Suddenly, several Putties appear in the park. Jason and Zack immediately spot them. Jason tells Roger to stay back as Jason and Zack race towards the Putties. Roger hides behind a tree. Jason and Zack paused. Zack asks, what are they waiting for? Jason doesn't have an answer. The Putties wiggle around but don't move any closer to Jason and Zack. The Putties stand around until Soccadillo (in a ball shape) arrives in the park. Soccadillo rolls down towards them and the Putties chase the ball around. Zack asks Jason, do you see what I see? The Putties begin to kick around the ball. Jason replies, I'm seeing it. I'm just not believing it. Putties play soccer? Jason and Zack chuckle. A Putty kicks the ball towards them and they leap out of the way. The ball reverses it's direction and rolls towards them again. Jason and Zack jump out of the way. Zack notes, man this thing's got a mind of it's own. Jason notes, it's coming this way! Zack and Jason flip over the ball shaped Soccadillo. Roger is watching from behind the tree. The Putties are afraid of the ball as it floats towards them. As the ball comes towards Jason, Jason strikes the ball away. It flies towards Zack. Zack powerfully kicks it away. A few moments later, Trini, Billy, and Kimberly arrive at the park. Trini tells her friends she will stay with Roger. Billy and Kimberly join Jason and Zack. Zack tells them, man we are glad to see you guys. Billy, Kimberly, Jason, and Zack run towards ball shaped Soccadillo. Trini stays with Roger by the tree and they both watch the teens and the Putties. Trini calls out a warning to Kimberly. Kimberly quickly does a split onto the grass, avoiding being hit by the ball. The ball then bounces off a tree Billy is by. Two Putties appear behind the tree and Billy fights them. Kimberly does several flips and then fights a batch of Putties. Landing several powerful kicks to the Putties. Zack flips towards another group of Putties. Zack fights a group of Putties. During the fight, he manages to land on the shoulders of one of the Putties. Using the Putty as leverage, Zack kicks several Putties to the ground. Jason fights yet another batch of Putties. Jason lands several kicks on the Putties and defeats them. The ball flies towards Jason, but he ducks down in time. The ball goes after Zack next, but Zack ducks down in time as well. Zack goes back to fighting yet more Putties and defeating them. The ball rolls onto the ground and then vanishes. The remaining Putties gather together and vanish as well. Later, Pink Ranger, Blue Ranger, Yellow Ranger, Black Ranger, and Red Ranger are battling Soccadillo. Soccadillo laughs as he rolls towards the Rangers. He asks them if they would like to play a little ball as he knocks them off their feet. Soccadillo rolls away from the Rangers and goes back into his monster form. You're not very good at soccer, are you?! The Rangers gather together and face down Soccadillo once more. Soccadillo tells them he's going to bring some coaches for them. Several Putties arrive. Soccadillo commands the Putties to get them. Five Putties hold out several clay ball shapes. The five Putties kick the clay balls towards the Rangers. The Rangers are hit and knocked off their feet once more. Soccadillo laughs. Score five for our side! Soccadillo goes into ball shape. Two Putties race forwards and kick Soccadillo towards the Rangers. The Rangers are hit. Green Ranger arrives and the battle continues. Eventually Soccadillo is destroyed by Megazord and Dragonzord.
Rita had come up with a plan. Finster went straight to work on creating Slippery Shark. Rita kept an eye on Angel Grove and spotted Tommy and Jason walking together. She send down several Putties to start her plan. Tommy and Jason are enjoying their walk through the park when several Putties appear. Tommy and Jason immediately got into a fight stance. Tommy comments, I knew this day was going too well. The Putties surrounded them and soon the guys are fighting the Putties. A Putty is standing apart from the rest and waits until a shark fin boomerang appears in it's hands. The Putty throws the boomerang. Jason spots the boomerang and calls out a warning to Tommy. Tommy catches the boomerang. Suddenly electric currents emits from the boomerang and hits Tommy casting him under a spell. Tommy is knocked off his feet and lands in the sand. Jason, occupied with fighting Putties, didn't see what had happened. Jason knocks away a Putty that has landed close to Tommy. Seeing his friend laying on the sand, Jason hurries over. Jason asks if he is okay. Tommy replies, yeah, that was weird. A Putty quickly grabs the boomerang and throws it. Jason spots the boomerang and quickly stands up and catches it. The Putties watch as the boomerang's electric currents knock Jason off his feet and places him under a spell as well. As the Putties get closer, Tommy leaps up to fight them as Jason lays on the sand, recovering from the shock. Tommy kicks a Putty into several Putties. They all fall on top of each other. Tommy lets out a snarl and the Putties vanish. Jason gets up and both he and Tommy are in defensive poses until they see there are no more Putties. Tommy and Jason start to wipe the sand off their clothing. Tommy glares at Jason. Jason asks him, what's your problem? The spell has taken effect as the guys want to fight each other. The following day, Slippery Shark is sent down to Angel Grove. Zordon, aware of the spell, sends Red Ranger and Green Ranger to fight Slippery Shark. Telling them their anger is not real and the only way to break the spell is by working together. After a few failed attempts on their own, Red Ranger and Green Ranger decided to work together and broke the spell. The rest of the Rangers arrived and the battled continued until Slippery Shark is destroyed by Dragonzord and Megazord.
