Rita's next plan was to send down Goo Fish after discovering Billy had a fear of fish. Kimberly and Billy were in the park, getting ready to met Jason, Trini, and Zack at the beach. Trini, Zack, and Jason had gone scuba diving. Rita wants to keep Billy and Kimberly away from the beach. Goldar sends down a squad of Putties. Soon Kimberly and Billy are surrounded by Putties. Kimberly and Billy fight the Putties. But soon the Putties become too much for them. Kimberly tries to contact Jason, Zack, and Trini, but gets no response. Billy joins Kimberly and tells her it's hopeless, they must still be underwater. Billy glances over at the picnic area and gets an idea. He flips over to the area and grabs the cooler. He leaps into the air and places the cooler on a Putty's head. Billy quickly kicks the Putty off it's feet. Kimberly leaps in and battles the remaining Putties. Billy battles several other Putties. Soon the Putties are defeated and vanish. Later, the beach is covered with Putties when Pink Ranger and Blue Ranger arrive. Pink Ranger battles a batch of Putties while Blue Ranger battles another batch of Putties. Goo Fish leaps out of the ocean and arrives on the beach. Pink Ranger finds Goo Fish's appearance gross. She tells Blue Ranger, we're going to need some help. Goo Fish states, I am the Goo Fish, you are no match for me. During the battle, Rita casts a spell that makes Blue Ranger's fear of fish intensify. Suddenly, Blue Ranger crunches down in fear. Goo Fish laughs as Blue Ranger hides behind Pink Ranger, pleading with her to keep Goo Fish away from him. Goo Fish continues to laugh at Blue Ranger. That's right, be afraid! For soon you will suffer my wrath! Blue Ranger continues to plead with Pink Ranger to keep it away. Pink Ranger contacts Zordon and tells him they need help as Goo Fish walks towards them. Suddenly, Red Ranger fires his Blade Blaster at Goo Fish, just as Goo Fish was about to strike Pink Ranger. Goo Fish is knocked aside. He tells the Rangers, another time, and dives into the ocean. Later, the Rangers arrive on the beach and find Goo Fish with several Putties. Pink Ranger tells the team that she and Blue Ranger will take care of the Putties, they can take care of Goo Fish. Goo Fish instructs the Putties to attack. The Rangers are kept busy battling the Putties. Red Ranger uses his Power Sword as he battles the Putties. Eventually the Putties are destroyed. Later, Blue Ranger faces his fear and breaks the spell. Goo Fish is destroyed by the Megazord.

Rita had been watching the Oddball games in Angel Grove. Team Red, which included Kimberly, Trini, Billy, Jason, and Zack, had won the Noble Lion trophy. This gave Rita an idea to change the trophy into Goatan. Unfortunately Bulk and Skull stole the trophy. Kimberly and Jason searched one area of the park while Trini, Billy, and Zack the other. Goldar sent down several Putties to keep the power pests from finding the trophy. One set of Putties battled Jason and Kimberly while the other set battled Billy, Zack, and Trini. Eventually both sets of Putties vanished. The time the teens had spent battling Putties, had given Rita enough time to cast her spell and now the Noble Lion trophy was Goatan. Eventually Goatan was destroyed by the Megazord.

