could breath again. Mr. Collins caught a fuzzy outline of his son and close his eyes. Moments later several doctors and nurses burst into his room, and were surprised to see him so alert. The doctor asked Mr. Collins how he was feeling and Mr. Collins replied that he was feeling marvelous. He laid against the pillows marveling over the fact that his son had saved him. Later, Mr. Collins, sitting in a wheelchair had entered his room and saw Wes crying against his bed. Mr. Collins called out Wes softly and Wes slowly turned around. Wes was stunned to see that his dad was okay. Mr. Collins grinned as Wes asked him how. Mr. Collins told him how he had struggled to catch his breath and couldn't. How he felt like he was going away and then he saw Wes and he knew that everything was going to be okay. Wes was surprised and questioned his dad about seeing him - Wes had been battling Dragontron at the time. Mr. Collins confirm that he had saw Wes. Wes realized that his father had really seen Alex, but did not tell Mr. Collins that. Mr. Collins told Wes that he had heard that Wes had taken over while he was ill. Wes told him that he had. Mr. Collins told him that he was very proud of him. Wes tried to talk, but his father interrupted. He told Wes, that for once, listen to him. Mr. Collins told Wes that he appreciated him taking over, but his place was with the Rangers. Wes was stunned that his father supported him and Mr. Collins smiled at him.
Mr. Collins soon returned to work. He was sitting in his office when Dr. Zaskins walked in. Dr. Zaskins was very excited and told Mr. Collins that they have found a use for the power. Dr. Zaskins gave Mr. Collins two halves of a crystal and told him that the power can be use to make the Trizirium crystal. Mr. Collins placed the two halves together and the glow from the crystal was very strong. Mr. Collins grinned as Dr. Zaskins told him that the power from the Trizirium crystal would be enough to power up an entire city. Mr. Collins had Dr. Zaskins begin work immediately on the Trizirium crystal. Later, Wes walked into his dad's office. Mr. Collins was very happy to see him and gave him a big hug. Wes told his dad that he looked great. Wes also told his dad that he had something to tell him, that he should have told him a long time ago. Mr. Collins braced himself for the news and told Wes to go ahead. Wes told Mr. Collins that his four friends were from the future. Mr. Collins smiled at first, until he realized that Wes was serious. Wes told Mr. Collins that they were from the year 3000 and that he was helping them to capture Ransik. Wes told Mr. Collins that he would have to stop his research on the Trizirium crystal. Mr. Collins was upset and asked Wes why. Wes told him it wasn't suppose to be invented for another thousand years, and it could seriously jeopardized the future. Mr. Collins was torn. Wes' morpher went off and Jen appeared in a hologram. Mr. Collins was startled to see this form of technology. Wes had to go and help the Rangers' fight. Mr. Collins watch his son leave, unsure of what to do. Later, Mr. Collins would have Eric return the power and Trizirium crystal to Wes, with his word that the research on the Trizirium crystal has been stopped.
Mr. Collins was outside his home, eating breakfast when Wes arrived. Mr. Collins was happy to see his son and offered him some breakfast. Wes refused. They sat down and Mr. Collins told him that he should bring his friends around his home. Wes interrupted him and told him that he had something important to say. Mr. Collins paused and Wes told him how proud he was to be his son. Mr. Collins told Wes that made him happy. Wes told him that he had to leave. Mr. Collins sense something else was going on. He called to his son and asked him if everything was okay. Wes turned around and told his dad that everything was fine and that he had to go. Mr. Collins watch his son leave, puzzled over his appearance and quick departure.
Mr. Collins rode in his limo through the ravage torn city of Silver Hills. He kept his searching out his window for any sign of Wes and getting more anxious with no sight of Wes. Mr. Collins' phone rang and he answered it. Dr. Zaskin was on the phone. Dr. Zaskin told him that they found out what was causing the time vortexes to open. Doomtron and Q-Rex both operated on Trizirium crystals. The energy from the two crystals battling each other was causing the time vortexes to open. Mr. Collins thanked Dr. Zaskin for the information. Mr. Collins had Philips stop the limo. Mr. Collins got out and continued his search. A Silver Guardian approached him and told him that the Cyclobots have taken over the city. Mr. Collins asked him if he had seen the Rangers and the Silver Guardian replied no. Mr. Collins had the Silver Guardian move on. Mr. Collins spotted a woman with her young son. He removed his jacket and walked over towards them. Mr. Collins wrap his jacket around the young boy and told his mother that his limo would take them to the hospital. Mr. Collins carried the boy to the limo and gently placed him in. The mother gratefully thanked Mr. Collins. Mr. Collins told her that the hospital would take good care of them. Mr. Collins urged Philips to drive to the hospital. Mr. Collins continued his search for Wes on foot. He walked through several blocks of rubble but still had not seen Wes. Mr. Collins began yelling out Wes' name, but he still had no success. Exhausted, Mr. Collins stopped for a moment and clung onto some rubble for support. With his head hung down, he didn't not see the Cyclobots approaching until it was too late. Mr. Collins had just glanced up when suddenly the Red Ranger and Quantum Ranger appeared. The Rangers soon had the Cyclobots knocked down. The Rangers demorph as Mr. Collins called out Wes' and Eric's name. Wes and Eric walked over to Mr. Collins and Wes asked him what he was doing. Mr. Collins told Wes that he had to find him to let him know how proud he was of him. Neither Wes nor Mr. Collins noticed one of the Cyclobots sit up and fire a laser at them. Eric ran in front of them and fired back at the Cyclobot. Eric was hit and badly hurt. Mr. Collins and Wes raced over to Eric's side. Wes wanted his dad to take Eric to the hospital. Eric insisted that he was okay, but when he tried to get back up, he couldn't. Eric deactivated his quantum morpher. Eric gave Wes his quantum morpher, telling him if anything can neutralized the Trizirium crystals, his quantum defender can. Wes takes the quantum morpher. Eric gives Wes his vote of confidence when he holds up his hand. Wes and Eric grip each others hand tightly for a moment. Mr. Collins tells Wes to go, that he will take care of Eric. Mr. Collins and Eric watch Wes leave.
Mr. Collins stood on the beach with the Silver Guardians behind him and Eric by his side. Wes was there as well. Lucas, Katie, Trip, and Jen all stood facing them. Mr. Collins watched as his son gave each of his friends a tender farewell, the most heartbreaking being the one with Jen. As Lucas, Katie, Trip, and Jen said goodbye, they then walked to the time ship and vanished. Mr. Collins gave his son a moment and then walked towards him. He ask Wes if he was okay, and Wes told him he was alright. Mr. Collins told Wes that he had a business proposition for him. Wes immediately began to object. Mr. Collins asked his son to hear him out. He wanted the Silver Guardians to work for everyone. Mr. Collins told him that he needed a leader. Wes told him he would take the position on one condition. Mr. Collins laughed as he asked him what it was. Wes told him he wanted Eric as his partner. Mr. Collins nodded and told Wes that was what he would have done as well.
