Deker tells Master Xandred, say what you like about my half human state, but it keeps me from being a prisoner in this Netherworld unlike you. Deker dives into the water and vanishes.

Deker laid face down on the rocky shore of the Sanzu River. He was unconscious and unaware of Dayu's presence. Eventually he woke up and Dayu helps him up. Deker thanks her. Dayu replies, no need to thank me. Its the least I could do after you saved me from the Samurai Rangers. Dayu asks Deker, why do you insist on dueling the Red Ranger? Deker replies, I'm compelled to find the ultimate duel. Its all that matters. I can't remember a time when it wasn't. Dayu is disappointed, so you remember nothing from the past? Deker goes into Nighlok form. He tells her no and walks away.

Deker is sitting on top of a hill. He has his sword, Uramasa, wrapped in canvas carrier. Deker: "Master Xandred's binds can't hold me. But my cursed half human, half Nighlok existence still imprisons me." Deker pauses for a moment. Deker: "My fate is sealed." Deker gets up and leaps onto a path. He walks along the path. A young man, Antonio, is walking towards him. The young man walked passed Deker and then paused. Antonio: "You!" Antonio glanced over his shoulder. Antonio: "I know what you got there." The man gripped his hand tighter around the canvas covering. Antonio turned around and faced the man's back. Antonio: "It's fishing rods. And there's a good stream that way. They weren't biting this morning, but just now I caught a bunch." Deker: "I'm no fisherman." Antonio hurried over and faced the man. Antonio: "Oh, but I bet you're hungry. How about some lunch? There's a secret baby barracuda recipe I'm working on." Antonio clenched his fish and held in front of the man's face. Antonio: "Do you want to challenge your taste buds?" Deker: "Maybe next time." Deker walks away. The next day, Mike, Mia, Kevin, and Jayden are in the city. Deker suddenly appears. Jayden: "You!" Deker: "It seems I have bad timing. I thought we could finally duel, but you are obviously preoccupied." Jayden: "If you know that, then go away. I don't have time for your games, stranger." Deker knew that the teens were trying to enter the Netherworld. Deker: "There is one way for humans like you to enter the Netherworld." Mike: "Really?" Deker: "Simply trade your human existence to become a Nighlok. Willingly give yourself over to them and pass through the gap." Jayden: "Wait. Are you saying you made that choice?" Deker turned his back towards them. Deker: "I don't remember how it happened to me. But I'm living proof it can be done." Deker transforms into Nighlok form and challenges Jayden to do it before leaping away. Antonio arrived before the teens entered the gap with a better idea on returning the people's spirits (including Emily) that were stolen by Splitface. It worked and Splitface was destroyed and the spirits returned.