Goldar had come up with a plan to destroy the Rangers' self confidence. He used the Crystal of Nightmares to give the teens nightmares. The spell work and the teens lost their self confidence. To protect the Crystal of Nightmares, Goldar had several Putties guard the entrance to the cave. Zordon had Alpha 5 teleport the teens a small distance from the cave. Sticking close together, the teens walk along the cave and spot the entrance, guarded by several Putties. Zack asks his friends, now what are we going to do? Trini adds that they don't stand a chance. Kimberly backs away from his friends, telling them I'm going to go back to town. Let me know how it turns out. Kimberly walks right into a Putty. Kimberly quickly runs back to her friends. All of the Putties have spotted the teens. Kimberly battles some Putties, but is knocked to the ground. Trini fights another set of Putties, but is soon knocked to the ground.. Zack tries to fight another batch of Putties, but ends up on the ground instead. Jason is tossed around by several Putties. Billy battles another group of Putties, but is knocked down as well. Zack continues to fight a batch of Putties until he is knocked into Kimberly. Zack tells Kimberly, they have never been this strong before. Kimberly adds, or this ugly. Trini is pressed against the outside cave wall and screams for help. Billy is knocked over into her direction. Billy tells her, this is most unfortunate. Jason manages to break free of the Putties and shouts out to his friends, that he's going for it. Jason runs into the cave. After outwitting Goldar, Jason destroys the Crystal of Nightmares. Goldar screams no! I'll get you yet Red Ranger! Goldar vanishes. With Crystal of Nightmares destroyed, Jason immediately feels his confidence returning and grins. Zack, Kimberly, Billy, and Trini's self confidence returns as well. They all hear Zordon's voice tell them, Power Rangers, you've destroyed the Crystal of Nightmares and broken Rita's spell. You've regain your self confidence. May the power protect you. Jason runs out of the cave and immediately fights a batch of Putties with ease. Kimberly fights another batch of Putties and knocks them to the ground. Trini battles another group of Putties and defeats them. Billy fights a batch of Putties and knocks them to the ground. Zack easily defeats his batch of Putties. Soon all the Putties are defeated and they vanished. Another battle follows with a giant Goldar and Scorpina. The Rangers battle them with their Megazord and soon Goldar and Scorpina retreat.

Rita had sent Fighting Flea, in tiny form, to land on a lost dog Jason had found. As soon as Jason petted the dog, he had an unbearable itch. Rita was pleased with her plan. Goldar sent down several Putties to finish Red Ranger off. Kimberly and Jason continue walking through the park and calling out for the dog. (Bulk and Skull had lured the dog away.) Suddenly they are surrounded by Putties. Kimberly and Jason immediately fight the Putties. Kimberly calls out a warning to Jason - behind you! Jason flips the Putty over his shoulders. The Putty lands on the grass and starts to go nuts. Kimberly runs up to Jason and asks what's with the Putty? Jason doesn't know. He must have caught the itch from me. Kimberly can't believe - you mean that can happen to anyone? Jason gets an idea and tells Kimberly to send the Putties his way. Kimberly flips over and fights the Putties, sending them in Jason's direction. Jason fights the Putties, and in the process, passes on the itch. The Putties go nuts trying to scratch themselves. They retreat, running up a hill. Later, Fighting Flea, now normal size, had been battling the Rangers. Fighting Flea summons several Putties and has them attack the Rangers. Red Ranger battles a batch of Putties. Yellow Ranger battles another group of Putties. Blue Ranger battles another set of Putties. Pink Ranger is kept busy battling a group of Putties. Black Ranger is battling yet another group of Putties. Red Ranger uses his Power Sword to battle the Putties. Fighting Flea shoots several needles at Red Ranger. Red Ranger rolls out of the way. The rest of the Rangers join him as the Putties are destroyed. Eventually Fighting Flea is destroyed by Megazord. After the battle, the teens return to the Youth Center, where the owner finds the lost dog and gives the reward money to Ernie.

Rita had learned that a time capsule was being buried with a picture of the Power Rangers. This made her furious and she wanted a picture of herself in the time capsule. Rita has been watching Angel Grove High School and she gets anxious when she sees the teens leaving with the time capsule. Rita screams, I'm waiting you dummies! Goldar tells her, do not worry my queen. I will send down the Putties to distract them while Squatt and Baboo steal the capsule and put your picture in it. Squatt and Baboo hurry out. In Angel Grove park, Billy, Jason, Zack, Trini, and Kimberly start digging when suddenly several Putties arrive. Zack asks, what do they want this time? Jason replies, same as usual, us. Unseen, Baboo and Squatt arrive behind a bush. They quickly spot the time capsule. Zack battles several Putties. Trini battles another group of Putties. Close to the sign, Billy battles more Putties. Jason battles another group of Putties. Kimberly battles yet another group of Putties. With the teens busy fighting the Putties, Baboo and Squatt get out of their hiding place and walk up to the time capsule. Squatt suggests they take the whole time capsule back and then put Rita's picture in it. Baboo thinks that's a good idea. Baboo and Squatt pick up the time capsule and start to walk away. Trini is fighting several Putties. Kimberly is also fighting more Putties. Zack, Billy, Kimberly, Trini, and Jason gather together, the Putties are defeated and vanish. The teens spot Baboo and Squatt walking away with the time capsule and chase after them. Squatt and Baboo drop the time capsule and vanish to get away from the teens. Rita is furious with them. Finster sends down Jellyfish and the Rangers battle Jellyfish. They soon have to make a quick retreat. Later several Super Putties are sent down and they join Jellyfish. The Rangers arrive once more. Red Ranger shouts, you're through Jellyfish! Jellyfish responds, that's what you think! Get them Super Putties! The Super Putties charge towards the Rangers. The Rangers charge towards the Super Putties. Black Ranger battles several Super Putties. Yellow Ranger battles another group of Super Putties. Pink Ranger fights several Super Putties. Jellyfish shouts, fight you clay brains! The Super Putties are soon defeated. Eventually Jellyfish is destroyed by Megazord.

