Dream Snatcher - Page Three

With a longing backward glance at the treats, Jake heads out.

A young man is racing through the park as he prepares for the marathon.  He is determined to finish it this year.  Dream Snatcher appears running beside him and takes away the young man's dream.  Dream Snatcher comments, a little soggy, but delicious.  Dream Snatcher laughs as he dances away. 

A few moments later, in the city, people are running in terror as the Rangers arrive.  Black Ranger notices several people laying motionless on roots on the pavement.  The Rangers hurry over.  Red Ranger asks, what happened to them?  Yellow Ranger notes, they've grown roots.  A short distance away, Dream Snatcher eats the dream of a young woman.  Dream Snatcher spots the Rangers.  Blue Ranger asks, what are you doing to these people?  Dream Snatcher replies, just dining on the useless dreams of the useless humans.  They call me the Dream Snatcher.  Usually dream snatchers can only snatch dreams when people are asleep.  But I've been empowered by the Aurora Box.  Now I can eat people's hopes and dreams while they are awake.  And they are imprisoned in my dark dream world.  They'll never escape.  Dream Snatcher laughs.  Black Ranger notes, so Vrak has a new weapon.  Dream Snatcher continues, after their dreams are eaten, their bodies grow roots of despair.  Roots that will make the Earth rot away.  After that, all you humans will wither away and this world will be ours.  Pink Ranger states, we got to help them.  Dream Snatcher tells them not to be sore losers.  Yellow Ranger doesn't take well to this comment.  Yellow Ranger asks, you think we will let you destroy the Earth?  Pink Ranger adds, and take away people's dreams?  The Rangers charge towards Dream Snatcher.  The Rangers fight Dream Snatcher.  Dream Snatcher waves a flag around as he knocks the Rangers with ease.  Pink Ranger and Yellow Ranger are knocked off their feet.  Black Ranger, Blue Ranger, and Red Ranger fire their Mega Blasters at Dream Snatcher.  Dream Snatcher easily outmaneuvers their blasts.  Dream Snatcher boosts, they will be tripping over the roots of all of humanity's dreams.  Dream Snatcher charges towards the Rangers and fights them with his sword this time.  The Rangers are knocked to the ground.  Several blasts hit Dream Snatcher.  It is Robo Knight.  Robo Knight states, hostile target neutralized.  Robo Knight leaps over to the Rangers.  The Rangers are glad to see him.  Robo Knight glances at the pavement and notes, this is not good.  These roots are making the Earth rot.  Blue Ranger informs Robo Knight that the monster created these roots after he ate all of these people's dreams.  Robo Knight does not know what dreams are.  Red Ranger explains, dreams are the things humans wish for and believe in.  Pink Ranger gives an example.  One of her dreams is to take a great shot of the meteorite shower tonight.  Black Ranger is surprised.  I thought you had much bigger dreams than that.  Pink Ranger replies, I don't think any dream is too small or too big.  Dream Snatcher pops up behind Pink Ranger.
