KITE
Kite - Ryan Goldstein
During a battle with Super Nazyor, Alyssa, Taylor, Danny, and Max were demorph and hurt badly. Cole and Merrick took them to the Animarium, where Princess Shayla tended to them. Taylor, Danny, Max, and Alyssa woke up in another dimension. Large doors opened and a mysterious young boy talked to them. He told them their friends were in trouble. The mysterious young boy told them there was a powerful zord that had not been seen for three thousand years. If they accept the challenge, in a certain amount of time, the zord would be release. Max, Alyssa, Taylor, and Danny walked to a tall table with several pieces on it. They asked the young boy, what would happen if they did not complete the challenge. The mysterious young boy told them they would remain with him forever. Taylor told him that they accepted the challenge. The mysterious young boy watched as Alyssa, Taylor, Danny, and Max raced to put the puzzle together. Soon the ground beneath them began to shake and fall apart. Later, the mysterious young boy, flew over to them and asked them to take his hands. He would save them. Taylor, Danny, Max, and Alyssa asked him what would happen to their friends. The young boy replied they would not be saved. Danny, Max, Alyssa, and Taylor refused his help. The young boy replied as you wish and flew away. Max, Alyssa, Taylor, and Danny managed to get the puzzle together, despite falling through the sky, and the Falcon zord was release to help Red Ranger and Lunar Wolf Ranger. Later, Alyssa, Taylor, Danny, and Max appeared in Turtle Cove. They start to lose their memory of what had happened and were unable to explain where they had been.
A young man, with no memory, is hungry and looking for food. He finds a good source, a construction site. He slowly and quietly walks to a box of doughnuts. This time he is spotted by several angry construction workers. The construction workers run after the young boy. The young boy runs into Cole. Cole asks him is he is okay and the young boy says nothing. The construction workers caught up and tell Cole the young boy has been stealing their lunches all week. Cole asks him if it is true and the young boy simply bows his head. Cole promises the construction workers it won't happen again and they angrily walk off. Cole asks the young boy what his name is. The young boy doesn't know. He glances up into a tree and sees a Kite. He tells Cole that his name is Kite. Cole asks Kite about his parents. Unable to answer, Kite gives Cole a kick in the shins and takes off running. Cole goes after him, but has to stop when Shayla contacts him about Manilok and two Duke Orgs, Artilla and Helicos. Later, Manilok, Artilla, and Helicos are at the construction site. Manilok wants to eat the buildings. Kite tries to stop them. He tells them this is his home and they can't eat it. Manilok is not threaten by a little boy and fires at him. Red Ranger appears on his bike and blocks the fire. Red Ranger makes sure Kite is okay and tells him to go into hiding. Kite watches as the rest of the Rangers appear and battle Manilok, Artilla, and Helicos. Kite is upset because he feels he is the cause of the destruction of Cole's bike. Kite then disappears again. Later, Kite smells some really good food. Cautiously he peeks out of his hiding place and follows Princess Shayla. Kite eventually meets Princess Shayla, who offers him some food. Kite is rude to Princess Shayla and tells her to leave, she doesn't belong here. Princess Shayla is hurt and Kite can see that. He apologizes to Princess Shayla. Princess Shayla offers him food again and asks him if his mom makes spaghetti. Manilok has also smell the good aroma and goes after it, finding Kite and Princess Shayla. Manilok demands the food and goes after the two of them. Princess Shayla tries to protect Kite and contacts the Lunar Wolf Ranger for protection. The Lunar Wolf Ranger arrives in time to protect them and tells them to go into hiding. Kite manages to get away from Princess Shayla. Distracted, Princess Shayla is hurt. Later, Kite reappears as Lunar Wolf Ranger is tending to Princess Shayla's hurt wrist. The Rangers cannot call their zords and they are all puzzled. Kite tells them the animals are upset. Princess Shayla and Lunar Wolf Ranger ask Kite about the animals. Kite tells them he has been protecting the animals and takes them to where they are at. Scattered and sticking out of the ground, are several stone statues of animals. Kite tells Princess Shayla and Lunar Wolf Ranger he always feels sad when he sees them. Princess Shayla and Merrick recognize the animals from three thousand years ago. Lunar Wolf Ranger wipes off some writing and discovers it's a memorial to their battle for Animaria. Princess Shayla, Lunar Wolf Ranger, and Kite bow their heads as Princess Shayla pleads with the stone animals to help them. A strong burst of energy appears and the memorial is assemble. The Rangers can now call upon their zords. Later, Kite watches from behind a tree as Princess Shayla, Merrick, Cole, Alyssa, Taylor, Max, and Danny paid tribute to the ancient warriors. They have had the memorial moved from the construction site, to a more befitting area.
