Storybook Rangers, Part I - Page Three
Tommy tries to contact Zordon, but gets no response. Kimberly comments, we are totally cut off.
Rita is thrilled to see her plan is working. Rita gloats, I couldn't have written it better! With three Rangers out of commission, the rest will drop like flies. Rita laughs.
Rocky suggests they morph. Tommy doesn't think it will do any good. They are still stuck here. Rocky, Tommy, and Kimberly hear a strange voice. Suddenly a strange creature appears, dressed in a Santa suit and with a wagon full of toys. Kimberly recognizes Grumble the Magic Elf right away. She introduces herself, Rocky, and Tommy. Grumble is very grouchy. Kimberly tells her friends that an evil magician put a spell on Grumble and turned him into a grouch. Grumble has to deliver all the toys to the orphanage if he ever wants to be nice again. Grumble asks if she's a gossip or something? Kimberly replies, I've read this story a hundred times. Grumble asks her if she wants a medal? Grumble tells Kimberly to get out of his way. He leaves with the wagon of toys. Tommy thinks if they follow him, maybe they can find their way out of here. Rocky thinks it's worth a try. Rocky, Tommy, and Kimberly follow Grumble.
At the Youth Center, Billy is engrossed in his book as he sits down at a table with Adam. Adam is reading his book as well when Aisha walks up to the table. She is surprised that Kimberly and the others aren't here yet. Adam replies, nope, but they said they would cut through the park. They should be here soon. Aisha asks what Adam is reading and he shows her his book. Aisha then checks out Billy's book.
Goldar has reported to Lord Zedd what Rita Repulsa has done. Lord Zedd comments, so my lovely wife has taken it upon herself to trap the Rangers in a storybook. Let's make things really interesting. Goldar laughs and asks Lord Zedd what is he going to do? Lord Zedd replies, if the elf doesn't deliver the toys, the story doesn't end. If the story doesn't end, the Rangers are trapped forever! Goldar doesn't understand. Lord Zedd becomes angry with Goldar. We steal the toys! Goldar claims he now understands. Lord Zedd stares at the storybook in the trash can. Lord Zedd notes with three Rangers trapped in the storybook, there are only three Rangers left to defeat. Lord Zedd commands the Putties to steal the toys from the overgrown elf.
Two guys are walking through the park and toss some trash in the trash can. The guys notice the book in the trash and pick it up. One of them wonders why anyone would throw away a perfectly good book? The other guy suggests they give it to Miss Appleby. Maybe they will be able to sell it at the fair. The other guy agrees and they walk off.
