To Flea Or Not To Flea

The Youth Center is going out of business. To try and save the place, Zack walks around the Youth Center and rattles a can, asking customers to save the Youth Center. Most of the young customers drop in some coins. Zack appreciates each contribution and tells one customer, Ernie thanks you. Zack pauses at the "Going Out of Business" sign and then joins Kimberly and Billy at the counter. Zack tells them, that "Going Out of Business" sign is really depressing. I can't believe this place is really closing down. Kimberly adds, we had a lot of really great times here. Trini walks in with her own can and joins her friends. Trini asks Billy, how's it going with Ernie's books? Billy doesn't have good news. From the looks of these reports, Ernie's last quarter operating expenses far exceeded his revenues. Kimberly doesn't understand and simply says, Trini? Trini tells her, he's broke. Trini asks Zack, how much do we have in donations? Zack replies, about enough for a burger and shake. It is very obvious that Ernie is upset as he tries to work. Kimberly tells her friends, poor Ernie. I have never seen him so bummed out. Jason walks in and joins his friends. In his arms is a dog. Kimberly immediately gets up to pet the dog. Jason asks, how's Ernie? Trini replies, not too good. Zack wants to know where Jason got the dog. Kimberly thinks the dog is adorable. Jason tells them, he followed me here after school. He looked kind of lost, so I brought him in.
On the stairs of Angel Grove High School, Skull spots a poster about a lost dog. Skull tears off the poster and reads it to Bulk. There will be a genius fee for the person who finds it. Skull takes the gum out of his mouth and asks Bulk, why would anyone want a genius fee when they can have money instead?! Skull is about to put the gum on the poster when Bulk yanks it out of his hand. Bulk tells him, that's a generous fee, dimwit! Skull puts the gum on another poster and follows Bulk down the stairs. Bulk gets an idea. If we can get our hands on this mutt, we can turn it in for the reward. Skull likes the idea. Bulk folds up the poster and places inside his jacket, to make sure no one else gets a chance. Skull laughs. Bulk yanks him by the jacket and tosses him aside. Bulk grins.
Rita is aware that Jason has found a lost dog and it gives her an idea. We can use that mutt to get to the Rangers. Baboo thinks it's a good idea. Squatt wishes he had thought it. Baboo and Squatt follow Rita into Finster's room. Rita tells Finster it's time to hatch my fabulous Fighting Flea. Look out Red Ranger! Goldar comments, that takes care of Red Ranger, but what about the others? Rita replies, I'll cast a spell that will make the itch contagious and get them all. Finster places the mold of Fighting Flea into the Monstermatic. He had been looking forward to this for such a long time. It will put quite a bite on the Rangers. Squatt comments it's munch-a-roonie time! Rita, Squatt, Baboo, and Goldar all watch the mold go in the Monstermatic. Soon Fighting Flea drops out. Fighting Flea exclaims I'm ready! I'm ready!
Ernie brings over a bowl of water for the dog.