Watching the cheerleading practices at the Youth Center gave Rita an idea. Finster created Lizzinator and sent him down to attack Angel Grove. Meanwhile, Rita also sent down several Putties to the park where Kelly (Kimberly's cousin), Kimberly, and Tommy were at. The Putties were to keep Tommy and Kimberly busy while Baboo and Squatt kidnapped Kelly. The plan went well. Lizzinator was sent and kept Red Ranger busy. Meanwhile, several Putties arrive at the park. Tommy shouts out a warning. Kelly screams and gets up. Kimberly tells her to stay back. Kimberly and Tommy charge towards the Putties. Kimberly fights the Putties using the playground equipment. Tommy fights a batch of Putties by the playground equipment. Kelly stays behind a bush and anxiously watches them fight. Eventually the fight leads to the open grass area. Tommy and Kimberly are fighting together when the Putties vanish. Baboo and Squatt take Kelly and vanish as well. Lizzinator left his battle with Red Ranger, finding it not much of a challenge. After while, Lizzinator returned and was in the rock quarry when the Rangers arrived to face him down. Lizzinator summons the Putties and orders them to attack the Rangers. The Rangers are kept busy battling the Putties. Lizzinator goes back to pushing the car. Red Ranger spots him and leaps over, landing on Lizzinator's shoulders before landing on the car itself. Red Ranger exclaims, this isn't yours. Red Ranger leaps down and opens the car door. He is taken by surprise when a Putty, inside the car, punches him. Red Ranger hits the gravel as the Putty starts up the car. Red Ranger quickly gets up and he is surprised. What?! Putties can drive? The Putty drives the car straight towards Red Ranger. Red Ranger quickly runs as he notes, yup, they can drive. Red Ranger leaps onto the top of the car. The Putty tries to shake him off, but Red Ranger hangs on tightly. Lizzinator shoots red beams at the car, and several explosions take place around the car. Eventually Red Ranger is shaken off the car and lands on the gravel. Eventually Pink Ranger, Blue Ranger, Yellow Ranger, and Black Ranger defeat the Putties while Red Ranger and Green Ranger fought Lizzinator. The battle continued until Lizzinator was destroyed by Ultrazord. After the battle, Kelly, who had outwitted Baboo and Squatt, was rescued by the Power Rangers.
The teens are enjoying their flag football game when suddenly several Putties arrive. A Putty leaps in front of Billy and catches the football before Billy can. Jason tells his friends, let's tackle them! Jason and Zack charge towards the Putties. Two Putties grab a hold of Billy and push him away. Billy does several flips and catches the Putties by surprise by fighting them. Zack fights another batch of Putties. He kicks several to the ground. Jason fights several Putties as well as the football goes flying. Billy ends up catching the football and he takes off running as several Putties chase him. Trini is fighting a Putty and flips it onto the ground. Billy steps on the Putty as he runs pass. The Putties also step on the fallen Putty as they continue to chase Billy. Kimberly fights another group of Putties. Jason carries a Putty on his shoulders as he charges towards another group of Putties. Billy manages to outmaneuver everyone as he continues to run. The Putties suddenly vanish. Later, the five Rangers face down Rhinoblaster. Rhinoblaster boosts, you power brats are no match for my team! Five Putties arrive, with football jerseys on. Rhinoblaster sends the Putties in. The five Rangers charge towards the Putties. The Putties manage to push the Rangers back. The Putties knock the Rangers off their feet. The Putties charge towards the Rangers. The Rangers get back up and flip out of the way. The Putties don't give up and go after the Rangers relentlessly. The Rangers are knocked to the ground once more. Rhinoblaster tells them, you've been sidelined! Hit the showers! Rhinoblaster blows a white mist towards the Rangers. The Rangers are hit and teleported away. Soon Green Ranger arrives and immediately punches and kicks several Putties. Eventually Green Ranger tricks Rhinoblaster and Megazord steps out of the vortex. Rhinoblaster is destroyed by Megadragonzord.
Rita had decided to use the Badges of Darkness to create her Mutant Rangers. Goldar headed down to the beach with several Putties. Goldar has them train to become Mutant Rangers. All the Putties do well except for one, number six. Goldar gets frustrated with him and threatens to make him a clay pot on Rita's coffee table if he doesn't shape up. The training continues with number six still failing. After the training, Goldar has the Putties line up. Goldar sends number six back to the clay jar on Finster's work bench. Goldar passes out the badges of darkness to the remaining five Putties as he tells them they will become the evil twin of a Power Ranger. Goldar destroys the last badge of darkness as no one was worthy of becoming Red Ranger. The Putties use the badges of darkness to morph into the Mutant Rangers. Commander Crayfish was eventually selected to lead the Mutant Rangers. Commander Crayfish gave the Putties more training. When they were ready the Putties and Commander Crayfish faced down the Rangers. The Putties morph into Mutant Rangers and a battle followed. Unfortunately they would be destroyed by Ultrazord.
