Cassie is sitting on the steps in Angel Grove High School, lost in thought.  Students all around her are walking down the halls and getting to class, but she doesn't see them.  In her mind, all she sees is Phantom Ranger, as she remembers their various encounters.  Mr. Caplan approaches Cassie, but she doesn't hear him.  Mr. Caplan has to tap Cassie, before she realizes someone is talking to her.  Cassie apologizes, I was someplace else.  Mr. Caplan suggests that perhaps she should be in the library studying.  Miss Appleby told him that Cassie wants to take the test at a later date.  Cassie nods her head in agreement.  Mr. Caplan unfolds Cassie's request and reads to her, you said that you have been very busy with other interests.  Once more, Mr. Caplan suggests that Cassie take an interest in school.  And take the test, as scheduled.  Mr. Caplan walks away and Cassie is disappointed.