Yellow Ranger was battling Mantis on her own. Kimberly, Billy, Jason, and Zack were racing to the quarry to help her. Rita decided to send down several Putties to stop them. Suddenly Jason stops them. Several Putties arrive and surround them. Zack, Kimberly, Jason, and Billy fight the Putties. Meanwhile, Yellow Ranger battles Mantis and is doing well against it. Mantis screams for Putties. Several Putties arrive and surround Yellow Ranger. Mantis laughs and tells Yellow Ranger, this should test your honor. Yellow Ranger is outrage. What about your honor? Mantis replies, I have no honor. Like you said, I'm one of Rita's monsters. The Putties charge towards Yellow Ranger and fight her. Yellow Ranger fights the Putties. Yellow Ranger is knocked to the ground. Yellow Ranger calls Mantis a cheater, which makes Mantis laugh. Mantis calls Yellow Ranger a fool. Yellow Ranger gets back up and goes after Mantis. Yellow Ranger lands several kicks and strikes against Mantis. Yellow Ranger pulls out her Blade Blaster and strikes Mantis with it, knocking Mantis to the ground. Elsewhere, Billy fights a batch of Putties. Kimberly battles another batch of Putties. Jason is kept busy fighting several Putties. Soon Jason's communicator goes off. It is Zordon. Zordon tells them, Trini is in trouble and needs your help at the quarry. Kimberly shouts, we got to get to Trini! Zack adds, let's squash that bug! Billy, Jason, Zack, and Kimberly morph. Blue Ranger, Pink Ranger, Red Ranger, and Black Ranger arrive at the quarry and stand behind Yellow Ranger. The Putties are defeated. The Rangers battle and destroy Mantis.

Rita had come up with the idea to kidnap the Rangers' parents and have them surrender their power coins for their release. Kimberly and Trini were outside the Youth Center and to keep them outside, Rita sent down several Putties. The Putties battled Trini and Kimberly. Soon Zack and Jason arrive to help. The Putties battled the four teens until they were defeated and they vanished. During the battle, Dramole used it's gas to hypnotize everyone inside the Youth Center and teleport them to the dark dimension. Dramole then hypnotize Billy (who arrived after everyone had been taken to the dark dimension) and he stole the Dragon Dagger and gave it to Goldar, who was waiting in the dark dimension. Black Ranger, Red Ranger, Yellow Ranger, and Pink Ranger arrive in the dark dimension. Goldar summons several Putties. Goldar knocks Billy down to the floor and laughs. Red Ranger fights a group of Putties. Billy watches the fighting all around him. Black Ranger fights another group of Putties. Yellow Ranger fights a batch of Putties. Pink Ranger fights several Putties as well. Goldar joins in the battle and fights Black Ranger. Goldar knocks Black Ranger to the side. Red Ranger battles Goldar, but is soon knocked aside as well. Yellow Ranger battles Goldar. Billy watches the four Rangers fight Goldar. Red Ranger fights Goldar again and is knocked aside again. Pink Ranger fights Goldar but is soon flipped onto the floor. Goldar leaps out of the battle and lands next to Billy. Goldar takes the Dragon Dagger from Billy. Red Ranger shouts no! Pink Ranger, Yellow Ranger, and Black Ranger hurry over to Red Ranger. The Putties circle them. Suddenly the Putties vanish. The spell is broken and Billy is puzzled, what's happening? Goldar calls Billy a fool and tells him, he has just given the Dragon Dagger to me! Billy is horrified and cries out oh no! What have I done?! Red Ranger tells him, it's not your fault Billy. You were under a spell. Goldar tells them they have all fallen into his trap. Now I have control over the Dragonzord, you have no choice but to surrender your power coins in exchange for your parents. Black Ranger tells Goldar, he's crazy. Why should we do what you say?! Goldar replies, because you really have no other alternative. An hour glass appears in Goldar's hand. Goldar tells them, this will remind you of the time you have slipping away. Once the sand is through the glass, you must make a decision. Your power coins or your parents. Goldar laughs and vanishes. After a battle with Dragonzord, the Rangers give up their power coins to Goldar, only to find out that Goldar intends to keep their parents.

