MR. STEWART
Mr. Doug Stewart - Michael Cunningham
Mr. Stewart is Justin's dad. After the loss of his mom, Mr. Stewart lost his focus. He shut down his martial arts studio and placed Justin in the care of Little Angel's Haven. Mr. Stewart went north to look for work. Mr. Stewart did return to Angel Grove for Justin's surprise birthday party. Justin was very happy to see him and Mr. Steward told Justin he wouldn't miss his birthday for anything.
When Justin had been younger, Mr. Stewart gave Justin a special coin for good luck, while he was away on a job.
Mr. Stewart found Justin in the park. He had good news for him. Mr. Stewart had found a job in Angel Grove and would be staying. Justin was very happy.
Mr. Stewart was preparing to go to an interview. He was nervous. Justin helped fixed his dad's tie. Mr. Stewart got into his car and then panic when he couldn't find his briefcase. Justin handed him his briefcase through the car window. Later, Mr. Stewart went to the Juice Bar. He knew Lt. Stone. Mr. Stewart told Justin he had gotten the job. Justin was happy, but Mr. Stewart wanted to speak privately to Justin. They sat at a table and Mr. Stewart told Justin that if he took the job, he would have to leave Angel Grove. Mr. Stewart told Justin that he would go with him. Justin did not want to leave Angel Grove. Justin told his dad he liked Angel Grove and would miss all his friends. Mr. Stewart told Justin then they would stay because he was more important than any job. Justin would later give up being a Ranger to stay with his dad.
Anxious to keep his job, Mr. Stewart worked a lot of hours. Justin was out on the deck of their house when Mr. Stewart told him it was time for bed. Mr. Stewart tucked Justin in and told him that he would be unable to keep their plans for tomorrow. Justin told his dad that tomorrow was Saturday. Mr. Stewart told him that he was really behind and that he would make it up to him next weekend. Mr. Stewart shut the bedroom door on a very disappointed Justin. The following morning, Mr. Stewart prepared to leave for work. He had his briefcase in one hand and several papers in another. He was looking at the papers when he dropped his keys by the car. As Mr. Stewart bent to get his keys, he glanced at his neighbors across the street. He watched as the father was showing his son how to hold a fishing pole. Mr. Stewart thought for a moment and then headed back towards the house, calling out Justin's name. Mr. Stewart opened the door to Justin's room to see if he was awake. Justin was awake. Mr. Stewart told him to get ready as they were going fishing. Justin told his dad that he thought he was behind. Mr. Stewart told Justin he would be behind on Monday, today they were going fishing.
