Rita wants to put Tommy against the Putties and see how he does before she makes him her evil Green Ranger.

Tommy is walking home with his friends. Tommy says bye to his friends as they part ways and he walks down an alleyway. Suddenly several Putties arrive. Tommy battles the Putties, using everything he has, including a trash can lid. Eventually Tommy defeats the Putties. The Putties vanished and Tommy wonders why him?

Finster, Baboo, Squatt, and Goldar are standing on the balcony with Rita. Rita is very pleased with how Tommy has defeated the Putties and feels he is truly the one to become her evil Green Ranger.

Rita instructs that her crystal ball be prepared to received him.

Tommy went to pick up his bag when a sudden strong wind began to blow.