Tommy was located and teleported to the Command Center. There, Zordon transfer some of energy to Tommy, making him the Green Ranger once more. Green Ranger teleports to the outskirts of Angel Grove. Goldar is there and cries out, you again, green weakling! Goldar laughs and tells Green Ranger, you have no chance of defeating me! Green Ranger replies, we'll see about that! Goldar isn't worried. Empty threats from a powerless Ranger! Green Ranger is confident that he has more than enough to beat Goldar. Goldar tells Green Ranger, I shall enjoy crushing you again. Goldar leaps down and walks over to the box which contains the power coins. Goldar places the Dragon Dagger next to the power coins. He knows Green Ranger has come for the power coins and Dragon Dagger. Goldar slams the lid to the box shut and taunts Green Ranger. Come and get them! Goldar summons the Putties and tells them to take care of my old friend. Baboo and Squatt have also arrived to watch the battle. Green Ranger battles the Putties as Goldar watches. After defeating the Putties, Green Ranger and Goldar battle. Baboo and Squatt cheer for Goldar after Goldar knocks Green Ranger to the ground. Goldar taunts Green Ranger once more. Had enough already? Green Ranger replies, I'll never give in to you Goldar. Squatt and Baboo continue to cheer for Goldar as Goldar and Green Ranger fight. Goldar tosses Green Ranger to the ground and declares, now I finish you! Instead Green Ranger moves quickly away and Goldar hits the ground. Green Ranger can feel his strength fading. He notices he is close to the Dragon Dagger and power coins. Green Ranger drags himself back up and grabs the Dragon Dagger. A huge electric current hits Green Ranger. Green Ranger is knocked backwards, along with the Dragon Dagger. Green Ranger grabs the Dragon Dagger and immediately begins to play it. Squatt and Baboo become alarmed. Squatt asks Baboo, what do we do now? Baboo remembers he left the oven on and they both vanish. Green Ranger calls on the power of the Dragonzord. Dragonzord responds immediately. Goldar has the Putties continue to fight Green Ranger, as he leaves to enter the city. Green Ranger is fighting the Putties, when he is knocked to the ground. Green Ranger starts to feel his power draining. Green Ranger glances over at the box which contains the power coins. Green Ranger uses the last of his strength to run over and grab the box. Green Ranger falls to his knees and is teleported out. The Rangers are restored. Dramole then breaks through the surface. The Rangers battle and destroy Dramole with the Ultrazord. With the destruction of Dramole, the people in the dark dimension are transported back to the Youth Center with no memories of what had happened.