Kite stands in the city of Turtle Cove and hear Princess Shayla and Merrick playing for the Deer zord. Tears are running down Kite's face as he wonders why the song moves him. Later, Kite spots Cole and follows him. Cole is aware that Kite is following and after purchasing two ice creams, tosses one to him. Kite catches it as Cole walks up. Kite tells Cole he is a Power Ranger. Cole laughs and tells him not so loud. Kite and Cole walk to a bench away from the crowds. As they sit and eat ice cream, Cole asks Kite is he can remember his parents or where he came from. Kite tells Cole that he doesn't remember his parents or where he came from. Cole tells him they have a lot in common. Cole is contacted and needs to go battle Flute Org. Cole tells Kite to stay where he is at. Cole promises to return as soon as he can. While waiting, Kite falls asleep on the bench. He is awaken by the music of Princess Shayla and Lunar Wolf Ranger as they try to break the spell of Flute Org. Kite finds a spot where he can watch the Power Rangers. Flute Org begins to play his flute. Kite covers his ears at the terrible sound and takes off running.
Kite steals an apple and is chased by the owner of the apple stand. Kite runs into Max. The owner tells Max the kid had taken an apple. Max asks Kite if it is true. Reluctantly, Kite takes out the apple he has hidden in his jacket and gives it to Max. Max gives the apple to the owner and the owner walks off grumbling. Max tells Kite that he must know stealing is wrong. Kite lowers his head. Max realizes Kite is hungry and asks him. Kite nods his head. Max takes Kite to the Animarium. Kite is thrilled to see the Animarium and the place where the Rangers hang out. Taylor is outrage that Max has brought Kite. Max tells them Kite is hungry. Alyssa immediately offers to fix him some food. After eating, Kite and Max chase each other around the Animarium. They are having a great time and only Taylor is annoyed. Cole finally stops them and tells Kite it is time to find his parents. Max volunteers to help Kite search for his parents. They walk away together. Taylor decides she needs to go along to keep an eye on the two "kids". In Turtle Cove, they start searching for something familiar. Kite spots an amusement park and tells them he feels he should go inside. Max agreed. Taylor pays for their tickets and soon Kite and Max are racing all over the amusement park. They find several rides, although one doesn't agree with Taylor. Kite and Max next hit the arcade and start playing a game. Taylor decides to show them how it's done. As Taylor plays, Kite and Max walk away. Kite, excitedly, finds another ride and climbs into it. Max yells at him to wait, no one is around, but Kite is already in the ride. Kite is trapped in the ride and suddenly surrounded by several Putrids. Jindrax and Juggelo confront Max. Taylor arrive and they both morph. Kite cheers for the Blue and Yellow Rangers. Eventually the rest of the Rangers arrive and the battle continues. Eventually Blue Ranger and Yellow Ranger free Kite from the ride and tell him to hide. Kite goes into hiding and the battle escalates to zords. Juggelo is defeated. Later, Kite is greeted by Max, Taylor, Alyssa, Danny, and Cole. Merrick is standing in the background. Taylor tells Kite and Max they were a handful. Max is offended. Kite tells Taylor that Max is not a kid. In fact, it was more like hanging around a couple of grandparents. Max and Taylor immediately start chasing Kite around. Kite notices Merrick and stops. Merrick introduces himself. Kite tells him he doesn't know how, but he feels like they have met before, a long time ago.
