JAYDEN
Young Jayden - George Beca
Jayden had been very young when his dad gave him the case containing the Lion Folding Zord. Jayden's dad told him, one day the great responsibility of being the Red Ranger will fall to you. Remember, protect the world from evil, stand by your allies, and never run from a battle. Jayden's dad place his helmet back on as the rest of the Samurai Rangers ran into the courtyard. One of them hollered, we've got to go! Red Ranger race towards his team, telling them, Samurai Rangers, let's finish this! Jayden glanced down at his case. When he looked up, his dad was gone.
As a young man, Jayden would remember this moment often. Young Jayden stood with Mentor Ji as his father kneel before him to talk. Jayden's dad told him, one day the great responsibility of being the Red Ranger will fall to you. Remember protect the world from evil. Stand by your allies. Never run from a battle. Jayden looks at the Samuraizer his father has given him. Another time, he sat outside with his father. His dad is making a paper airplane. Jayden's dad tells him, you must be brave. One day you will lead a team of Rangers against Master Xandred. I know that together, you will rise to the challenge. Jayden's dad tosses the paper airplane into the sky and it glides over to the trees.
When they were little boys, Jayden and Antonio were friends. Antonio would come and play at the Shiba House. As Jayden worked on his symbol power, Antonio had fun chasing around Octozord. Soon Jayden joined him in the fun. After awhile, there was the sound of a car horn. Antonio's father had come to pick him up. Antonio was leaving for good and was very sad about it. Antonio was about to walk away when Jayden stopped him. Jayden tells him he's got a going away present for him. But it's our secret, alright? Jayden gives Antonio Octozord. Antonio is thrilled. Jayden tells Antonio to remember they will always be friends, no matter how far away they are from each other. Antonio vows that he will keep training and when you become Red Ranger, I'll come back and be a Samurai Ranger too. They shake on it by linking their pinkies. Antonio leaves with Octozord flying along beside him.
Young Jayden had meet young Antonio at the local fish market. Antonio's father owned it. The times Jayden and Antonio played together were really the only times Jayden got to feel like a normal kids. They enjoyed beating a shrub with their practice sticks. Antonio: Wow! Saved the world again! Jayden: Yeah! Alright! Mentor Ji burst out of the house. Mentor Ji: Jayden! Are you practicing or playing?! Antonio ran and hid in some bushes while Jayden hurried over to the practice form and dutifully practiced hitting it. Jayden glanced over at Antonio and they grinned at each other. Another time, Antonio had been practicing with his wooden sword. Jayden: Nice sword play. Antonio: thanks, but it doesn't matter. My father's not a samurai. I couldn't be a real samurai like you. Jayden: Sure you can. I'll make you a samurai. Antonio: You can do that? For real? Jayden: Why not? I'm a samurai, right? It was settled between the two young friends.