Rita had Finster create Grumble Bee. Jason, Kimberly, and Zack were at Angel Grove park and Rita wanted to keep them away from Grumble Bee. She sent down Goldar and several Putties to the park. Jason, Kimberly, and Zack are playing basketball when the Putties appear. Jason tells his friends, spread out, lets take them! Zack fights a batch of Putties. Zack grabs the basketball off the grass and uses it to fight the Putties, before tossing it over to Jason. Jason also fights his group of Putties with the basketball, eventually tossing it to Kimberly. Kimberly uses the basketball to her advantage as she fights another batch of Putties. Suddenly Goldar and several more Putties appear. Goldar tells them, you think you're pretty smart Power Rangers, but trust me, your lessons have just begun! Goldar tosses a golden rope onto the ground. The Putties pick it up and carry it, as the rest of Putties manage to corral Zack, Jason, and Kimberly together. The Putties wrap the rope around the teens several times. Jason, Kimberly, and Zack struggle to break free. Goldar informs them that this magic rope will keep you behind a powerful force field Rangers and out of our way. Enjoy the class so far?! Jason shouts, you're not going to get away with this! Goldar replies, I already have! You failed this test Power Rangers! Goldar laughs. The Putties return to Goldar. Goldar tells them, they have meet their match this time. Rita's Grumble Bee will destroy the world! Goldar and the Putties vanish. Grumble Bee does well against Yellow Ranger and Blue Ranger. Meanwhile, Alpha 5 had been working a beam to free the three teens. Once they are free, they quickly morph. The three Rangers arrive. Black Ranger and Red Ranger immediately land a kick that knocks Grumble Bee off his feet. Black Ranger and Red Ranger stand protectively in front of Blue Ranger and Yellow Ranger. Pink Ranger is kneeling by Blue Ranger, making sure he is okay. Red Ranger tells them, don't worry guys. We're all here now. Grumble Bee gets back up and summons several Putties. Red Ranger, Yellow Ranger, Pink Ranger, and Black Ranger charge towards the Putties, as the Putties charge towards them. Red Ranger fights a batch of Putties. Black Ranger leaps through the air and hooks one Putty with his feet and the other with his arms. Black Ranger flips both of them away. Yellow Ranger fights another group of Putties. Pink Ranger battles yet another batch of Putties. Eventually the Putties are defeated. The battle with Grumble Bee continues until Grumble Bee is destroyed by Megazord.

Red Ranger, Pink Ranger, Yellow Ranger, Black Ranger and Blue Ranger arrive in the park and face down Two Headed Parrot. Two Headed Parrot calls them foolish and asks, do you really think you can outsmart us? Several Putties arrive and soon the five Rangers are fighting the Putties. Two Headed Parrot taunts the Rangers as they fight. Give up! You'll never win! Elsewhere, Tommy is finds a pamango fruit tree. The plan is to use the pamango fruit to have Two Headed Parrot fight itself over the fruit. Rita had been watching and she is furious that Tommy found the fruit. Goldar sends down several Putties. The Putties arrive and quickly surround Tommy. Tommy fights the Putties. The Putties overpower Tommy and hold him down on the ground as two other Putties leap up the tree and grab the pamango fruit. Tommy shouts at the Putties, stop! Give me that pamango! Instead the Putties vanish. Meanwhile, the rest of the Rangers have defeated the Putties. Eventually Two Headed Parrot is destroyed by Ultrazord.

Trini, Billy, Kimberly, and Jason are walking through the park and talking about Zack. Kimberly asks them, did you see the look on Zack's face when Angela kissed him? Jason replies, he was putty in her hands. Suddenly several Putties leap towards them. Jason tells them to spread out and they do so. Billy fights a group of Putties. Trini fights another group of Putties. She kicks one so far, it goes flying and hits a tree. Trini shouts, take that clay face! In the meantime, Peckster was set down in the city. Black Ranger arrives in the city and immediately encounters several Putties. Black Ranger fights the Putties. In the park, Jason fights a group of Putties. Kimberly is battling another batch of Putties. Jason shouts, hang in there guys! We almost got them beat! The battle with the Putties continues. Jason fights a batch of Putties. Billy fights another group of Putties. Trini is fighting yet another group of Putties. Suddenly the Putties vanish. The four teens gather together and Zordon contacts them. The four teens teleport to the Command Center where Zordon fills them in on Peckster. The four teens morph and teleport out. Blue Ranger, Red Ranger, Yellow Ranger, and Pink Ranger arrive in the city and immediately spot Peckster flying above them. Peckster makes his way towards the four Rangers, as they charge towards him. As Peckster flies by them, he knocks each Ranger off their feet with his wings. The four Rangers gather together and face down Peckster. Peckster taunts them, oh no Rangers! You better look before you leap! The four Rangers glance down and are very surprised to see Putties. The Putties quickly surround the four Rangers. Peckster tells them, you're making this too easy! Red Ranger, Pink Ranger, Yellow Ranger, and Blue Ranger battle the Putties. Eventually the Putties are defeated. The battle continues until Peckster is destroyed by Megazord.