In the Animarium, Kite watched the pond's reflection, which showed Princess Shayla and Merrick playing for the deer zord. Max came in and asked Kite how he was doing. Kite told him he still couldn't shake the feeling that he has known Merrick for a very long time, a long time ago. Later, the rest entered and began to grumble about Princess Shayla and Merrick early morning playing and not being able to sleep in. Princess Shayla arrived and told them they should appreciate the music, all the zords love it. The word zords made seem to trigger something with Kite. The pond suddenly erupted with water. Another Org, Lion Tamer Org, was in Turtle Cove. Cole told Kite to stay with Princess Shayla in the Animarium. Cole and his friends took off. Kite and Princess Shayla monitored the battle in the pond's reflection. Kite became frustrated as Lion Tamer Org gain control of the megazord. Kite asked Princess Shayla what was going on. Princess Shayla told him the zords must be under a spell. Things continued to get worse for the Rangers. Princess Shayla sent the Congo zord, and it did no good. Princess Shayla then sent the Deer zord, and that didn't help either. Kite took off when Princess Shayla wasn't looking. Kite ran through the streets of Turtle Cove, trying to get to the zords. When he arrived, he pleaded with the zords to remember. Kite reminded them they were friends and continued to repeat to them to remember. A sudden gust of wind appeared, Kite close his eyes and then broke the spell the zords were under. Kite was thrilled that he was able to break the spell and then he fainted. Yellow Ranger caught him before he fell to the ground. The Rangers gave the unconscious Kite to Lunar Wolf Ranger and asked him to keep an eye on him. After the Rangers defeated Lion Tamer Org, they ran back to Merrick and Kite. Kite was asleep in Merrick's arms. Merrick told his friends Kite was okay, just asleep. Cole, Alyssa, Taylor, Max, and Danny wondered how Kite was able to break the spell. Merrick told them he recognized the wind, from three thousand years ago.
Kite was on the Animarium watching TV. Cole, Taylor, Alyssa, Max, Danny, and Princess Shayla walked up from behind him. He was watching a program about an oil spill and all the damage it had done. Kite was angry. He asked them why humans were polluting the Earth. Cole told him humans didn't pollute the Earth on purpose. Kite, still upset, wanted to know why the Power Rangers hadn't protected the Earth - they were the Guardians of the Earth. Taylor got mad and grab Kite's shoulders. Taylor told him little kids shouldn't talk like that. Kite broke away from her and ran off. Kite walked along in Turtle Cove. Everywhere he looked, there was pollution. He couldn't believe it only took three thousand years for humans to pollute the Earth. Mandilok, Toxica, and Jindrax appeared. At first, Kite was frightened. Mandilok told Kite that he didn't need to be scare of them. Mandilok told Kite they were not the cause of pollution, the humans were. Mandilok, Toxica, and Jindrax took Kite to a dump to show him the extent of the waste of humans. They also saw the birth of another Org, Monitor Org. Mandilok convinced Kite that humans were at fault, not the Orgs. Kite stayed with Mandilok, Toxica, and Jindrax. Monitor Org began attacking Turtle Cove and making it's citizens disappear. The Rangers were at a stadium, where hundreds of people had just vanished. Kite, Mandilok, Jindrax, and Toxica stood in the stands. The Rangers yelled at Kite to ran away, but Kite just stood there. Mandilok told the Rangers they had it all wrong, Kite wanted to stay with them. Yellow Ranger thought Kite was too young to know what was going on and tried to attack Mandilok. Yellow Ranger wasn't successful. Later, in a field, the Rangers were battling Monitor Org when Kite, Jindrax, Toxica, and Mandilok walked up to them. Lunar Wolf Ranger tried to reason with Kite, but Kite told him to go and push him away with superhuman force. During the battle, a car went flying towards Kite. Kite stopped the car and then tossed it away. The Rangers were puzzled. Mandilok urged Kite to reveal his true form. Kite took a few steps and then began to float in the air. A golden sparkled began to fill the sky. The ancient zords appeared and formed Animus. Kite was the human child form of Animus. Kite/Animus was not happy with the Rangers or with the Orgs. Mandilok had placed a control device on the Rangers' megazord. Kite/Animus used his bow and arrow and broke off the control device. Kite/Animus told the Rangers they did not deserve the zords and he was taking them back. The Rangers will have to fight their battles on their own. Kite/Animus took the megazord with him before vanishing. Kite/Animus also took away all the remaining zords on the Animarium.
