BOBBY
Bobby
Bobby is a student at Angel Grove High School. He had just moved to Angel Grove. Bobby had a younger sister, Mandy, who took dance lessons from Ashley. Bobby generally picked up Mandy from dance class at the Juice Bar. Bobby had an ice cream cone that Mandy soon had after class. Ashley walked up to the two and introduced herself to Bobby. Ashley offered to give Bobby dance lessons. Cassie walked in as well. Bobby was already friends with Cassie and introduced her to Ashley. Cassie told Bobby that she and Ashley were best friends. Bobby commented that it was a small world. The following day, at Angel Grove High School, Bobby was surrounded by girls. He spotted Ashley by her locker and quickly went over. Bobby asked Ashley if he could take her up on the offer to dance. Ashley said sure and made arrangements for that afternoon. Bobby asked if they could have it the following day after school instead. Ashley agreed. Cassie walked up and asked Bobby if he was ready. Bobby said bye to Ashley and walked with Cassie to the park. Bobby sat on the ground and listen to Cassie's guitar playing. A baseball flew overhead and Bobby caught it before it hit Cassie. T.J. apologized telling them that Ashley was new. T.J. asked if they would like to play. Cassie said no, but Bobby enthusiastically said yes. Cassie reluctantly joined the game of catch. Bobby was amused over Ashley's throw - which flew way over Cassie's head. He lent Cassie a hand after she had fallen on wet grass trying to catch the ball. Bobby and Cassie got into Bobby's car to leave. He had flooded the engine. Ashley promptly appeared and offered to help him. Cassie told him that Ashley had taken auto shop. Bobby was impressed when Ashley fixed his car. Cassie was about to ask Bobby to the dance, when her communicator went off. Cassie told Bobby it was her pager and asked if he would wait for a moment. Bobby said sure and waited. But eventually he left before Cassie returned. The following day, Bobby spotted Ashley at the resource center at Angel Grove High School. He went over and asked Ashley if Cassie was okay. Bobby explained that Cassie had left and never returned. Ashley told him that's the way Cassie always is. Another girl joined their table, Glenda. Ashley brought up the dance lesson and Bobby was embarrassed. He didn't want it known that he took dance lessons. Glenda told him that it was okay, she could probably use dance lessons herself. Glenda then realized that she had implied that Bobby was a bad dancer and tried to correct herself by telling him he wasn't a bad dancer. Bobby didn't known how to response to Glenda's embarrassed rambling. Bobby made arrangements with Ashley to met after school for the dance lesson. Later, Bobby was at the Juice Bar. His sister Mandy had just finished her lesson and was anxious to go. Bobby told her that their mom was taking them home and that Bobby was staying. Mandy teased Bobby telling him that he liked Ashley. Bobby merely shook his finger at her. Bobby was a bit overwhelmed when Ashley showed him some simple dance moves. After some time, Bobby could do the dance moves Ashley taught him. Ashley's communicator went off during the lesson and Ashley had to leave. The following day, Bobby entered the Juice Bar. He sat at a table with T.J., Carlos, and Justin. Bobby told the guys he needed some advice. Bobby was afraid to ask a girl to the dance. T.J. and Carlos both told him to just "jump in". Bobby repeated these words to himself as he walked past Ashley and Cassie. Bobby nervously asked Glenda to the dance and she accepted.