Goldar had sent down Baboo and Squatt to plant Pumpkin Rapper among the rotten pumpkin seeds. Saturday arrived, and Tommy is walking through the park when an awful smell reaches him. Tommy walks over to the source, a pumpkin patch. Tommy wonders where the rotten pumpkins came from? Tommy shakes his head and walks away. Suddenly several Putties leap into the pumpkin patch. Tommy comments, it never ends with these clay brains! Tommy fights the Putties. Eventually he defeats them. After contacting Zordon, Tommy leaves the pumpkin patch to go to his karate tournament. Later, Blue Ranger, Red Ranger, Pink Ranger, Yellow Ranger, and Black Ranger arrive at the pumpkin patch. Red Ranger tells them to spread out. Pink Ranger decides to check behind the bushes while the rest of the Rangers investigate the pumpkin patch. Yellow Ranger and Black Ranger each pick up a pumpkin. Yellow Ranger can't stand the smell. Black Ranger notes that they don't look dangerous. Blue Ranger had picked up a pumpkin as well and taps it. Blue Ranger states, it sounds like they are devoid of any internal substance. Blue Ranger places his helmet next to the pumpkin to hear better. Red Ranger picks up a pumpkin. Well, there's got to be something to them or Zordon wouldn't have sent us out here. Suddenly the pumpkin glows. Red Ranger struggles against it, but it is too late. Red Ranger's helmet is encased in the pumpkin. Blue Ranger, Yellow Ranger, and Black Ranger have the same problem and they stagger around trying to remove the pumpkins. Pink Ranger glances over and sees her friends in trouble. She races over to her friends. Pink Ranger pulls out her Blade Blaster and slices it through the pumpkin on Red Ranger's head. It works and Red Ranger is relieved that he can breath again. The rest of the pumpkins automatically burst open. Black Ranger wonders what happened? Red Ranger informs him that they all came off once Pink Ranger cut his off. They must be connected somehow. Blue Ranger points out that all the pumpkins are moving. Pink Ranger notes, that's not good guys. I have a feeling something bad is about to happen. The pumpkins begin to float into the air and then transform into Putties with pumpkins for heads. Red Ranger tells his team, let's get them! The Rangers fight the pumpkin Putties. As the Putties get defeated they revert back to being a pumpkin. But every time the Rangers knock the pumpkin Putties down, more pop up. Black Ranger notes, these pumpkin heads keep coming. Blue Ranger points out the very large pumpkin. Red Ranger is confident that is the Rapper's pumpkin. Let's check it out. The Rangers leap over to the large pumpkin. The Rangers surround the pumpkin and are eager to wake it up. The Rangers rap as they stare at the pumpkin. The Rangers laugh and the large pumpkin begins to shake. The large pumpkin rolls away from them and then transforms into Pumpkin Rapper. Pumpkin Rapper is mad at the Rangers for waking him up with a rap that bad. Pumpkin Rapper has the pumpkin Putties attack the Rangers. The Rangers fight the pumpkin Putties with their Blade Blasters. The pumpkin Putties are defeated. Eventually Pumpkin Rapper is destroyed by the Power Blaster.

Rita had Finster create the Soccadillo monster ball to destroy the Rangers. Soccadillo was not ready yet, but Goldar sent down several putties into the park where Jason and Zack were helping Roger practice soccer. The putties dance around, but didn't engage Jason and Zack in battle. Jason and Zack wondered what was going on. Although not fully charged, Soccadillo was sent down. Jason and Zack battled Soccadillo and the putties. Soon Kimberly, Trini, and Billy joined in the battle. It continued until Soccadillo ran out of power, then they all vanished. The putties would return later to Angel Grove, along with Soccadillo. The putties and Soccadillo battled the Power Rangers until the Rangers destroyed Soccadillo.