Merrick is at the memorial, after finding out from Cole, that Princess Shayla is asleep again. Merrick is pleading to his ancient friends, he doesn't know what to do. A burst of sun streams down and Kite/Animus appears before Merrick. Kite/Animus tells Merrick that he doesn't belong here. Kite/Animus tells Merrick this is a doomed planet and offers to take him with him, where they could be with the wild zords and find a new world. Merrick is taken aback and doesn't want to leave his friends. Over Merrick's morpher, Kite/Animus and Merrick can hear the Rangers' battle against Toy Org. Red Ranger's words get to Merrick and Merrick tells Kite/Animus he will always consider him a friend, but he has made new friends and a life here in the present and now he needs to help his friends. Kite/Animus watched as Merrick takes off running. Later, Kite reverts to Animus and wakes up the sleeping Princess Shayla. Princess Shayla awakens slowly and asks Animus if it really is him. Animus does not reply. Later, Animus appears beside Lunar Wolf Ranger in his Predazord. Lunar Wolf Ranger is fearful that Animus has come to take him with him. Animus tells Lunar Wolf Ranger that he has always wanted to battle alongside Lunar Wolf Ranger and never had the opportunity. Lunar Wolf Ranger tells Animus to fight alongside him now. Together they destroy Toy Org. Later, at the memorial, Kite is waiting for them as Cole, Alyssa, Merrick, Danny, Max, Taylor, and Princess Shayla arrived. Kite reverts to white clothing and Alyssa, Danny, Max, and Taylor recognize him as the boy in the dark dimension. Alyssa realizes that not only did they help themselves, they help Kite as well. Kite tells them he had taken away their zords as a test, and they had passed the test. Kite reverts to Animus and stands beside the Rangers' zords. Animus reverts back to Kite and gives them the Red Wild Force Rider as a gift for saving his life. Kite beams a smile at them and then reverts to Animus as goes up into the sky. Princess Shayla asks Animus if they will see him again. Animus tells them no, this is their battle and they no longer need him. Animus then vanishes.
The Rangers were battling a giant Master Org. Animus suddenly arrived to help them. He told Master Org that he had been reborn in order to protect the Earth. Princess Shayla arrived in Turtle Cove and told the Rangers that Master Org was too powerful and to leave with her. All the Rangers, except Lunar Wolf Ranger, left with Princess Shayla. Lunar Wolf Ranger leaped into his Predazord. Animus and his friends, Lunar Wolf Ranger battled Master Org. Despite their combined efforts, they were defeated by Master Org. Lunar Wolf Ranger was knocked out of his zord and demorph. Merrick's animal crystals shattered and his morpher vanished. Animus had been knocked down as well. Animus had reverted to Kite. Kite was unconscious when Merrick ran over. Merrick asked him if he was okay, but Kite couldn't answer. Master Org was about to step on them when he was knocked aside by the island of Animarium. Princess Shayla beamed Kite and Merrick onto the island and then flew away. Merrick held Kite in his arms. Kite had awaken and apologized to Cole, Alyssa, Taylor, Danny, Max, and Merrick for not being strong enough to help them to defeat Master Org. Kite reminded them they were Guardians of the Earth and told them they would meet again one day. A golden shower surrounded Kite and then he vanished.
