Red Ranger was battling Robtish. The rest of the Rangers were battling Moogers. With the battles going on, no one notices that Deker has arrived. Deker silently watched the battles. Seeing Red Ranger was in trouble, Blue Ranger and Yellow Ranger leaped over to help. Robtish struck them with his double slash and they fell to the ground and demorph. Kevin and Emily were hurt and unable to battle. A few moments later, Green Ranger and Pink Ranger destroyed the Moogers and raced over to help Red Ranger. Robtish was about to strike again, when Deker leaped into their midst. Deker blocks the blow. Deker quickly strikes Green Ranger and Pink Ranger. They demorph and hit the ground. Red Ranger grabs his Spin Sword and blocks a blow from Deker. Robtish asks Deker what's he doing here? Deker replies that Red Ranger is his opponent, not yours. I'll ask you once, please leave. Robtish doesn't want to. Robtish races towards them. Robtish, Red Ranger, and Deker battle each other. Mia and Mike are too weak to help and can only watch the fight. During the battle, Robtish tells Deker that is enough. Red Ranger is my opponent to defeat. The fight between Deker, Red Ranger, and Robtish continues and becomes intense. Eventually it ends with each of them holding a sword against the other. Robtish laughs. He backs away and tells them they are both in luck as he is drying out. Robtish warns Deker that Master Xandred will not be happy about this. Robtish retreats through a gap. Red Ranger asks Deker why he helped him? Deker tells him my only desire to find someone skilled enough to be my opponent. Someone worthy to clash with my Uramasa. Mike calls a warning, telling Red Ranger not to fight Deker. Red Ranger doesn't listen and soon it's Red Ranger and Deker battling. Red Ranger is hit early on. Deker comments that was too easy. This isn't the battle I want. Robtish's double slash took too much out of you. Uramasa won't be satisfied unless you are at your peak. Deker brings down Uramasa to strike Red Ranger. Red Ranger gets out of the way and the rock that was behind him is sliced in half. Deker tells Red Ranger to go. You need to be at full strength to even have a chance with me. Deker leaps up to the top of a cliff and reverts to his human form and after a few words, leaves.

Deker walks along the shoreline of the Netherworld when he senses the approach of someone else. Several Moogers seep out from the ground. Deker concludes that Master Xandred has sent his minions to challenge him. Deker battles the Moogers with ease and they are soon destroyed. Master Xandred emerges from the water. Master Xandred yells at Deker that he has lost his patience with him. Master Xandred runs to the shore. Master Xandred and Deker battle. During the battle, Master Xandred tells Deker, how dare you meddle in my affairs? Leave it to a half human like you to side with them. Deker replies, I knew you wanted the Red Ranger destroyed, but he is tied to my destiny. I must duel him! You must let me do this! Master Xandred becomes even more angry and manages to kick Deker into the river. He yells at Deker, what you want means nothing to me! Deker tells Master Xandred he has no interest in battling him. Master Xandred remarks that is wise of you, but it doesn't mean you can avoid my wrath. Master Xandred uses his power to bind Deker. More Moogers arrive and strike Deker, who is helpless. Deker exclaims, you will not stop me! Deker uses his own power to break free from the binds and to destroy the Moogers. Deker reverts to his human form and escapes.

Dayu found Deker face down on the rocky shore of the Sanzu River. She helps him up and asks him whether he remembers anything from the past. Deker was in human form, but goes into Nighlok form. He tells her, no, nothing. My sword Uramasa calls to me. It longs for action. And I must make sure that ultimate duel finally happens. Dayu asks Deker if there is anything else in this world important to you? Deker replies, I am cursed to satisfied this urge, so no. There's nothing but this. Deker walks away from a sad Dayu.

Human Deker had enter the city, wanting to duel with Jayden, but it was a bad time. Deker knew that the teens wanted to enter the Netherworld and told them what they had to do to enter the Netherworld. Deker then transforms into his Nighlok form. Deker: "I welcome you to do it. You can then fight in ways no living human can. It will make our impending duel even more glorious." Deker leaps away. Antonio arrived before the teens entered the gap with a better idea on returning the people's spirits (including Emily) that were stolen by Splitface. It worked and Splitface was destroyed and the spirits returned.

With Master Xandred powering up, Deker thought it was a good time to duel Red Ranger without interference. Deker eventually found Jayden unconscious (Jayden had been poisoned by Octoroo) in the courtyard. Gold Ranger was busy battling Octoroo, who had been trying to get Jayden to show him the sealing symbol. Deker was surprised to see the fisherman was Gold Ranger. Deker came out of his hiding place and called out to Gold Ranger. Deker transformed into his Nighlok form. He tells Gold Ranger, I will take care of the Red Ranger from here. Gold Ranger becomes alarmed. Wait! No! Deker picks up Jayden and slings him over his shoulder. Deker leaps away with Jayden as Gold Ranger cries out no! Come back with my friend! Gold Ranger was unable to catch up to Deker. Moments later, Deker walks through a river, with Jayden still slung over his back. Deker tells himself, finally the opportunity has arrived Soon I shall have my divine moment and duel the Red Ranger.

Deker walks through the lake, with Jayden slung over his shoulders. Deker: "Rescuing you has become a bit of a bad habit. But one I intend to soon break...permanently." Deker dumps Jayden into the lake. The water wakes Jayden up and he sputters as he breaks the surface. Deker transforms into his human form. After awhile, they end up in a cave as Deker waits for Jayden to recover. When he feels Jayden has recovered, Deker transforms into his Nighlok form and has Uramasa pointed at Jayden. Jayden quickly has his Spin Sword at the ready. The two face each other with their weapons at the ready. After a few moments, Deker tells him, go ahead, the first move is yours. Suddenly Gold Ranger leaps and tells Deker to hold on! This isn't going to happen on my watch! Gold Ranger stands protectively in front of Jayden. He tells Jayden that he is in no shape to fight. Deker growls, get out of my way fisherman! Gold Ranger asks, how can you want to duel him when he's like this Nighlok?! Deker turns his head away and considers what Gold Ranger has said. Gold Ranger continues, me and my friend are walking out of here and you're going to let us! Deker disdainfully tells them to go. But know this Red Ranger, the next time we meet, we will battle. Gold Ranger excitedly tells Jayden, the nice creepy guy is letting us go! Gold Ranger throws down a smoke screen and the two vanish. Deker reverts back to human form and walks away.