After watching Tommy and Jason teaching a karate class, Rita wanted to make the two enemies not friends. Goldar suggested the Slippery Shark. Finster got to work right away. Tommy and Jason were walking when Rita sent down several putties. Slippery Shark was not ready yet, but his boomerang fin was and it contain the spell Rita wanted. The putties battled Tommy and Jason. The putties made sure that Tommy and then Jason caught the boomerang fin. Tommy and Jason were enemies and the putties vanished. Later, by working together, Green Ranger and Red Ranger would break the spell.

Rita had Finster create Lizzinator. The plan was to kidnap Kimberly's cousin, Kelly. Rita hope the Rangers would be busy trying to rescue Kelly, while Lizzinator destroyed Angel Grove. Kelly, Tommy, and Kimberly were in the park when several putties arrive. Kimberly told Kelly to go into hiding. The putties battled Tommy and Kimberly while Baboo and Squatt teleported into the park. Baboo and Squatt took Kelly and teleported out. The putties vanished. Later, the putties would reappear, battling the Rangers alongside Lizzinator. Red Ranger was surprised when one of the putties got behind the wheel of a car and drove it towards him. The Power Rangers would defeat the putties and destroyed Lizzinator. Alpha 5 located Kelly and the Rangers rescue her.

Several putties went down into the park and interrupt a game of flag football Trini, Billy, Jason, Zack, and Kimberly were playing. The putties ran with the football and then battled the teens. They were then defeated by the teens. Later, several putties were sent down with Rhinoblaster in a game of football against the five Rangers. The putties and Rhinoblaster did well against the Rangers and the Rangers were sent into another vortex. Green Ranger arrived and tricked Rhinoblaster, who then released the rest of the Rangers. The Power Rangers destroyed Rhinoblaster.

Rita had Baboo and Squatt go to the dungeon to get the Badges of Darkness. Rita gave them to Goldar. Goldar selected six putties to go down to the beach to train. Goldar was training them to become Mutant Rangers. One of the putties did not do well during the training. Goldar sent the one putty back to Finster's clay pot. Goldar then passed the remaining five putties a Badge of Darkness. The five putties became the Mutant Rangers. There was not a strong enough putty to become the Red Mutant Ranger and a monster, Commander Crayfish would become the leader of the Mutant Rangers. Rita was anxious to try out her Mutant Rangers. Tommy and Kimberly were walking in the park. Rita sent down the Green Mutant Ranger and the Pink Mutant Ranger. The two Mutant Rangers battle with ease Tommy and Kimberly, since they knew all their moves and even had their same voice. Later, the Mutant Rangers, including Commander Crayfish went into battle with the Rangers. They did well against the Rangers and the Rangers had to retreat. The Rangers reappeared and the Mutant Rangers were ready for them. But the Rangers had stronger weapons this time and it was not as easy. Rita threw down her wand. Commander Crayfish, Blue, Black, and Green Mutant Ranger went to giant size. The Rangers formed their Megazord. The battle continued to go well for the Mutant Rangers. The Rangers then formed their UltraMegazord. The Rangers destroyed the Mutant Rangers.

Rita knew that Zack was in love with Angela and wanted to get her pearls for her birthday. Rita had the Pearls of Stillness. Rita sent down a putty disguised as an old man. The "old man" was sitting on top of a picnic table when Zack walked past. The "old man" called out to Zack and asked him why he looked so down. Zack told him of wanting to get pearls for a friend but had been unable to find any. The "old man" opened up his jacket and inside was a variety of different jewelry. The "old man" took out a pair of pearls and offered them to Zack. Zack was hesitant and asked the "old man" if they had been stolen. The "old man" laughed and told Zack they had belonged to his late wife Edna. Edna had fallen in love with him when he had given them to her. Zack offered some money and asked if it was enough. The "old man" replied that it was. Zack happily left with the pearls. The "old man" got up and towards the swing set. The "old man" reverted to his true putty form and was very happy as he went away.
